"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live at police headquarters to tell us more about that, justin. >> reporter: nicole, good morning. police are working overnight on all four cases most recent happening at 3:30 near broad and hunting park avenue. lets get to you that video. that is a park where a 17 year old girl was found stabbed.

she would later die. about that time 3:30 a.m. on the 5100 block of north front street in the olney section a man was found shot and killed and another on 5200 block of masher, a man was found shot there and he was transported shot in his foot and also in his leg. and 1:00 o'clock this morning in kensington on the 2,000 block of east stella street a man in his 40's was shot six times and he he would die from his injuries as well n southwest philadelphia on july 48:43 p.m. on the 1700 block of south 53rd street a man was shot and killed. we should know, no weapons nor any arrests have been made in any of these cases at this time. back out live police investigating four homicide, three shootings and one stagging. youngest victim just 17 years old. we are live at police headquarters i'm's justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> justin, thank you.

a fire of the tunes in atlantic city caught on camera. thinks video from instagram that happened late last night near boardwalk at doctor martin luther king boulevard. there is in word on how much of that brush burn. the atlantic city fire department is investigating so far in cause and there are in reports of any injuries. incredible closure to a celebration honoring our nation's independent. this is a a look at fire works over the art museum last night capping off welcome america concert on the parkway. overnight crews working to clean up after the festival, a a lot left over, rough job after thousands showed up to celebrate in the city where america's independent was born. holmes philadelphia police have arrested leroy wilson of norristown in connection with that slaying. holmes was found dead inside of her rumfort road home on monday. wilson was working as a hand i man for holmes at the time of her murder. >> he came to her door that night, she knew him from previous times where he did work for her let him in, we believe right now he probably was stealing something from her, maybe she caught him in the act of doing that, and with that, he was set off beat her and stabbed her and ultimately killed her. >> detectives believe that wilson acted alone in this. they say he has a long criminal history of violent crimes. well, two camden county police officers are on leave after a deadly officer involve shooting this happened late friday night in the crammer hill neighborhood of east camden. officers responded to reports with a man with the gun atberger and harrison avenue. when they arrived officers say that man pointed a loaded gun at them and then they opened fire. an independent investigation

again, looking cloudy out there right now but we are hearing, about a little bit of sunshine in our future w that here's meteorologist justin drabick with eyewitness weather. >> good morning everyone hopefully you're having a great sun sunday. forecast looking better to day compared to saturday as we are bringing back that sunshine. here's our weather headlines a lot of sunshine. we will heat up, so it feels like summer once again . then later this upcoming week we will start to see some more chapses for some storms, arriving to our forecast but recent rainfall we had over delaware valley that is great news as we check out drought monitor. no signs of any ab normally dry conditions or maryland rate drought situations. looking better across the delaware valley. exemption is in southern new england where we fine dry conditions but all good here around philadelphia. lets talk about what is happening over the next several days. high pressure build back in control for today. that will bring back mostly sunny skies. high temperatures surge in the upper 80es, that is maybe a

couple degrees above average. monies the same deal. we will be nice and dry. high pressure over new england. temperatures right near average, mid to upper 80's but humidity increases each day. as we head toward tuesday that is when we will feel the difference. it will be hot humid temperatures close to 90 degrees. we will see chance for late day shower or storm as this next cold front moves through. it looks like better chance to see showers and storms on wednesday. let's time things out, we will look at future weather model again this afternoon, it looks great under mostly sunny conditions. get outside if you can. great pool, beach weather heading into tonight. still in problems. a if you fair weather cloud moving through. now back to reality on monday heading back to work, conditions, still dry 7:00 o'clock monday morning maybe some cloud build on in but still keeping things dry as we head into monday afternoon. maybe just extending that holiday weekend still looks okay as long as conditions stay dry throughout your afternoon monday. lets talk about winds

currently we're dealing with wind out of the south to out west, on the light site, but then we will switch out on monday afternoon. that brings back the high humidity levels. we will feel that humidity increase as we head into tuesday and wednesday. so lets talk about temperatures. for today again afternoon highs in spots approaching upper 80's. cool spots at the shore. enjoying a nice refreshing breeze there. temperatures in the upper 70's. monday a same deal, see those inland locations philadelphia north and west well in the mid 80's again, south jersey near the shore and delaware beaches should be around upper 70's to near 80 degrees. looking long term range and that cold pocket of air over us saturday is long gone. jet stream back to the north. this brings back the heat and humidity for middle of the weekend. that will be the trend through the upcoming week into next week even. typical summer like conditions heading in the delaware valley. we have lots of forecast, warm. high temperature 87 degrees. tonight mostly clear mild.

we will get to 7o shore forecast looks great lots of sunshine. seventy-eight for the area. ocean water in the low 70's. here's the extended forecast. best chance of showers and storms coming in tuesday and wednesday. it is hot. temperatures reaching lower 90's by middle of the week. meanwhile delaware environmental officials preparing for a spike in the mosquito population. they say recent heavy rains are beneficial to the mosquito egg breeding. higher then normal mosquito counts are being reported in mount laurel, and dover delaware. mosquito population is tracked because mosquitoes can transmit west nile virus. on the cbs-3 healthwatch this morning more americans are dying for cancer but it is because of the aiming pop. the actual risk has fallen according to a new report from federal health officials. health reporter stephanie stahl has more on a new treatment for the leading cancer killer. >> reporter: it is a laser light doing big things in the fight begins lung cancer. >> we're able to thread it out into the lung. >> reporter: doctor patrick

today, it is sunday july 5th, good morning, thanks for joining us. i'm nicole brewer. if you have outdoor plans like maybe a backyard barbecue or something else out doors you are in luck. we have good news for you. lets take a look outside live for you via sky cam three in atlantic city. you can see it looks nice down there at the shore at this hour. little will bit cloudy but hopefully those clouds will burn off as we make our way throughout the morning. yesterday's rain is long gone so more good news for you. you can see from storm scan three we're not tracking any rains, no storms to speak of just lots of sunshine for second half of your holiday weekend. it will feel like summer once again which for a lot of people will be a good feeling. lets look at our current temperatures around the region as i mentioned earlier, kind of hovering around mid to upper 60's. here in philadelphia we are looking at 68 degrees. in wildwood. sixty-six in lancaster. about 63 degrees. and mount pocono about 60.

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live at police headquarters to bring us up to dayton that, just continue? >> reporter: nicole, good morning, that is right, four homicide, three are shootings one stabbing and youngest victim here just 17 years old. lets take to you video of that scene, she was found severely stabbed near walgreens at broad and hunting park avenue at 3:30 a.m. and she would late are die from her injuries. about that time in the holiday section police were on the scene of the double shooting. first man found shot in his leg and foot on the 5200 block

of masher, he was taken to the hospital, his condition unknown, but he was shot police believe near front street and dunn canning on. police say in this case some 30 plus round may have been fired. second man was found in the 5100 block of north front street as he was shot and later died on the scene there. now hours earlier in kensington about 1:00 o'clock in the morning on the 2,000 block of east stella street a man in his 40's was found shot six times and he died. in southwest philadelphia, at 8:43 p.m. on the 1700 block of south 53rd street a man was also found shot and killed. police very busy late last night into the overnight this morning, and back out here live we are told at this time that there have been no arrests or any weapons found in any of these four homicides, so far. we are live at police headquarters i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news" nicole. >> thanks, justin we appreciate it. new this morning pope francis is on his way to his

family was getting ready to take a photo on emerald aisle. it is unclear what cause that had collapse, which the fire chief estimated to be 10 feet above the ground. wow, a small plane, crashed into a crowded beach in karlsbad, california. the faa says single engine piper pa 18 lost engine power saturday afternoon. now that plane was carrying a banner which it flipped over. a 12 year-old boy suffer minor injuries. that pilot was not hurt. and a very close call for a baby who drifted out to sea. ten month-old's inflatable crib kept her floating turkish coast. they were later rescued by the coastguard. the girl's parents forgot they left her there and they didn't necessity what happened until other beach goers told them. >> just frightening. >> 6:41. now to this weeks angie's list report for blocks in the
