severely impacting road and will it a affect us all day long. >> thankfully i can report no, for a change, every day as ovulate, it is like it will get worse with time. we have been dealing with so many different days. tuesday has been day of severe weather for our area last tuesday we had that macro burst roll through yesterday we had possible tornadoes roll through. i want to start off very quickly. lets go out to a short list of the handful this is not an exhaustive list but a handful of some of the storm reports that came in. man, did the lehigh valley get clobbered. funnel cloud one of several in fog alsoville another in white hall township reported 1.75-inch sized hail. that is big stuff and it led to some damage. there was wind damage in north catasauqua and cedarville pick up 64-mile an hour gust. i have family and friend, texting me all evening just telling me what had gone on. it is truly a mess up that

way. for now storm scan three beginning to clear out from the worst at least of the heavier then are storms. we had a slew of severe weather, severe thunder storm watches, warnings in and out of effect. you can see lightening basically follow trail of lightening. that is now being pushed out basically off to the north and we are left with lingering rain showers. so granted flood advisories are still posted, that will last another hour or so. we have flash flood watches posted for another hour or so, however, we are going to catch a break. we are not out of the woods don't get me wrong. i still think you'll see a shower or thunderstorm today but no where near weather threat we had yesterday and it will not be near the coverage zone. granted they were scattered thunderstorms but man they covered broad area, vittoria over to you. >> absolutely they did. even though unfortunately some of that rain has calm down a little bit it is severely slick causing a dangerous

situation out on the roads. let's first take a a look at some flooding that was happening on martin luther king drive. this is video shot earlier this morning not too far from sweet briar. you will notice cars are just pushing that water through pretty thick out there we saw this all start yesterday. i noticed yesterday traveling on i-95 specifically, around 476, yesterday evening when i was reporting, there was just huge puddles people were trying to move through. it is every where. just take it ease think morning if you can. a lot of this weather has impact the airport but let's talk mass transit. we have had some delays due to amtrak signal problem. airport line as well as wilmington newark line had been suspended. paoli thorndale was suspended earlier this morning but restored but we want to advise you to anticipate residual delays. definitely give yourself more time and be mindful of the accident westbound on the schuylkill and montgomery is still out there it is fatal and we will keep you up kateed

on. that that is what we are doing right now. ukee. we are getting new information on a deadly accident that killed two people this morning on the schuylkill expressway. >> the investigation will have an impact on your morning commute on i-76 all morning long. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us near that scene. justin what have you learned. >> reporter: erika and ukee, we are on the 76 going west toward montgomery right now as traffic is flowing smoothly at this point but we do know that wreck was a single car accident and was fatal indeed. there were two people dead on arrival at the scene. one person taken to a nearby hospital, in word on the gender or age of those involve. lets get you now to video of that scene. we are seeing a aftermath of the wreck happened in the 3c o'clock hour of this morning. overnight that car overturn and caught fire, right on the right side, striking the barrier there and catching fire again there there were three people inside there, two

would die, one taken to the nearby hospital. the response to the scene was intense throughout the morning. i will she you traffic here along 76, we saw lots of police cars and other traffic investigators. i can tell you as we approach the montgomery drive ramp here it is starting to backup here. if you are driving in this area expect to slow down as vittoria has been saying. earlier there was less traffic it was moving smoothly, they have restricted the investigation to the far right lane, of the 76 but now it appears that as more cars make their way on to the highway this morning that you can look forward to some hiccups and slow downs along the way. we will update you throughout the morning. we are live here on the 76, i'm just continue finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thanks very much. later today the national weather service will investigate a reported tornado sighting in chester county and funnel cloud in lehigh county. meantime a few hundred people still don't have power in lehigh county. white hall township took the

brunt of the damage from yesterday's fast moving storms. wind toppled trees and ripped off roofs of several homes. power outages made for a slow evening commute due on some traffic lights that went down. one home owner describes her experience as the storms rolled in. >> the wind were stronger. we went in and ran down to the basement and, a few seconds later heard a loud crash of the roof coming down. >> white hall township remains under a state of emergency this morning. township officials report in serious injuries as a result of last night's storms. governor wolf wants to find common ground after governor vetoed the entire state budget propose by republicans. >> i ran a business and if i took a budget that looked like this to my bank they would have thrown me out of the office. so, on just math alone this isn't part of the ship, this is not math, two plus two

the lying and stealing has already happened. the horse is out of the barn. we have to get it back in and you can only do it by force. >> not everyone was cheering yesterday in new jersey. hundreds protested outside of the governor's announcement, many teachers and public employees. they claim governor has not funded public pensions like he promised and governor christie will dot the same, likely if elect president. governor is joining a crowded field of republicans who have their sites set on the white house in 2016. other g.o.p. candidates include jeb bush donald trump and former pennsylvania senator rick santorum. so far only four democratic candidates are seeking the parties presidential nomination, and they include front runner hillary clinton vermont senator bernie sanders, former maryland governor martin o'malley and former rhode island governor lincoln chafee. and another black church in the south catches fire, and at least six have burned since the deadly church shooting in charleston, south carolina andrew spencer reports that the fbi has now joined the

investigation to determine the cause of the latest fire at mount zion ame. >> reporter: fire tore through mount zion, church tuesday night. carter jones tweeted out these photos as crew from his multiple agencies tried to put the fire out. the brick building still stand but the roof, collapsed into the church and flames gutted much of the inside. >> the fire has been contained, right now, they are in investigation mode. we have members of our state, investigating team and they have also been supplemented, and added to by the bureau of alcohol, tobacco and firearms. they have investigators there as well. >> reporter: atf says it investigates fires in houses of worship fbi joined the investigation as well this isn't the first for mount zion am e. the last building burned down in 1995. atf called that arson carried out by members of the kkk.

recovered. fire fighters are making progress on this wild fire in washington state. but, not before dozens of homes have been destroyed. the fire in the county is now 10 percent contain. nearly 3,000 acres have burn. flames are being fueled by high temperatures, and strong winds. officials say that a brief rain storm earlier helped crews. new to some dramatic video out of maine where officials pluck two children to safety. the fire department provided this video of the rescue right here, the pair were stuck in the middle of the fast moving rapids for more than an hour after being knocked from the inner tube. rescues were able to throw a rope to the pair who were not injured. ukee. team u.s.a. is in the women's world cup final once again, after incoming off top ranked germany tuesday night in montreal. delran's own karlie lloyd played a key role in the victory. heather daniels reports now from new york. >> u.s.a., u.s.a. >> reporter: from canada, to
