re this took place as they continued to investigate. we know the woman is 22 years old, and that she was shot in the face with what we are told is a small caliber bullet. they did find a single casing on the porch of the home. now, reports are that the woman opened the door at about 4:00 this morning, and when she opened that door, she was shot in the face by one of two men, we are told, the time those two men did flea the scene. the direction is unknown this morning. but we are told that the woman was fortunate that the bullet was not a larger caliberment take listen to police now. >> in addition to somebody getting shot in the face, there were other people inside the house that are witnesses either heard something or saw something, and they're being interviewed by east detective division. if you were to ask me is she going to make it, i don't know

fortunately for her it was a small caliber bullet. >> and as you heard there place saying that woman was fortunate it was a small caliber bullet that shot her in the face this morning single bullet, we're told, you heard the police office their mention that there were witnesses in the home, we are told one wants actually when he heard the shot escaped from second floor window on to the roof. police had to go on ladder and bring him back down. he and other witnesses are being interviewed by east detective this morning. and that woman remains in critical condition at temple at this time. erika, diane? >> incredible, justin, thank you. >> promising new jersey high school football player is now fight to go survive after he's the victim of a hit-and-run crash, 17 year old just riding skateboard home when he was struck. >> accident happened early sunday morning, pennsville salem county. jan, good morning. >> reporter: diana erika good morning. staff and student here at pennsville memorial high school are all being asked to wear the score colors today in support of the classmate who was critically injured over the weekends. and there is growing support on social media as well, a lot of the student here have actually changed their profile picture into a blue and gold ribbon, with the hashtag underneath saying kyle strong. take a lock at this video right now. school officials have identified the 17 year old injured early sunday morning as kyle, more than 24 hours now, since he was critically injured during a hit-and-run accident. today police are still looking for the driver who left the scene. investigators say he was hit just before 2:00 a.m. yesterday while ride hadding is skateboard home. this is what the scene look like when the sun rose on north hook, orange paint marks where his keys and hat were located. police say the 17 year old

struck by someone driving hyundai elantra. at this time unsure about the color, but do say the car has significant front ends damage. meantime, his classmates at pennsville memorial high school will no doubt be thinking about the teenager as they finish up their last two weeks of school here. they say the junior is beloved here in pennsville. >> i felt sick to my stomach when i woke up and i heard my dad talking about t very nice kid. very loved in school. everyone lovers him. >> so this is a look at the picture making the round on social media in support of the star football player. the teenager still in the hospital this morning. the high school's athletic facebook page said he had surgery yesterday. and that his family is also thankful for all of the support, this community is showing, and of course if you have information about this hit-and-run, you are asked to contact police. we're reporting live in pennsville, jan carabeo cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> jan, thank you. right now 5:33. we want traffic and weather together. start things off with katie. we have threat of storms.

hunting park a woman is in critical condition after she was shot in the face on north franklin street. so far police have no motives in the violence. >> two men are in custody in connection with vandalism in center city. police say there may be more suspect. debris was toss from the highrise at broad and arch street. a mcdonald's window was also broken, but it is not clear if these acts are connected. and 17 year old kyle is in critical condition this morning, after a hit-and-run in pennsville salem county over the weekend. the driver remains at large and investigators say the car could be a hyundai elantra based on evidence found at the scene. they believe it has front ends damage. >> now $100,000 reward for information on two convicted murderers, they used power tools to break out of their adjacent sells at a new york prison. investigators want to know how they got those power tools. >> coming upon 5:53, we opportunity get your traffic and weather together. >> good morning, everyone, starting the morning offer

australian man in custody after what appears to be temper pan drum almost led to tragedy. forty-eight year old man stole a bulldozer and then just started smashing things. he allegedly target add man in a front yard, and then smashed the bulldoze near a house where a woman and her daughters had to run for their lives. the suspect was caught when a police officer lept into the cab, douse that man with pepper spray, a n then pressed the emergency stop button. scary, though. real did i some damage there. no kidding. still ahead this morning on "eyewitness news", our bodies of corcon stantly sending a

and the home where this took place, on the 4100 block of north franklin street here, we are told that woman opened her door just after 4:00 this morning. she was shot by one of two men who left the scene. one person inside the home we are told, when he heard the shots, jumped on to the roof of the home, police went on a ladder to bring him back down, one before three witnesses who were in the home, who are now being questioned by police, at east detective. we are told one reason why this woman is alive at this moment is because the bullet here was a small caliber built, that did shoot her in the face, one casing found on the porch of the home this morning, and here's what police have to sayment take a listen. >> other people inside the house that are witnesses either heard something or saw something, and they're being interviewed by east detective
