okay carol new this morning, the search is on for hit-and-run driver, in pennsville, new jersey. a teenager struck by a car while riding his skateboard. the accident happened just before 2:00 on the 100 block of norfolk road, right at lee avenue. >> we found a part here on the side of the road, i ran it on the internet it came back to a hyundai al landra. so kind of looking for hyundai with front ends damage. >> investigators tell us the victim is a 17 year old student, from pennsville, memorial high school, he right now this morning is in critical condition. once again police are looking for a hyundai alantra with front ends damage n details on the year and color of the vehicle at this time. >> hundreds of bike sicklies cents are getting ready for philadelphia international cycling classic 12-mile course starts and ends in manayunk.

cherri gregg from sister station "kyw news radio 1060" is live there now with the details. good morning. >> good morning, todd, i'm here at the starting line where less than a minute ago you heard the whistle blow and of course, hundreds of cyclists from around the world just began the international race. now, the men's race started and they'll be going a total of nine laps for 110.7 miles. i spoke with riders today of course, they said the hardest part is the iconic manayunk wall. they'll have to do it nine times. but, of corpse they're pack up with food, water and ready, and as for the easiest part, it is the fans, spectators thousands are expected to line the route which begins of course here in manayunk goes down around kelly drive and along the schuylkill river to strawberry mansion, and lemon hill, before returning here to manayunk, of course, to close the circuit. featured race of the day start

>> two more than 200 law enforcements agent searched around clinton correctional facility hunting forest cape east from new york's largest maximum security prison. thirty-four year old david sweat serving life in prison without parole, for murdering a broom county sheriff dispute any 2002. forty-eight year old richard matt serving 25 years to life for kidnapping, murdering and dismembering a businessman in 1997. he fled to mexico where he stabbed another man to death. was in prison for ten years and then extradited back to new york. new york governor andrew cuomo briefed at the prison seemed awed by the daring escape. >> no doubt it was an extraordinary act. i mean, you have facility that opened in 1865, just think about it this is the first escape from the maximum security portion of the institution ever. >> according to the governor in law enforcement two inmates discovered missing during 5:30 bed check. there was hole in their cell wall. manhole was found uncovered outside the prison wall, and

prison uniforms left nearby. governor cuomo tweeted photos of himself inspecting pipe. prison officials believe the inmates crawled through to escape underground. suspected the inmates used power tools to smash their cell wall, and stuff clothes under bed covers to fool guards. >> we want to find out exactly how it happened, suggestion that they needed power tools to accomplish this. how did they get the power tools, from who how? >> spokeswoman sales the royal canadian mounted police are on alert, as women. clinton correctional 25 miles from the border. >> that law enforcement warnings the public they should not approach these men if they see them, they should contact police immediately. >> residents across the central planes are bracing for more wicked weather today. several tornados touchdown in eastern colorado over the past few days. leaving behind, a path of destruction. in one denver neighborhood, motorist hads to dig out from piles of hail, more than a foot high. flooding is also a big concern

temperatures are going to be so pleasant, the humidity levels are fine. it won't be all that windy. just a wonderful day. sixty-four in philadelphia, we have 59 degrees, in allentown right now 50 degrees up in the poconos and 63 down in wildwood. so temperatures will be warming up. everybody gets very, very pleasant. colorado, seems to be doing okay right now. but, we are seeing in the center of the country that there is a front and we will be watching for this front to be moving in our direction. this is the one that is going to be with the weather maker for us late in the day monday, then maybe again tuesday as this front comes in our direction before it gets there, warm air from the south, gets pumped into the region, so i think you'll notice humidity increasing as we go through the day on monday. but, in the today. today, mostly sunny temperatures are going to be in the upper 70s. this is just perfect. windows open, great sleeping weather, it is wonderful. tomorrow, little bit more humid. eight a degrees. we do find chances of showers

thunderstorms, as this front starts to get closer and closer to us. and by tuesday it, might still be near enough we continue with the higher humidity, temperatures in the 80s and continuing chances of showers and thunderstorms. let's see if this computer model has changed its minds about anything. as you know it, will often do that as we go through the course of the morning, at this point, it really doesn't t does seem to want to bring few more clouds this afternoon through the poconos, maybe through allentown reading. otherwise, we've got sunshine for the area, by the time we get to tonight really nice. tomorrow, looks fine, starts the day humidity comes up, but we are awaiting the front. and the front starts to filter on through as we get through the lay afternoon time period, by 7:00 whatever you have seen through philadelphia, very quick, at least moves on through, we still continue with some showers, off to the north, and start to set this little line up through the north. and that's why i think the heavier precipitation totals would be areas well north of philadelphia, but maybe through the allentown area, as

well. so, just something to monitor and then by the time we get to tuesday, we are not totally out of it, because we might still be dealing with some showers, possibly, over more widespread area. and then by wednesday, that is out of the picture. so enjoy the weather today. and tomorrow, know, that there could be specially to the north, picking up some of the heavier amounts every rain. 78 degrees philadelphia, today. sixty-eight at the shore. poconos, 72 degrees. it is pretty perfect except for that moderate risk of rip current. pretty cool ocean at 60 degrees. now, enjoy this. we don't get another day like this for at least seven or possibly 30 more. 78 degrees, winds out of the southeast today. 62 degrees tonight. with some clouds overnight. and then, tomorrow, eight a degrees. chance of shower or thunderstorm especially later on in the day same deal on tuesday. wednesday, 86 with sunshine. then 09 degrees on thursday, and friday, todd. >> looks great. thanks carol. time now to check the roads.

lets guess out to cbs-3 ann evans at the cbs-3 traffic center. good morning again ann. >> good morning to you todd. you're look telling ben franklin parkway, site of today's philly cycling race. ben franklin parkway is shutdown between logan circle and the art museum circle along with martin luther king drive between montgomery drive. kelly drive shutdown for the race lincoln drive main street shutdown manayunk, between ridge avenue and green lane. and ridge avenue shutdown between schoolhouse lane and hermit street. now these closures in effect from now until 5:00 this evening. so that's pretty long. it is a pretty long race. we move the track cam here to i-95. this stretch between highland avenue and commodore barry bridge near chester not too far from the state line. i95 in good shape through philadelphia, and its suburbs no delays or problems today. and, on to the walt whitman bridge mid-span, you heard carol say, what beautiful day it is, gorgeous day to head on down to the shore. if that's what you are doing. no delays on the walt whitman bridge. it is in fine shape. further up, 42, 55, a.c. expressway garden state

people were like, hey, can you teach me that? and i was like i guess i can! >> it is a good challenge. it pushes you to your limits. >> there you go. >> i just had to try it out. we met up at k and d family marina for a beginner course. normally you paddle out into the bay for class but because of the winds we needed to stay tethered to the peer. crystal started class with a easy pose. >> take deep breath in. raise your hands high. >> but, she quickly moved onto more challenging ones. >> exactly what you are doing is exactly right. and there is no bay monsters. so nothing going to happen if you fall in. >> the biggest challenge? staying dry. >> balancing with the water definitely, and having constricted amount of space was difficult. i'm used to being able to spread out little more. >> the instability of the board makes you work hard, and shows you where you may cheat in a regular yoga class. but then at the end you just can't beat the feeling of dipping a finger or tow in the cool water.

trap. >> kathleen thought an energy efficient front load washer would be state-of-the-art. but she quickly regretted buying it. >> i really couldn't take it any more. there was black mold, actually getting in there. so true house and human safety hazard. >> the problem is poor drainage around the door. entire towel is needed to some up the extra water trapped after every load. >> has stench to it. >> calls to the manufacture remember even more frustrating. >> just no remedy for it, except, it is my job to clean out the machine every time. so clearly, if i had known that i never would have purchased the machine to begin with. i would have don't a top loader until they figure out better design. >> class action lawsuits are now pending against several top washing machine makers. like this one against frigid air, which made kathleen's washer. other owners are claiming front loaders were would produce mole or mildew odor that can permiate a consumer's home. >> the company new that there was a problem as early as april of 2007. and rather than recalling the

machine, letting consumers knee there was a problem they continued to sell those machines. >> frigid air disputes the existence of design defect. other manufacturers say the majority of customers are satisfied. these machines work well if the operating instructions are closely followed. appliance repairman hears complaints all the time. >> they'll describe the odor they get as swampy type smell. >> now happen which new machine that has better drainage around the door. but, she may join the suit if her case is eligible. >> that is very frustrating as consumer you reach out to the manufacturer saying here is clear design problem. can you fix it, can you replace it and they don't stands behind their own product. >> if your front loading washing machine smells, there are some things you can do on your own that may help. wipe down the door with disinfecting wipes. keep the door open as long as you don't have small pets or children in your house. reporting for three on your side i'm jim donovan. >> the storms brought lots of

bright beautiful morning carol. yes, it is. it couldn't be better, i have couple of bodies of water to show you, one large, one small. jack frost big boulder twinkling water right now looks just lovely up there. the temperatures were cool this morning. 41 degrees up in the jack frost big boulder area this morning. but you warmed up into the 50's, on your way to about 72 degrees. another body of twinkling water, and this is in atlantic city, this is a large body of water. of course. and you can see we've got another picture in margate. beach still empty. but i think it is because we've got temperatures that are in the 50's at this point. so we will continue, my microphone falls off we continue, and we look at another picture. as we go through what we are experiencing as we go through the rest of the day today we've got some nice looking bet weather t starts already. temperature in the 60s right now through philadelphia. that is going to be warming up. i would say probably about

78 degrees is pretty good average of where we will be finding these temperatures as we go through the rest of the day. sixty-one is the temperature right now up at trenton. we have 64 through the wilmington area. so it is very, very comfortable out there right now. it just gets more so going through the rest of the day. storm scan3 showing not much going on. we can't even track any clouds out there it looks so beautiful. and all of our weather watchers, and aim he sure you also saying hey we can't do any better than this. maybe we can't. we've got temperatures in the upper 70s today. mostly sunny skies high pressure in just the right spot. but doesn't stay there. as you can see we've got cold front that's going to be coming through. that's monday, tuesday. that's going to increase the humidity temperatures and bring chances of picking up shower around here, as well. then as we go through time, we see a couple of clouds, maybe little bit later on today through the 1:00 area. around say through the poconos allentown, nice day up there as well.

sunshine through philadelphia, and the shore. could be a breeze later on this afternoon especially, to the west, and maybe little bit after on shore breeze, along the shore but still, it is a much better day through cape may county, ocean city, than it was for portion of the time yesterday. now, we've got temperatures that will be nice tonight. they will be dropping down into the 60s tonight. we still have clear skies tonight. overnight, doesn't look bad at all. actually, much of the day on monday, doesn't look bad. but notice, this. this is the front that's going to be coming here at least in advance of it. and you can see some showers start to break out and we see them moving through philadelphia around 6:00. by 8:00 tomorrow night still dealing with couple of them. and they are off to the north primarily, i think the most rain that you would see any place, should be to the north but we can be picking up some showers elsewhere, as well. and then, as we get through tuesday, still dealing with these showers as this front actually comes on through the area. soap, just something that we have to continue to monitor as woe go through time. and wednesday looks like the sun returns and so does some
