the police officer behaving irresponsiblely. >> policies, our training, our practice do not support his actions. he came into the call out of control and as the video shows was out of control during the incident. >> reporter: video shows the 41-year-old casebolt is white push black girl to the ground and waving his gun at other unarmed teens he and 11 other overspunned to the call. >> i do not condone the actions of those individuals who violated the rules of the community showed disrespect to the security person on scene and to the officers who responded. however, we as the department are held to high standard of action as we do our job. >> reporter: this situation is the latest in a number of incidents involving white police officers questionable use of force against black people. despite casebolt resignation his actions remain under

investigation. and no dig has to made whether charges will be filed against him. >> we all have to learn from what occurred and how do we address this and moved forward? >> the nc nacp is asking the department of justice to review this case. >> a search is underway for personal who called local delivery driver. a 63-year-old man was gunned down as he loaded his truck in yeadon delaware county. find a killer. childs was getting ready to hit the road just after 3:30 a.m. to make a delivery when the man took less than $30 and shot him in the head. another driver may have seen the suspect and police released this sketch. >> complete devastation. only thing i can say. >> reporter: brad runs ridgeway industries a chemical cleaning company that supplies restaurants. he hired childs 15 years ago. >> overwhelmed with grief and it was just so shocking to hear about it this morning and coming down here and witnessing the whole thing the. >> reporter: he and co-worker frank considered child as friend. >> where do we turn from here? how much worse can it get? i'm just devastated. >> reporter: two bullet holes one in the truck and one in the loading dock roof can be seen. chief monthly will he know told "eyewitness news" investigators are looking at surveillance camera rah footage. >> we're trying to look at the video that we have to improve the image.

>> reporter: as police continue their investigation, childs colleagues will be back to work wednesday. with one man on everyone's mind. >> something has to be done about this. this guy has to be caught and taken off the streets. >> reporter: what happened behind hee is believed to be a random crime. the chief says he has several leads in the case. david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news". community comes together in pennsville to support a student critically injured in the hit-and-run. "eyewitness news" was at pennsville memorial high school tonight for a candlelight vigil. kyle a member of the school's football team was critically injured in that hit-and-run on sunday. he was hit by car while riding his skateboard on north hook road. >> we want to thank on behalf of his dad john, his step dad larry, his brothers and the rest of the family all the out reach. we are very overwhelmed and thankful for the prayers and to please continue keeping kyle every night in your prayers. the alleged driver in that

case 23-year-old zachary mcdonough has been charged. local actor and playwright michael toner is in critical condition tonight. philadelphia police are looking for the driver who hit toner and then kept on going in center city around 1:00 o'clock this morning. toner was crossing market at 11th in the rain when he was hit. his injuries so severe doctors had to amputate one of his legs. so far police have no eyewitness eyewitnesses. "eyewitness news" has learned that all lanes have just been reopened on the portion of the pennsylvania turnpike's northeast extension that's been closed tonight. the southbound lanes near the lansdale exit had to be shut down for repairs after a sink hole opened up in a construction zone. but again the good news tonight all lanes have been reopened. we also have update right now on these homes that are teetering on the edge of disaster in burlington county. it has taken while but officials are coming up with a plan to help those whose houses are in danger of sliding into the delaware river.

"eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones has this new information. >> reporter: it was a devastating landslide that forced people out of their homes homes. >> it gives i was real sense of change of seasons. >> it is a million dollar view. >> for chris and lynn o'dell their million dollar view turned into nightmare in late april when much that you are backyard simply disappeared dropping 70 feet into the delaware river and they were told by authorities they needed to get out. >> probably 75% of the house packed up in the first week or so. you know, expecting that you know, all of these things were going to happen very quick pace. and then things kind of slowed down. >> reporter: every night for the past seven weeks or so the o'dell's have been staying with friends, family, and even in hotels. that is beginning to wear thin. and right now their lives like their home here are very much on the edge of a cliff and they have no idea what the future holds. >> the couple did receive some good news, though, lawyers working for burlington county sent them a letter indicating the county was going to acquire

their property and their next door neighbor's house too. appraisers have been out to expect the property so far no settlement offer has come in. >> they tell you to have plan b. we have a through z because it could happen at any given moment at any given time. >> o'dell's workers say workers sealed off the leaking drain water pipe owned by the county which they believe caused the erosion. >> government doesn't move at the speed you'd like to sometimes. >> for the time being they spent as much of their time as possible soaking up this view during the day as they wait and wait some more. >> it never leaves your mind. >> reporter: so the o'dell's essentially right now are stuck with no real place to call home. reporting live tonight in florence, new jersey, todd quinones cbs3 "eyewitness news". all right todd, thank you for the update. hundreds of law enforcement officers are fanned out across upstate new york as they on continue to search for two escaped killers tonight.

david sweat and richard matt broke free from a mack mum security correct al facility. the search today focused on the small town of willsworry aft two men were seen there walking down a rural road in the middle of the farmland. a prison below named joyce mitchell has been questioned about the two escapes but she's not been named a suspect. today the federal railroad administration issued a safety advisory for passenger railroads in the wake of the deadly amtrak derailment in philadelphia. it's recommended commuter railroad identifies sharp track curves and adjust automatic control save tow systems to prevent trains from going too fast in those locations. in auto mat tick train control is not available a second crew member should be in the cab while the train is moving through speed restricted areas. eight people were killed when a train derailed in port richmond last no month. >> dennis hastert pleaded not guilty to charges in federal court in chicago today.

♪ a delaware county teen springs into action helping save an umpire's life during baseball game. >> this is 16-year-old michael brodzinsky. he's a student at academy park high school also a youth firefighter certified in cpr with darby borough and sharon hill fire companies much his training came in handy monday night. he had just reached second base when the umpire at home plate collapsed so michael ran to him and used his training to save that man's life.
