much. city is covering up trash cans in the party zone as part of the security plan. we are told this will prevent anyone from putting explosives inside of them. deputy mayor for public safety everette gillis on says there has been talk about potential terror threats around the nation but he is not aware of any specific threats. he says city's security preparations have been extensive. >> there are things you will see much like today. you will see a little bit more of the police presence in uniform but there are things you will not see. because you won't see it, i won't tell what you they are but we are fully prepared. >> reporter: city officials are urging everyone to be vigilant, if you see something, say something. new system is in place to help people on a crowded ben franklin parkway, if you go out out where they are if they need help or get separated from their group. office of emergency management joined with police and fire continue on stall these signs on light poles. you'll see signs have a letter and a number.

holmes the grandmother found murdered in her east mt. airy home this week. police are still searching for eight five-year old's killer. she was found dead in her rumfort road home on monday. investigators found her car abandoned in north philadelphia the next day. prosecutors are now charging robert diluzio of murder are in the shooting death thursday afternoon of daniel santiago. police say he shot santiago several times on the 2800 block of orthodox street and later died at the hospital n word on a motive to are that shooting. camden county police are asking for your help to find victor bennet, he is accused of shooting a police officer in the arm in camden wednesday night. that shooting happened at park boulevard at kenwood avenue. police say bennet fired at the officer as he drove by in an unmark vehicle. $5,000 reward is being offered in that case. still to come on "eyewitness news" caught in the crowd see how these

back object "eyewitness news" now with a live look over center city, people starting their fourth of july weekend but some rain could spoil a part of the holiday meteorologist kate bilo is tracking the rain in our cbs-3 weather center, she will the latest forecast in just a few minutes. police in upper darby say a different type of cloud just might help them catch a pair of thieves. they are accused of taking pictures with a stolen cell phone, and then those images ended up on the victim's digital cloud. "eyewitness news" reporter syma chowdhry tells us more. >> the dummies started taking picture of one another.

>> reporter: these two men are not models but instead of posing forehead shots they should get ready to take mug shots. >> there is no doubt in my mind these guys are responsible for theft of the car, theft of the phone and theft of the money. >> reporter: upper darby police superintendent michael chitwood says two men targeted a best quality pizza delivery man at the park lane east apartments early monday morning. >> the importance of getting these guys, is high on the radar screen. >> reporter: victim came to this apartment complex to make a delivery and left his car running, went inside building, came back out and saw his car was missing with $500 and a cell phone. >> he then runs down a couple of three blocks and sees upper darby police officer. >> reporter: they find the car several blocks away with the cash and phone missing. the phone tracking device was turn off. by the next day victim noticed these new photos up loaded to his cloud account. >> the frightening thing about it is the two individual are showing off a sawed off shotgun, which is a nasty
