you have got some embedded thunderstorms, difficult to see when you have the bright yellows here lightning strikes still popping up outside of baltimore see few then here within central new jersey, between basically the border of atlantic and burlington county, handful of lightning strikes popping up for you there, too. these rainfall rates are as high as about a half inch or so per hour, granted, you know looking at three hour loop here. so it is not that you are going to see pocket of rain falling over one given location for an entire hour, but still going to lead to rapid flashflooding. as a result, we mention flood advisories, there is just since been new one issued over philadelphia, delco counties, then across the river here into camden, gloucester, as well as portions of salem counties. watching certainly for some of that rain to come down very heavily, in addition, to that, flashflood watches, are posted basically, all day today. essentially for the central sliver of the delaware valley. so that tells you that we won't be done once this first round gets out of here, there

will be additional round of scattered showers and thunderstorms, that bring with them heavy downpours that could even equate to up two additional inches of rain for us out there. so that's the biggest concern. but yes there will be thunderstorms, we could even see not just lightning but maybe even some small size hail and strong wind gusts out of some of the storms, too. so very busy day. >> it is yesment looks like both commute will be affected first half of the morning ride, then again the afternoon. again rainfall rate pretty impressive, one maybe 2 inches per hour, seeing a lot of flooding on the area roadways, right nowment take you to 26th street. northbound approach 76, around the curve when you go on to the under pass, prime spot for flooding, you can see that, the left lane right there. a lot of people take this turn hard. you want to slow it down. this is rough ride right here. again only takes about foot of fast moving water to float a car. so keep that in mine. don't even try to drive through the flooded roadways, northbound at read road, again, this is before broomall. so slow. this is the back up, once you

get to broomall, then closed all the way up to villanova. so 476 northbound, closed from broomall to villanova due to flooding, the alternate would be 320 also get off at the exit five, farther south, to avoid that back up. all right, area speeds, starting to come down little bit as we head into the heart of rush hour, 25 miles per hour south on 95. we're at nine on that back up northbound, on the blue route. upper providence, again watch out for the downed tree. route one southbound at route 252, police are directing traffic again most likely weather related the tree falling down, and also, traffic light malfunction, it is a power outage because of the weather in blue bell, dekalb pike. also, new jersey turnpike, still the left lane blocked before burlington mt. holly due to an accident. that's a look at your ride this morning. back to you. >> thank you, new this morning, investigators are looking for the cause after fast moving fire that spread to several homes in delaware county. that fire displaced who are than dozen people. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us at the scene in chester with the latest, jan, good morning.

>> reporter: erika ukee, good morning, firefighters have now packed up and moved out on scene, but i want to show you what fire investigators are now going to be doing over the next couple of days, now investigating two vacant house fires, here on one street, that happened, just days within each other, in chester. we start here at 420 on bickly, right here, this is where the first vacant house fire started, that was friday night, into saturday. then we go down the row. 418 bickly. that's where the house fire started, early this morning. and this fire spread to four neighboring homes. first three there damaged by fire the one on end on the end, just had some smoke damage. so, a lot of damage done here this morning. fortunately, however, there weren't any injuries. neither to firefighters nor the people who live here. so that's the good news, how much, a lot of people have been displaced. you can see just how big this fire was. firefighters were called out to the scene around 1:30 this morning. when they got here all of the people who live on this block

they had already gotten out of their homes away from the fire as it raged t taj fire crews some time to put it out. then they remained here on scene, for awhile, as well. >> now investigating two vacant house fires folks who live here are really getting tired of it. >> woke me up, told me to hurry up and leave. i looked to the left. thick smoke. i just hurried up and ran that way. >> that's all i got. i didn't grab nothing. >> but s safe? >> just everybody safe. >> back out here live on bickly, and chester delaware county this morning, you can sigh, two homes where these fires started over the last couple of days are gutted. some severe fire damage, to the couple next-door. and then, some more moderate damage down the line, so a loft damage done here in just couple of days. now it is a task of the fire investigators to figure out what's going on here.

we'll bring you any update as soon as we get them. >> jan, thank upment another vacant building fire in pottstown montgomery county. the fire at walnut and north york streets was burning out of control for at least 30 minutes last night. firefighters got the call quick thinking ten year old with the cell phone called for help. >> i saw smoke. and then i called 911. >> it was bad. it was bad. it was coming out of the roof first. >> luckily no one was injured. >> a security scare now at citizens bank park. could land a philly fan in some hot water. the faa is investigate after security officials noticed a fan flying a drone above the ballpark during the sixth inning yesterday. faa rules ban anyone flying over the games. that fan told police he was trying to take pictures and video of the game. so far no charges have been

hoboken, crews used heavy equipment to push a flooded car to dry ground. in newark, cars partly submerged its occupants safely rescued. still, drivers did try to make their way across those flooded intersections that you know you're not supposed to do. in elizabeth, check it out pick-up truck hydroplaned. the streets became river for trash and trash cans to float around. >> ninety-five, i hit couple every month, all of the rain we had that was frightening. hey, katy? >> tell you what guys, basically situation where the heavy rain that we just showed you video from, it was just a couple of counties away really across portions of northeastern pennsylvania, northern new jersey, now, it is transplanted itself, down to our region, and yes looks like back edge to this doesn't it? not so fast. we are going to see eventually some fresh rounds of showers heavier thunderstorms, much like what we see the radar look like right now fire up again, later on today. most noticeable little pocket is definitely across central new jersey, at this point. do you still have some embedded thunderstorms, by the

lightning strikes just looking at rainfall intensity we do have within some of the red shaded areas through say portions of burlington county, over an inch per hour rainfall rates. that will just drench you and if you are trying to trap, flashflooding absolutely going to be concern. one real good thing about the rain, knocks that pollen down boy. oklahoma mulberry, pollen, see them eventually climb back up with time. but for now catching a break-in terms of the allergies. but you do need an umbrella you do need the patience, my goodness. >> this will be a slow travel day. slow morning already but as we said, those showers storms, are set to fire up again, as the day goes on. and likely lingering into tonight even tomorrow morning before we really catch a true break-in this forecast. so, going to be with us for awhile sluggish little system. >> careful on the roads this morning, as well. >> speaking of which my man. >> hurricane season begins today, as too. >> june 1st.

>> side note there. >> almost feels like hurricane, just bad timing, a lot of flooding going on this morning, we hit the roads right now take you to 26th street, northbound, approaching the 76. this is that curve under the under pass, prime spot for flooding, always happens, it is the left lane that's flooded out. you can see the water right there these cars have the right idea getting into the right lane. a loft people take this turn hard so, again, this is a problem spot, probably several inches of water, piled up. here's the back up, northbound, on the blue route again, this is before broomall at read road. once you get to broomall, 476 is closed all the way north to saint david's so again 476 northbound, closed from broomall to villanova the alternate would be 320 so you can get off at exit five, head northbound 320 if you need to head northward in that area due to flooding. area speeds down to 8 miles per hour in the back up north on the blue route. watch how i95 coming northbound before 420. there are some spots of some flooding there.

couple every disable vehicles earlier. slowing down now 95 southbound northeast philadelphia, 13 miles per hour. tree remains down upper providence, police are directing traffic at route one southbound, at route 252. that's a look at your ride. ukee, back to you. >> more than dozen people are in the care of the red cross this morning after huge fire in chester, fire swept through the homes on bickly place early this morning, five homes, were damaged but there were no injuries. >> also, there were no injuries in this fire either. but, plenty of damage. this fire tore through two story building in pottstown. the fire burned out of control, for half hour, before crews gained the upper hands. and, funeral plans are not yet complete for the son of vice president joe biden. beau biden was a former delaware state attorney general, biden passed it week friends brain cancer at the age of 46. we'll be back.

the weather. never makes for happy news on monday morning when you have got soaking rain rolling through. there is at least little bit of back edge to this round but it doesn't mean that we will be done with the wet weather, by the time this get out of here. and here's some of the rainfall rates, rainfall and the we've already pick up over 2 inches already in perkasie, glasco picked up just shy of two, wilmington just over inch and a half and the list goes on where we have seen some very good and beneficial rain, just a lot many coming at once. outside beach patrol headquarters, casino of just dreary, this morning, you can see, little glimmer of daylight out there. but you definitely got hazy, muggy, you can tell by looking at it, so i wouldn't call this stellar beach day by any stretch, we've got rip countries being up at moderate uv index up at best a six. could you get little bit of beach time in you are desperate to do so, be careful, there will be more showers, more storms, eventually start to rumble through. we have got some out there right now as we speak in fact. justin? >> yes, still dealing with pockets of heavy rain impacting first top of the

morning rush. damage done here with the flooding, the blue route northbound approaching broomall, this section is open obviously, but eventually narrows down into the shoulder, then you have to get off at brook all. but the back up is set up, several miles southward. so again we are closed on 476 northbound, between broomall and villanova exit nine and 13. the alternate would be route 320. so get off at route five near route one head northbound there. we take to you 26th street approaching 76. look at that. flooded roadway here in the left lane. that's the under pass prime spot for flooding just be careful that far state in the right lane. that's look at your ride this morning, back to you. >> thank you, we new video this morning from italy where pilot died after mid-air collision at air show. you can see the planes there flying very close to one another, when it looks like one loses power and then clips the other one. both planes then plummet into the water belowment one of those pilot survived an emergency landing but divers did find the body of the other

pilot. >> police are calling serious car crash at los angeles international airport an accident. officials say a sports sedan slammed into a terminal, critically injuring a nine year old girl on the sidewalk, then it crashed into an utility room. police say the driver may have mistaken the gas pedal for the brake. that vehicle's driver and passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries. >> secretary every state john kerry remains hospitalized in switzer land he plans to return to boston today to continue his treatment for a broken leg. now, he broke his leg in a bicycle crash in france yesterday morning. after the crash the 71 year old was flown to hospital in geneva for treatment. kerry canceled the remainder of now nation trip that included international conference on combating islamic state group. >> you have heard of some people bringing their children to work or even their pets. >> how about he will pacca? this baby el pacca now part of the dale routine at one supply store in evansvile wyoming. little cutie.

my goodness. it was orphan after its mother died birthing it last week. one of the cashiers raises el pack as, and asked the manager if it is okay to bring in the baby since it needs to be bottle fed every few hours? the manager said it was not a problem, and now that baby al pacca is the star attraction. >> it is pretty neat actualliment some people come in here, you can tell, they have not had a very good day. and they look over the counter, and their whole attitude just changes. they wack out of here with a smile. >> how could you not? >> oh, i can see how it changes the mood. >> wouldn't you wonder what the heck that was if you walk in a store? your dog? having issues? such a cute little guy. >> i'm telling you. >> no word on how long the alpacca will be able to stay if the store. they get quite big. store manager said she is open to keeping it around if customers demands it. >> my favorite shot right there. >> cute. >> just chilling. just chilling. very nice. >> did you know alpacca's love picnics. >> i'll pacca lunch.

left side, part of it is shutdown because of the flooding, and just look at that back up. justin has the detours for you coming up in just a moment. first, though, these storms, i know i was woken up by them. i think everyone in the room was, are they sticking around for the whole day? >> they will coming through in scattered rounds. and we look at the face value looks like the brunt of activity actually off new england. >> right, moving out. >> when you zoom it in, yes definitely little bit after different scenario. so we did that for you on the full screen. take a peak here, yes there is rain, granted scattered in nature, but where it is coming down coming down heavily right now mainly through burlington county then even down across the border into atlantic county. so there is i guess what you could call back edge to at least this particular round of rain and thunderstorm, the problem is we're not done, once this gets out of here, so rally almost any time today even though i think we'll have about late morning break here, by the afternoon, as early as lunchtime, then well into the evening rush, and beyond that

point, you are going to be dealing with more downpours spray from other vokes if not actually raining poor drainage flooding, you have to slow down, and do you have use caution. and also, keep in mind, there are flash watches positioned essentially for the central sliver of the delaware valley, through the entire day today for these additional rounds that will be coming in. in the meantime, it is warm, and it is steamy. even though the sunshine will be exceptional limited you're still going to have pretty easy time we think hitting 8 degrees at the height of the day. 3:00 p.m. probably up around 79. it is soggy start to the week. showers, do linger for us tomorrow, and then for the middle part of the week and even toward the tail end of the work week, looking a lot more tame. so at least we've got that going for us today by far justin the worse of the pack. that's for sure. >> that's right. atmosphere really juiced up. that's why we're seeing intense rainfall rates, one to 2 inches per hour. damage done. flooding across the region, big story is the blue route again shutdown, between broomall and saint david's headed northbound. approaching broomall, the back

up for several miles almost all the way back to route one. very slow right now eventually tapers off to the shoulder, and then you get off at broomall because past that we are closed northbound on 476. ninety-five is in good shape in delaware county. so at 452 northbound and southbound looking good, looks like rain has ended or lightened up at this point that's good news, new jersey river line suspended between the walter rand transportation center and the entertainment center also, new jersey transit's northeast corridor lines expect 15 minute delays, both directions, that's due to the weather conditions. there are your area speeds coming down 95 through northeast philadelphia, 5 miles per hour due to the back up, headed north brook all, that's a look at your ride this morning. >> thanks so. updating story we've been falling all morning long, more than dozen people displaced after two alarm fire in chester delaware current. >> i fire spread to several homes before firefighters placed under control. >> good morning, even though the fire crews have now left the scene still whole lot of work to be done. not only trying to determine the cause of this morning fire but also, another vacant house fire, fired that happened friday. that's on the end there. 420 bickly, friday's fire, you can see it, gutted that house. that is a vacant home. right next-door, 418 there is morning's fire, you can see it tore through not only that house but also spread to neighboring homes four of them the first three pretty severe fire damage, the one on the end there just has smoke damage. a loft damage on scene fortunately, no injuries, how much, a lot of people displaced five families in total, eight adult, 11 children, now looking for another place to stay, as fire investigators look for cause. if you look at the video, you can see how big this fire was. early this morning fire crews tell it is happened right around 130 that's when they

responded to find fire and smoke on the first and second floors of this vacant home here, fortunately everyone lives in this block they were able to get out of their home before even fire crews arrived. firefighters remained on the scene, to ex ding wish the fire hours later tearing down the sealing and the walls now focus turns to the fire investigation, of course, what's causing these vacant house fires we asked about squatters possibly in the neighborhood, fire crews wouldn't respond to that this morning. but of course this is all under investigation. >> 418 was vacant. nobody to rescue in 418. and the one next-door family already out of the building upon our arrival. >> heavy fire first floor second floor. first floor and second floor, we laid supply line from the hydrants at 12th street. >> so of course firefighters had a loft work this morning
