handy later today. we want to check in with katie out on the skydeck, also our justin keeping an eye on the roads for us, got team coverage here. good morning guys. >> hey, good morning everyone, back to the daily grinds this morning. and sure dealing with quiet conditions right now on the roads, great news. a loft heat, humidity around today, katy? >> yes. i walked out on to the skydeck, like the moisture slaps you in the face. it feels very muggy outside. that's for sure. not oppressive, but noticeable. there is a difference. but, this is just a sign every things to come. you know, we are tracking warmer, more moisture rich air, starting to lift into the delaware valley. we showed you second ago on storm scan. we go ahead go back to it, storm scan, showing the signs of life off in the distance. see how thely speckles evergreen start to fade away. you may not necessarily see rain falling to the grounds so sometimes the radar can play tricks on you but eventually, there will be a few showers and/or thunderstorm, that fire up around the area. warmfront related right now look at the disparity in some

of the temperatures, low mid 70s from fill on south generally speaking. but up toward the mount pocono, it is cool by comparison, and franklin, very comfortable by comparison, as well. so, until we get this warm sort of over spreading the entire region, the further north you go, the more comfortable it is, walking out the door, meanwhile, in the low and mid 70s along some of the shore points, as well. taking you forward in the eyewitness weather forecast for the region as a whole we expect mid 70s, in the poconos, i would say late in the day your first shot to see shower, perhaps again rumble every thunder generally, we will see that in picking up into the early afternoon around the shore point, in philadelphia, and more clouds than anything. and we've got sort of hazy view here, as well, as i speak looking up toward say the moon. but, it is turning more humid. that's the story. heating up for mid week, as well. you will see couple of 90s showing up in our seven day which we'll have for you as the show progresses, and overall we call unstable pattern courtesy of warmfront then cold front then another

on suspect or motive in that shooting. philadelphia police meanwhile are also looking for suspect in a motor wave over the holiday weekend. southwest philadelphia, 26 year old man was shot and killed saturday night. just hours later, two men in two separate incidents were shot and killed in kensington. and early yesterday, a 17 year old girl was stabbed to death in north philadelphia. >> undermines with the holidays supposed to be about celebrating freedom of our nation, the birth of our nation. >> police say those murders are unrelated. >> meanwhile, a memorial service was held yesterday for east mt. airy woman killed in her home. family friends describe 85 year old reginald bruner homes as a woman who stood up to injustice and unfairness. police arrested leroy wilson, neighborhood handyman. they say wilson was working for homes when he allegedly killed her. back to the bargaining table for pennsylvania

governor tom wolf and republican leaders today. trying to end the state budget stalemate after wolf vetoed the entire $30 billion budget last week. the republican budget called for no new taxes. now, one of the governor's priorities, more money for schools. erika? >> ukee, world markets are lower this morning as investors anxiously watch how europe will respond to the debt crisis in greece. yesterday voters reject add bailout referendum. as brian web report, the decision could have huge repercussions on greece's financial stability. >> small groups of protesters clashed with police in athens overnight, after voters rejected the terms after debt bailout deal worth billions. >> we don't want -- >> this morning greece finance minister resigned as the two biggest economies, germany, france, planning meeting in par toys discuss the christ us. >> a loft europeans who said if the greeks voted no, that that was real a vote to leave the euro zone. and although they may not have

georgia rough day on the job for new jersey police officers, five hurt during wild chase. check it out. where it ends in the paramus bergin county. police say a man first carjacked a woman with two children inside. when officers started chasing him, he rammed several police cars. at one point, he crashed into an englewood cliff police officers car got into a fight and then stole that car. finally ended where the suspect crashed on a highway. >> convicted killer david sweat waking up in prison this morning for the first time in a month. moved yesterday from hospital to maximum security prison in central new york. he is still recovering from being shot by police, after breaking out from a different prison last month. the other inmate who escaped with sweat was killed by police. sweat will spend 23 hours a day in solitary confinement. >> heroic rescue down the jersey shore several people

pulled from burning home, happened yesterday 900 block saint charles place in ocean city. six people including firefighter are recovering from their injuries. steve patterson has more now on this rescue. >> oh, man what a shame. what a shame. wow. >> reporter: neighbor gale had been avoiding this moment. for the first time since she woke to up trucks, flames, and sirens early sunday morning she took a good look at the -- >> it ruined somebody's weekend that's for sure, thank goodness everybody's okay. >> see the flames this exclusive eyewitness video. officials say they were called out to this 3-story home on 900 block every saint charles place at about 1:45. we spoke to the group of vacating friends who took the video. >> i thought it was kind of scary. >> i have live here for 20 years, actually never seen anything like this before. >> firefighters arrived to the first flour fully engulfed in five people trapped on the third floor balcony. deputy chief steve says the on

scene command her to battle two front. >> he dedicated half his guys to fire suppression to knock the fire down on the first floor so it didn't extends action the other half of his crew he dedicate today rescue. >> tell us five people trapped on the third floor balcony one older woman with a medical condition, unable to be rescued, by ladder, so as the fire is raging, crews tell us that firefighters have to stay up there and wait with her as the flames are being extinguished. >> we do is call it protect in place. firefighters with oxygen and a host stayed with her on the deck. >> maneuver relies heavily on trust and efficiency and it worked. the flames were knocked out before they got past the middle floor, six people, including a firefighter took minor injuries, but no one seriously hurt. >> they did great job of getting there and putting everybody to work in the proper spots, and a happy ending. >> the cause is under investigation. in ocean city, steve patterson, cbs-3, "eyewitness news".

now, this wild fire in northern california is fully contained this morning. that fire burned more than 320, and between san francisco and sacramento. fire officials believe the fireworks may have started that fire saturday. several homes were threatened, how much, no structures were actually burned. >> well, steamy start to the work week. >> yes katie looking at the threat of some showers this afternoon, hey young laidy? >> indeed i am. yes, right now, all courtesy of warmfront lifting in bringing in the potential for showers and thunderstorms actually especially across portions every delaware, might see stronger thunderstorm fire up at some point here today. so watch out for that. and meantime, we start things off here just by taking you on outside, we go on out to storm scan3, a sense of what's happening out there you can see, on the area radar that we do have again some moisture building in here, from south to north basically. and that will eventually start to fire up across our area, so even though it looks as though

we've had shower rolling through delaware, not necessarily actually hitting the grounds just yet though you might start to see the mist picking up with time. that's your warmfront. this will be multi day event. warmfront still way back off to the wet heavier line every thunderstorms comes with that, when this get here it, doesn't at this point appear as though it will have as much gusto with it, but we have to keep an eye on the possibility. here is how it all shakes out mid 80s today pretty seasonable overall looking for showers and/or thunderstorms scattered in nature primarily through the p.m. time frame. then keep the heat. get you to the low 90's both tomorrow wednesday in advance of the front. still, spotty shower or thunderstorm tomorrow. and then more of solid line has a chance to drop on through hereby wednesday. mainly late in the day. so, you will also have some sunshine to go with that. come thursday, towelly separate area, separate disturbance, moving along the tail end of the front. we may again see shower or thunderstorm. meantime for now your eyewitness weather health report, not terrible. still got relatively low to
