finding little moisture starting to creep in here. so all courtesy of warmfront starting to lift in for us, warmer, more humid air more moisture rich air. you can see already a few speckles of green firing up here on the area radarment eventually all going to see just some scattered showers and/or even few thunderstorms firing up throughout the day. i would say through delaware, you have shot maybe to see heavier thunderstorm at some point today. really only in a marginal risk for severe weather across the first state. maybe gustier storm that would really be it, meantime, see the further north you go the drier it is, and the clearer it is for that matter. looking at the area dew point you can tell where the moisture is coming f the lower the dew point, the drier the air. starting to turn muggy across the southern portion of our area with dew points already in the 70s from wilmington, to dover, how does it translate to the thermometer? at 72 in philadelphia, starting to notice that humidity here and certainly down the shore as well, at

68 degrees in atlantic city. but cooler by comparison 58 up at mount pocono, it gives you idea. meantime as we go throughout the course of the morning afternoon, talking mid 80s generally across the board here, there will be isolated shower or thunderstorm, that fires up along with this warmfront starting to lift n justin? >> good morning, everyone, stepping outside, certainly feel the difference with the humidity probably need to run the ac in the car this morning, all good on the roads, at least dry right now we check out the 42 freeway look southbound, see police activity but we are traveling okay, right now speeds looking good, northbound, again, no problems headed into philadelphia. you can see the headlight approaching the city. take you to 95 right now both directions looking good around cottman, we start off the morning rush hour. do have new track work scheduled on the patco line, south side, service of the bridge will be running on single track service so expect some delays there as well. we are dealing with a closure west conshohocken,

let's take you now to video from just yesterday. crowds were going crazy. you see lloyd's been a hometown hero for many years in delran, yesterday crowds gathered watch her performance one that put her into superstar dom in soccer around the world. now, tv's across delran, philly, south jersey are tuned into team usa versus japan at steak of course the world cup but bringing rights to rematch of the 2011 finals in which the us did lose. but this year, was different for the mid fielder. carli lloyd scoring in the third, fifth and 16th minutes the match was sealed with a five to two win against japan. and also a record hat trick from lloyd. now, lloyd has been playing soccer since age five. she also played at delran high and later at rutgers. but she also played for the strikers, team we're told she still supports. >> carly played for the medford strikers she was still a kid. she has been training with our head coach for many years now.

and she's also just signed on as mental toughness coach for the medford strikers. >> and as you might imagine the medford strikers very happy for carli lloyd. can't wait to have her back home. i'm sure this morning lots of celebration will be going on, too, still getting over this record win coming up with the fourth of july, erika ukee. >> oh, just so great to see that first two minutes minutes, all those goals. >> president obama of course one of the fans watching, what a team for usa. great game carli lloyd. our country is so proud of all of you. come visit the white house with the world cup soon. >> nice invitation there. also new jersey governor presidential candidate chris christie got in on the fun he tweeted, quote a hat trick by new jersey's own carli lloyd what a may hazing leader she has been for team usa. go usa. go scarlet knights. hashtag jersey pride. >> now, in other news this

morning, the fire marshall called out to the scene of house fire in chester delaware county broke out 200 block of east ninth street about 20 after 2:00 under control about 15 minutes later. so far there is no report on any injuries. a man is fight to go stay alive after he was shot in the chest. the shooting happened late last night at after add and leaper streets around philadelphia's frankford neighborhood. the 23 year old victim rushed to the hospital in critical condition, there is no word on suspect or a motive in this shooting. well, the search continues in philadelphia for the killers in a murder wave that started on the fourth of july. in southwest philadelphia, a 26 year old man was shot and killed saturday night hours later, two men in two separate incidents were shot and killed in kensington, early sunday 17 year old girl was stabbed to death in north philly. police say the murders are unrelated. >> meanwhile memorial service was held yesterday for east mt. airy woman killed in her home. family friends describe 85

year old regina bruner homes as woman who stood up against injustice and unfairness. police arrested leroy wilson, neighborhood handyman, they say wilson was working for home homes when he allegedly kill her. >> well, tractor-trailer driver faces charges in a crash that shutdown a portion of i95 for several hours sunday. police say 57 year old leroy de val fell asleep behind the wheel and struck barrier at exit seven in ridley township. the crash involved two other vehicles and caused fuel spill, the northbound lanes were shutdown for five hours three people suffered minor injuries. state police believe this may have also been a dui. >> a bus goes up in flames, and shuts down a portion of the jersey turnpike in salem county for a brief time. twitter user captured this video as flames engulf the empty vehicle no injuries were reported, and no word on what cause that fire. firefighters rescue several people trapped in a burning home in ocean city, new jersey. we have some exclusive

eyewitness video here showing those flames shooting out of the home early sunday morning on the 900 block of saint charles place in ocean city. ocean city fire officials tell us that a fire on the first flour forced those inside the rental property to the second and third floors. krause then used ladders to help them escape. >> he dedicated half these guys to fire suppression, to knock the fire down, first floor, so it didn't extends. the other half of his crew he dedicated. >> fire officials say the five people suffered minor injuries. and a firefighter was treated with stitches after getting cut on broken glass. the cause is under investigation. a fire on the dunes in atlantic city caught on camera. this is instagram video of the brush fire, it broke out late saturday night near the boardwalk of doctor martin luther king boulevard. no word on just how much that far brush burned. the atlantic city fire department now investigating the cause. there are no reports of any injuries. >> and, another portuguese man

of war washes up on the jersey shore. the wildwood beach patrol officials this video on their instagram page yesterday afternoon. they say it washed up on the 26 street beach and was safely removed, no injuries. there have been more than dozen man o war sitings along the jersey shore coastline this summer. >> disappointed fans of fireworks, the shows were canceled not once but twice in seaside heights. a large wave crashed on to the beach soaking the fireworks that were set up on the sand, and that forced organizers to cancel saturday nights show, rescheduled for last night but cans he had again because of high winds this time. officials say they plan to make this wednesday's weekly fireworks show extra special. i'm sure they'll make good big time. >> and a lot of disappointed people, go out there twice. >> but wednesday, it will be great. >> it will be fantastic. right now 4:39. the economic future very much uncertain in greece this morning, we'll have the latest on the referendum coming up

good morning, family, take a look at this unbelievable video of deadly bus crash in central china police say 11 people died, when the bus went off a bridge into a river below on thursday. twenty-eight people were on board. most of the victims were korean tourists. police say the driver was speeding, and did not attempt to brake while rounding that corner. >> greece's finance ministry has resigned, minister, rather, has resign after voters rejected more austerity in return for bailout. 16% no vote has left the bankrupt country's future and its euro currency uncertain.

we have cold front warmfront moving through couple of showers, thunderstorms go along with that, building heat basically just what you would normally find this time of year. yes, about the time we would normally be hitting our highest typical daytime high. definitely going to be doing that. >> game on we're red. >> i above average warmth, generally speaking some pretty typical heat here, as well. for now we are tracking pretty large sits tell, so this will be a multi day event. not talking about necessarily any day being a wash out. what you will notice here, across the mid-atlantic region, showers starting to lift across the southern tear of pennsylvania, in through the delmarva peninsula off to the west very, very obvious solid more solid line, of heavier thunderstorms and heavier downpours. so, that's the leading edge of what will be pretty potent cold front across the midwest. here is warmfront for us, brinking in it not just more warm, but more moisture, more humidity, that's going to make it feel awfully steamy for the next couple of days.

for now we look ahead to future weather. noting it terrible. if you have outdoor plans keep them, but keep in mind there will be plenty of cloud cover. you will feel that mugginess in the air just not as pretty as yesterday was. and there will be a shower, thunderstorm that fires up at some point. i could even see stronger thunderstorm around portions of delaware today. so keep that in mind if maybe you are head the down for day at the beach perhaps, in rehoboth, something like. that will looking ahead to tomorrow, similar situation but it probably wouldn't be as widespread. you should see bit more sunshine in fact, we will get the temperature off to steamier start as a result. see that in the seven day for now, clouds, limited sunshine, shower primarily the second half of the day. perhaps thunderstorm, high about 85. later tonight we drop down to just 73, that's sign that that warmth has definitely arrived. and with the mugginess, and with the clouds, it definitely will feel just uncomfortable as you try to go to bed tonight. so if you have the air conditioner, take use of it. meanwhile looking forward in the eyewitness weather seven day forecast, we have two days

that's right justin, at the moment really just dealing with a loft clouds building in across most of the delaware valley. moisture creeping in. so, first come the clouds, notice the humidity starting to build and eventually, there will be some wet weather that companies it. but really not talking about anything like a wash out. nothing like. that will just scattered variety of showers perhaps thunderstorm, at the moment, outside palmyra cove, see off in the distance, center city skyline, little hazed over because of this building moisture sort of skewing the view for you. not terrible beach day. going to get at least some sunshine but keep in mind, there will likely be more clouds than anything, also shower around, perhaps even rumble every thunder that uv index regardless nice and high up at a ten and our temperature should hit 80 degrees at the area shore points water temperature starting to rebounds nicely. tuesday, wednesday steamy days, as we await the arrival and passage of cold front. even tomorrow shower, thunderstorm in the forecast, spotty in nature, then wednesday we see more of solid line of storms rumbling through, erika back to you.

later today. we want to check in with katie out on the skydeck, also our justin keeping an eye on the roads for us, got team coverage here. good morning guys. >> hey, good morning everyone, back to the daily grinds this morning. and sure dealing with quiet conditions right now on the roads, great news. a loft heat, humidity around today, katy? >> yes. i walked out on to the skydeck, like the moisture slaps you in the face. it feels very muggy outside. that's for sure. not oppressive, but noticeable. there is a difference. but, this is just a sign every things to come. you know, we are tracking warmer, more moisture rich air, starting to lift into the delaware valley. we showed you second ago on storm scan. we go ahead go back to it, storm scan, showing the signs of life off in the distance. see how thely speckles evergreen start to fade away. you may not necessarily see rain falling to the grounds so sometimes the radar can play tricks on you but eventually, there will be a few showers and/or thunderstorm, that fire up around the area. warmfront related right now
