marva says nearly 3500 customers are still without power. damage is widespread in south jersey. we are hearing some residents might not get their power back until sunday over there. that has residents wondering how prepared power companies were for the storm. >> i don't know if they just didn't take it seriously if they knew what was coming. because even when you watched the weather they talked about tornado, low threat, but they did mention the high winds that they weren't really prepared. if they were waiting for somebody to come up from maryland why isn't that person here already? >> utility crew from his nearby states are on their way, to assist, in the clean up efforts. good morning lets get traffic and weather right now with katie. >> good morning ukee. good morning everyone as well. we are starting off on a quiet note but there will be fresh showers and thunderstorms that head our way from a separate disturbance. it is first in two that will be moving into our region. they are bringing us a significant pattern change.

starting off looking at storm scan three it is pretty much just quiet. even though we will have hint of ground clutter that is not representing the precipitation that we see there in pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. we do have a couple of clouds. beautiful sunrise as we speak. we will see the sunrise in philadelphia anyway, within the next three minutes actually but on storm scan the wider zoom you cane again pretty quiet across most of the northeast. there is that disturbance off to the west bringing heavy rain nasty thunderstorms already through mid western united states and that is heading our way essentially moving from west to east. so, this is the first of what i mentioned in a line or in a series of systems that will bring in this pattern change. so today here's the general goodies, clouds build with time thunderstorms with showers later on and then for friday scattered residual showers. saturday system number two comes along and that will likely douse us the moses specially for p.m. hours on saturday and sun dane

that then ask for a raise. a aside from being intimidating and nerve racking for a lot of people fear of rejection is what detracts folks from having that conversation. in fact a new survey from robert half shows 89 percent of americans think they deserve a raise but little more than half of that plan to ask for one. as i mentioned 32 percent said they would rather clean their house and get this 7 percent said they would rather undergo a painful root canal then sit down with their boss then ask for a pay bump. should you decide to speak up, experts say it is best to go in with a strategy. >> i feel like i need a raise and this is why here's what i have ton for the company. >> that was short and speak. if your bosses turn you down for a race, don't get discourage, experts add it might be a good time to ask for better hours or more vacation and things like job perks and that sort of thing. remember confidence is key here so say it with authority

their fence and we are told this area will pick up around breakfast time which is scheduled for 8:00 this morning. look at the video. of course, these people need a place to refuel for yet another long day of clean up. delaware county was especially hard hit by tuesday night's high wind and heavy rain. at the height of the storm county officials say more than a hundred thousand homes were with the power and as ukee mentioned some 27,000 peco customers here in delaware county alone are still in the dark. crews continue to remove trees, down wires, from the road and then many neighbors in delaware county are dealing with damage to their homes as well after that storm toppled many trees here. this shelter at brookhaven boro hall will serve three meals a day until the power is back on. >> we have opened up the shelter here for our residents who are always here for them, we're a community. we serve them food. they have shelter. they want to charge their phones. we're here for them. >> their spirits have been great.

atlantic city electric says more than 128,000 customers are in the dark right now and pse and g, 14,000 outages and del marva says nearly 3500 customers are without power. good morning delaware county remains in the state of emergency with little more than 25,000 peco customers without power after tuesday's fast moving storms. this morning the boro hall in brookhaven is serving breakfast to those still without electricity after tuesday's storms. >> response is taking longer than county leaders expect. they said don't expect power to be restored county wide until sometime on friday. >> we have no where else to go so it is nice that we have somewhere that we can all spend time together. >> the philadelphia union will open up ppl parkas a shelter at 11:00 a.m. together for delaware county resident to shower, cool off get food and water. you forget how much you rely on electricity, until this happened. >> the hard hit areas may in the get their power back
