waiting a while, chris and jessica. you can see rain pulling toward the north and east, and, some brighter colors to the south along chesapeake bay and eastern shore of maryland. you see yellow and orange. that is heavy rain moving into southern delaware. spotty showers and heavier rain will be the rule right through the evening and you see heavier rain training right through cumberland county atlantic county and southern burlington county place that he is got hit hard with yesterday's storm. looking ahead we will talk about temperatures that are going to stay on the cool side, no doubt about that. and here's the rain amounts from yesterday hammington, nearly 5 inches. wilmington four. atlantic city 2.5. two in philadelphia a chats worth 2 inches of rain. we are adding on minimal amounts but still damp, dreary and cool. doppler radar estimates four, 56 inches from interior south jersey to the across the river in central delaware and more on top of that. we are not expecting any

that student posted a letter from bucks county technical school on twitter. it led to an apology and a change in policy. "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson is live at that young man's schools in fair less hills steve. >> reporter: chris, this is story of the young man who recognized something was wrong with his school and wanted to do something to make it right. little did he necessity that would mean changing a policy that has been around for years. that is until right now. >> it wasn't ferreter report even without the ability to use his legs 14 year-old jake wesley has no problem taking a stand. >> i don't think people in wheelchairs or with any disease should be excluded from activities. >> reporter: as a child jake was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a genetic disease that degrades muscles overtime. generally it makes life tough and makes life short. >> he has been a strong advocate for himself ape other kids with disabilities. >> reporter: jake's fat are keith says his son's nature

kicked in last friday when his family received this letter from jake's school. >> my wife and i were upset. >> reporter: that letter from bucks county technical high school was addressed to 60 students labeled medically exempt from the school's athletic field day n plane language it tells parents their children are not allowed to participate and they have to wear special wrist band to demote their status and if they are caught removing band or participating in the day they face quote disciplinary consequences. labeled, an inside line. >> you cannot be doing it like that. there needs to be a some kind of a system of checks and balances. >> reporter: it turns out there was. >> when i got the letter i was pretty mad. >> reporter: within ten minutes of getting that letter jake took action posting it on twitter, and connect to go special need group. jake stood up and his school took note. >> we made a mistake and it need to be fix. >> reporter: when school officials saw what jake wrote they in immediately retracted a letter that they had been putting out for years and

issued a full apology. >> i'm happy that he brought it to our attention because again, we were wrong. >> reporter: jake's advocacy already changing classroom culture making life better for students now and for years to come. >> very proud, yeah. he is the man. >> reporter: because of jake's advocacy school officials say they want to do more for special need students at school events and for activities. field day is this friday. reporting live from bucks county i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> all right steve thank you. a car strikes a building and a gas meter in upper darby this happened around 3:00 this afternoon on the 7100 block of west chester pike. reports say gas leak in the building after that accident, the crews are still on the scene there and the cause of that accident is under investigation. a bomb threat against u.s. airways flight disrupts passengers at philadelphia international airport. eyewitness shared this video

through atlantic county where we saw heavy rain yesterday. we are catching a break through philadelphia, and interior south jersey. this is what you'll see. some spotty showers here and there, some cool temperatures, and little bit of the breeze. here's some of the our rainfall reports from the eyewitness weather watchers, barbara in willow grove. clementon dave says an inch. .8 in boone a margot reporting in lynn, cherry hill saying .2 of an inch there in camden county. wild temperatures to talk about. remember sunday it is hard to recall it was 92. first 90-degree day. monday 76. today 58 temperatures rising through 60's. so a up and down roller coaster ride but we will be seeing our coolest temperatures tonight and then on our way up for those daytime highs. philadelphia a 57 degrees. fifty-five in the poconos. fifty-eight in millville. 59 degrees in wildwood. in the suburbs temperatures, fairly the same from north to south with that cloudy, cool

on shore marine influence. you can see high pressure to the north low pressure to the south keeping that northeasterly flow. ocean water temperatures in the 50's. temperatures will struggle in the 60's tomorrow. we will keep an eye on the low pressure to the south. during day thursday still a chance of the pesky shower especially south and east heights in the 60's. by friday this low pull as way, our wind relax and temperatures will be warming with a little bit of sunshine. increasing sunshine as we head into the weekend. overnight the low of 57. during the the day tomorrow high of 67, but those persistent easterly wind will be blowing 15 to 20 miles an hour. as we go hour by hour, 50's in the morning light jacket or put the lining back in your rain coat. by noon hour 61. still cool in the afternoon. 8:00p in m the temperature only 64 degrees. on the exclusive seven day forecast, 60's through thursday then 70's friday. eighty's back on saturday and temperatures bumping backup to
