sources from the philadelphia police department have confirmed that a person of interest is in for questioning, in connection, to this case. we want to make this clear person of interest in for questioning in connection to this case. first thing i want to does roll some video and show you surveillance video police had given thus week showing that suspect. now this is the again person of interest, moments ago sources confirming that three two-year old rahim fielder believed to have been in questioning, for this case, fielder, was wanted for a separate case. he had a warrant out that was outstanding for a parole violation. he served 12 years in jail, for attempted murder and then was out for about two years and then this. we are told we are talking as we speak and fielder a's mother a says he was pick up for that parole violation and will be again questioned in connection to this case. again, i want to say this breaking news, rahim fielder is in custody in questioning

in connection to this case. we will have much more on later additions of cbs-3 at ten and 11. we are live, i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> steve, thanks for the update. police say joggers are being targeted right now in the string of incident all around the area. >> four women across two states have been victimized, "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter is in radnor township where most recent incidents happened, walt. >> reporter: jessica unfortunately police say warm weather doesn't just bring out folks with exercise and enjoying scenery but it brings out predators praying on people radnor police now drawing up charges against one suspect accused in an attack on a trail here on tuesday morning. with warm weather as people head out to enjoy the trails, that cross our region, police cautioned, predators are out there, as well, in four different incidents across two states and just over a week four women have been targeted

outdoors police say by suspects who in three of those instances assaulted them. >> and then proceeded to open hand slap her on the rear end. she turned around and she sped up, turned away and guy was gown. >> reporter: the detective tj says a 18 year-old jogger was indecent liz assaulted by curt hoist approached asking if she want aid running partner. >> it takes like her to come forward with these. >> reporter: curtis, arrested 24 hours later on this media street for allegedly assaulting another woman there. charges being filed against him for radnor trail a assault which came as jarring news for trail goers. >> i'm sad thinks a gorgeous trail. >> reporter: trail users concerned deepening after police reported another incident at the same spot friday morning where a different suspect still at large exposed himself. >> she observed this individual, this male, his running shorts down around

his ankle and he was standing there naked. >> reporter: this suspect charged in newark, delaware with the may 19th attack on the jogger on a park jail. lieutenant block's add rise was be alert and try not to be alone. >> you want to run during daytime hours and safety in numbers is one of the most important things. >> reporter: for now curtis remains, behind bars, radnor police say they want to know if he may have been involved in any other assaults. if you have any information they want to hear from you. live from the radnor township police station walt hunter, for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thanks very much. a lot of joggers are out back outside because our weather has been so gorgeous but some storms could be in the future for this weekend. meteorologist kathy orr is on the skies deck with the first look at the forecast, kathy. >> it has been a steamy daze today chris with temperatures soaring well in the 80's and we are looking at conditions that will stay quite warm over the course of the weekend. we have a rain deficit to talk about as well with the

normally dry conditions across the delaware valley. now look at these numbers looking at a deficit of allentown over 3.5 inches on have rain, below average in trenton and in philadelphia, between two and 3 inches in wilmington, over an inch below average for this time of the year for this month. as we machine for the the drought in the yellow we can see normally dry conditions but as we zoom in here we have a drought watch with the lehigh valley, berks county in the poconos and when we talk about a maryland rate drought we're talking about conditions that could create crop damage, low water levels in places like reservoirs and wells, possibility of the water shortages and even voluntary restrictions. we do have some storms on their way, they are going to be moving in over the course of the weekend capping some of that moisture that created devastation in texas but will this be enough to end our issues with the drought. we will talk more about that with the rain amount potential for weekend with the seven day forecast. >> kathy, thanks very much.

multiple times and died at the scene. a 47 year-old man and two teenage boys were also wounded. a woman identifying herself as 21 year-old victim's cousin says this is not the first time tragedy has struck her familiarly. >> on chris may eve that laid down on the ground and it is so sad because we had so many murders in chester and nothing is being done good police are asking for the public's help identifying those gunman. well suspect is pleading guilty to killing three people and injuring two others in 203, at a municipal government meeting in ross township, pennsylvania. rockne newell pleaded guilty today in monroe county court. the 61 year-old disabled junk dealer was apparently angry after being forced off his property, which was filled with debris. disturbing surveillance video comes to us tonight from

kensington. watch a suspect opened fire shooting a man walking on the sidewalk. twenty-nine year-old victim was taken to temple hospital in critical condition. all of this happened on east cambria street in kensington wednesday night right around 6:30. if you recognize that gunman you are asked to contact police. drug sting operation in delaware resulted in the arrest of 42 people tonight. this is a nine month investigation dubbed operation smack down. it targeted illegal drug trafficking, that police say was led by adrian smack and other men in new castle county. police say they confiscated 10,000 bags have of heroin, marijuana, cocaine cash, guns and ammunition. >> when you come in new castle county and deal heroin, deliver heroin or use heroin we will find you and arrest you. >> dea and fbi were also involved in that investigation. frightening moments in bucks county today mechanical issues forced a small plane to make an emergency belly

landing there. chopper three over pen ridge airport in perkasie for a landing without wheels. the twin engine plane touched down on the runway this afternoon and came skidding to a stop. no word on any injuries, the incident is under investigation. a group of young philadelphia students rallied to support the black lives matter movement. >> what do we want justice when do we want it now. >> the march was conceived by students during a classroom discussion about the riots in baltimore a few weeks ago this morning they join students from other area schools to march from the art museum to it is i hall. there they met with police commissioner charles ramsey to talk about police brutality in philadelphia. >> mostly black people, how will you change the the glowing rate of african americans, dying from police brutality and shootings. >> i'm working as hard as i can to improve relationship to make sure that officers don't use force against people, that is not necessary.

there is nothing more important then the sanctity of life. >> commissioner ramsey also thanked students from making their voices heard. he said a constructive dialogue is best way to improve relationship between residents and police department. governor wolf was in philadelphia today. >> he toured william hunter elementary school and spoke about his plans to fund education. his plan is call schools that teach, he proposed a 2 billion-dollar investment over the next four years. philadelphia would receive more than 159 million-dollar for the coming year. there are also six figure increaseness special ed and prek programs. >> this is not a philadelphia thing, thinks a statewide thing and it is why what i'm talking about and why my budget is so important, we have got to invest in education and we have to make sure that the burden for investing in education is fair. >> governor wolf said today he supports common core education standard, one day after new jersey governor chris christie

it that is time of the year again when beer, takes center stage in philadelphia. >> yeah, philly beer week officially, kicks off tonight and our matt rivers is live with more on the festivity matt. >> reporter: chris and jessica i might argue that philadelphia has beer at center stage for most of the year but this could be a more specific version of. that we are at 23rd street armory where the first official keg of philly beer week is set to be tapped not long from now but that does not mean is there plenty of unofficial kegs were not

tapped throughout the day. as far as excuse toes drink on a week day go, the start of the philly beer week is right up there with the best of them. >> philly beer week. >> reporter: the eighth installment of the annual philadelphia tradition kicked off friday, with hundreds of the event scheduled over the next ten days. breweries are joining local bars spreading gospel of beer to the masses. >> these guys are all friend, it is a tight k nit community and beer week is epitome of that. >> reporter: his beer is same color of his hat. he happens to co own the stan air tab in northern liberties and chairman of the beer week. he says philly a's beer seems different in most places because suds come first in other market i think a lot have times these guys are competing against each other or they feel like they are competing with each other and here we are celebrating beer. >> reporter: business owners are out to turn a profit and philly beer week is a good thing for their bottom line. just ask the guy this center city stapel the kite and key. >> it brings a whole new

best day is saturday. not that sunday is horrible. there usually is a bet are time to be outside. it is picture perfect from the poconos to center city to the shore. we are looking at jack frost big boulder. green in white that as long gone. beautiful day in the poconos. the let go down the shore where board are busy but temperatures are much cooler, only in the 60's, lower 70's, so most shore points running 20 degrees cooler then the city. month of may was a scorcher, we have a few days left, temperature nearly 6 degrees above average for the in month. precipitation over 2 inches below average. highest temperature 89 degrees, the losees temperature, 47 degrees. right now 86 degrees in philadelphia 86 degrees in allentown, poconos 78. millville 79. but look at the great lakes and the northern plains. temperature in the 50's and 60's. bismarck 58. shy and, wyoming 54. all this is moving east.

we have a cool pool of air behind a very strong cold front that is moving our way. tomorrow we are on the east side of the front so, warm humid air is sticking around. chance of the stray afternoon shower or storm to the west of philadelphia then as this front gets closer more numerous showers and storms on sunday. so clearly saturday would be the best bet of the weekend. sunday in the afternoon showers and storms. i think we can get that beach day in before we see these storms moving in down the shore. then front pushes through you that cool air over the plains and great lakes moving over new york and new england and pennsylvania and then we have an area of low pressure that sticks around. the combination of the cool air coming from the west and this on shore flow courtesy of the area of low pressure will keep it very cool and little bit damp as we start the month of june on monday. so june not feeling summer-like. lets look at the future rain amount where we see these thunderstorms we can see a good dose of rain. lehigh valley some amounts up to 3 inches, trenton around

two, philadelphia possibly between one and two. it will be all determine about where we see punch when that cold front moves through. overnight le temperature is 68. during the day tomorrow hot again, high of 87. chance of the scattered shower or thunderstorm, pollen count will be high with the very warm windy conditions for tomorrow, you see it goes down sunday and monday with the wetter weather. as we go hour by hour it will be sticky by noon hour, still hot, look for chance of the scattered afternoon scattered shower or storm. we are cooling down big time as june begins next monday and then we will warm it up through the week. that is your seven take forecast, we will be right back with leslie and sport
