>> we begin at 11:00 o'clock with breaking news. on the run for months, but late tonight, federal agents announce the two more arrests in the kidnapping of a center city jewelry store worker. both of those suspects taken into custody in philadelphia. good evening, i'm chris may. i'm jessica dean. let's get right to "eyewitness news" reporter natasha brown whose live in center city with the breaking details. natasha? >> reporter: well, atf agents

and philadelphia police worked tireless toll track these two suspects and tonight they tell us they believe all of the men involved in this vicious crime are now in their custody. >> at this point in our investigation we believe we have the thee men responsible. >> reporter: nearly two months after the brutal kidnapping and robbery of jewelry store employee along jewelers row atf officials working in conjunction with philadelphia police announced the arrest of the final two suspects they believe to be involved in the crime. >> these arrests hopefully will bring some measure of relief to the victim, to the business that these thee men allegedly target targeted, to the business community jewelers row in center city and to the public at large. >> reporter: at 7:00 p.m. thursday, atf officials arrested 26-year-old basil boo in northeast philadelphia. and 35-year-old shahid in south philly. they now join alleged accomplice khiry gay in police custody all

linked to the vicious assault and kidnapping of a 53-year-old employee of the national watch and diamond store on april 4th april 4th. agents say the victims sustained hours of torture after being kidnapped from this parking garage near the store on jewelers row. >> they abducted the victim, they allegedly struck her repeatedly used a taser to stun her, and kidnapped her by taking her out of the garage and allegedly driving her to the cemetery in southwest philadelphia. >> reporter: these two suspects were arrested tonight without incident. they will make their first federal court appearance tomorrow afternoon at 1:30. we're live here along jewelers roll tonight natasha brown cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> natasha thank you. new tonight a small private plane was forceed to land without its nose gear at philadelphia international airport. the five people on board were not seriously injured but chopper three was over the scene. firefighters sprayed flame retardant -- flame resistant

foam around that plane. the cause of the mechanical malfunction is now under investigation. developing now chinese hackers break into u.s. government computers compromising the information of at least 4 million federal workers. the breach was first detected in april. hackers in china accessed computers in the interior department and the office of personnel management which handles federal employee records records. this breach exposed the personal information of 4 million current and former federal employees including details about job assignments training and performance ratings. the state of delaware comes together in mourning for one of its favorite sons, beau biden. the former attorney general the son of the vice-president died on saturday at the age of 46. today, he was allowed to lie in honor in the stair twenty eight house his family surrounded by love and support. were beau biden arrived at

legislative hall in dover he was adorned with all the honors he had earned in life. the love of his family, the respect of his fellow citizens, and the flag of the country he serve. a life remembered in so many ways. >> major biden attorney general biden dad son brother husband and we all new him as beau. >> reporter: the story of beau it was noted was book ended by tragedy his mother and sister lost in a car crash that injured a young beau and his brother. his own live ended by cancer at 46. but the legacy he stabbed in between those events is unblemish. evidence by the hundreds who waited that pay their respects. >> it's really heartbreaking for him and his family. the public everybody is really touched by this. >> reporter: but no one feels this loss more than those who knew beau biden best his family. his wife, his two children, and

of course his father the vice-president. he stood closest to the cassette on thursday. his head often bow or in his hands public servant sharing his grief and loss as he brings his son home for the final time. >> the biden family is delaware's family. and beaus toes dedication to and love for you and your dedication and love right back is what we all want for our own families. >> the public can continue to pay its respects to beau biden at a viewing tomorrow at saint anthony of padua church in wilmington between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. and then once again tomorrow night from 6:00 until 9:00. on saturday at 10:30 in the morning the funeral mass will be held at saint anthony padua. president obama will be there and will deliver the eulogy. also gathered in somerset county, new jersey, today for a state trooper killed in a crash last weekend. governor chris christie was among those who paid respects to

trooper anthony raspa killed on saturday when his patrol car hit deer on i195 and then crashed into a tree. he was 24 years old and a year and a half into his career. we now know the dent tough of the suspect in deadly stabbing in camden county. michael i dollar the ex-boyfriend of carol brown found unresponsive in herber lynn driveway late last night. idol is charged with first degree murder. authorities say brown had a protection order against him. >> terribly shocked. this is a quiet neighborhood and everybody is friendly. um you don't you know, typical story you don't expect to hear something like that in neighborhood like this. >> if you have any information oh on idol's whereabouts call police. a police involved death sparking outrage in chester delaware county. authorities say a robbery suspect trying to get away from police on his bicycle was killed when he fell off the bike and was hit by a police cruiser.

this happened on keystone road near west 13th street wednesday night. family members identified that suspect as sherman bird of north carolina. he was said to be visiting his old neighbor. >> my son did not built for armed robbery it's that's not him at all. he's a straight momma's boy. >> it's under investigation so we're limited to what we can say but we at least want to extend the condolences to the family. >> bird says she moved her family to north carolina eight years ago to get away from violence in the city. police need your help tonight as they try to find two men who torched a mini van in camden. this surveillance video shows the suspects monday night near the corner of highland and garden avenues. they walk up to that mini van break a window and then set it on fire. now there were two similar incidents nearby just a few hours later. so if you recognize those men you are urged to call police. the delaware county spca tonight is dealing with a

shocking case of animal cruelty. this dog who they're calling trooper is between eight and 10 months old. trooper was found in darby with a shackle imbedded in his neck. in fact he required surgery just to have it removed. officials also say the trooper is emaciateed nearly nearly half of what he should way. >> we have seen our fair share of emaciateed dogs but never in the condition like where he had that chain inside his neck imbedded in his neck. >> the spca welcomes donations as it cares for trooper. you can find more information on cbsphilly.com. today in trenton new jersey assembly committee passed a bill that would make up skirting a crime. up skirting is when someone takes a revealing photo under a person's clothing. although such case which is currently be prosecuted under invasion of privacy statutes lawmakers say it's time that up skirting gets a specific ban like in pennsylvania and delaware. that legislation now heads for a

vote in the full assembly it is a yes for the little pink pill. fda advisory panel voted to approve the female sex drug called female viagra. first of a kind endorse many comes with safety conditions and it's considered a big victory for women's groups that waged a long battle for the drug. health reporter stephanie stahl has more on a historic vote. >> reporter: it's a victory for 30-year-old catherine campbell. she was among the women who test tested for the drug having lost interest in sex after her son was born. >> it's had a tremendous impact on our marriage much it's a bond that you share that's special. i feel like i pulled abate and switch with my husband to be honest. >> things changed with the drug. it works on brain chemistry to improve sexual desire in pre menopausal women. it was rejected ways by the panel because of lack luster results in serious safety concerns. the maker sprout pharmaceuticals waged an intense public relations campaign and submitted new evidence showing proved sexual satisfaction and fewer side effects.

on the third try it was approved on the condition that women be warned about side effects including low blood pressure and fainting. >> this is really a landmark decision because it's the very first fda approved intervention for female sexual dysfunction specifically low desire in women women. >> susan kellogg with the center for pelvic medicine treats women with sexual dysfunction unlike with men who have many drugs to choose from, there had been none for women. >> this actually is more than just this decision. it hopefully will open the pipeline for other new drug approval for women. and so it really will make us equal in our standing of having medical interventions for sexual dysfunction it's a great day. >> this is a recommendation from the advisory committee. the fda does not have to follow it because usually does. that announcement will be made august 18th. i'm stephanie stahl cbs3 "eyewitness news". summer down the shore a tradition for so many of us. how about owning your own jersey shore condo for maybe pennies on

the former governor of texas rick perry officially entered the republican presidential race today. he joins a long list of candidates vying for the

chester county through philadelphia, montgomery county, lower parts of bucks. i don't think it will make it into the lehigh valley. drier air there. but we are in for some light rain during the overnight. the best chance of rain early tomorrow morning and then once again drying out in the afternoon. temperatures not so bad 59 in the city. 59 degrees in allentown. 60 in reading. 57 in dover. cool temperatures to the south. state college only 57. 70 degrees in cleveland. so there is some warm air once we break out of this northeasterly breeze. there's that area of low pressure that pushes away during the day tomorrow. skies will be mostly cloudy but i think you'll see some sunshine by day's end. high temperatures in the 70s. we'll watch this front sweep on through late friday into early saturday. and it will be much warmer. dry air moving in from the northwest so we change that wind direction temperatures rising into the 80s with plenty of sunshine. and then high pressure builds in for sunday. it's coming from the north. so it will be cooler with highs in the 70s but look at that. the sun is back. i think it's been almost a week since we've seen it.

full sunshine during the day on sunday. that is my best bet for the weekend. if you are a pollen sufferer, oak mulberry and grasses on the high side. tomorrow low. moderate high for saturday and rising up again sunday. so don't forget that it will be warm and it will be breezy again. overnight the low 59 with light rain the best of chance of seeing the rain in the morning. philadelphia 74 for the afternoon high. down the shore 65. and in the poconos clouds giving way to sun the temperature 68. as we go hour by hour, by about 8:00 o'clock a few showers 59. 10:00 a.m. up to 63 degrees. near 70 by noon and then the afternoon dropping off but still comfortable if you're going out tomorrow night. on the exclusive "eyewitness weather" seven day forecast and shore cast, 82 saturday. 74 down the shore. sunday 78. monday tuesday wednesday and thursday back in the 80s feeling like summer. and highs down the shore will be in the 70s. yeah, there's a chance of a shower here or there. but much better compared to the

the phillies have had some exciting endings lately. >> it's been good baseball. we thought it was going to be dull. they closed out the series again the reds. was there another crazy finish pick it up in the first. all tied up. franco pick up where he left off last night hitting a double to right center scoring chase utley and the phillies took a two-one

lead. now in the fifth the reds got to aaron harang brandon phillips a fly ball went off the wall in left scoring a run to if i the contest. todd frazier hits a grounder to short. freddie galvis and carlos ruiz will have none every it they tag anthony at the plate but take another look at it. chooch was blocking the plate even though he could have stepped out of the way. the umps ruled catcher interference and the reds took the lead and salvaged the final game of that series reds within six to four. play at home plate was a big momentum play. freddie was very heads up. outstanding read on the slow ball and just look like it caught chooch off guard and he was blocking the mate, and it was the right call by the umpires but it was a big momentum swing there. >> all right. to the eagles now they finished second week of ota's at the novacare complex.

week three starts on monday. one of the biggest off season moves was the signing of cornerback byron mack well from seattle the birds passing defense was 31st in the league last season allowing 18 plays to 40 yards or more. that's the worst inform nfl in over a decade. eagles defensive coordinator billy davis is impressed with his new premier cornerback. >> he has come in here from day one with a real humble approach, it's not like he's johnny big shot that came from from the super bowl teams. he's coming with a workmanlike mentality and one day at a time since he's been here work his tail off. >> tonight philadelphia university honors their long-time basketball coach herb magee yet another honor. february herb became the second men's coach to within thousand games joining coach k of duke. herb was inducted into the basketball hall of fame in 2011. way to go, herb magee. man. honors role on and on. >> incredible. >> and for a great cause great guy. >> it's not easy to win a
