and people are still dealing with storm cleanup. damaged trees and debris piling up along the road in one south jersey community. tonight the mayor is calling it a safety issue. all of this as more storms are on the horizon. storm scan3 shows a line of severe weather in western pennsylvania. it's expected to bring us rain and thunderstorms tomorrow. good evening i'm jessica dean. the heat and humidity we've been dealing with all week will lead to a stormy midweek. we go right to meteorologist kate bilo who has more on the typing of the rain and the areas most likely to see the storms. kate. >> we've been talking all week about how it was going to be stormy me and steamy all week long. the week has lived up to the hype. the storms were off to the northly you can see line of heavy thunderstorm they are weakening now but a lot of severe weather in western and central pennsylvania earlier tonight. this is all along the same front that will push through our area tomorrow. bringing us the risk for some locally heavy thunderstorms. you can see the heavy rain um weed here northwest of the william port still have

lightning reported with that cluster of storms as well and this is some of the heavy rain that will come through for us during the day tomorrow. mainly through the afternoon but the clouds will start to move in even in the morning and that could actually limit the threat for severe weather for us if we manage to stay cooler and a bit cloudier without the heating of the day and the sun the threat for severe weather will diminish diminish. we're not actually in a risk yet. the storm prediction center not put us in a slight or marginal risk for severe weather. we'll update if you that happens. in the meantime it is very warm and very steamy. 81 degrees right now at the airport. 77 in trenton still 76 degrees right now in allentown. and let's time this out as we move through tonight and into tomorrow. you can see midnight we're still clear but watch how quickly these clouds get in. by 9:00 a.m. it is cloudy with a couple of showers here and there. maybe a little more sundown the shore. and then the storms start to ramp up two or 3:00 o'clock they are scatter this is not an organized line of severe weather but you can see the heavy downpours imbedded with these storms and down the shore there could be a little bulls eye of heavier rain later tomorrow

evening as those storms continue to push through. now we clear out tomorrow night. only to repeat the entire process on thursday. as another line of heavy rain and thunderstorms comes through mainly late thursday evening. good news is, once we get into friday some drier air starts to push in and it look like we'll have nice weather into our weekend so again clouds building on wednesday watch for storms wednesday afternoon and again on thursday. i'll have the full seven day forecast in just a few minutes. jessica, back over to you. >> kate, thank you. it's been two weeks now since strong storms cause damage all across our region and one of the hardest hit areas was washington township, gloucester county. frustration there is mounting as the cleanup still continues. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live now with more. david? >> reporter: jessica the people here in washington township don't even want to think about the word storm they've been paying attention to the forecast crossing their fingers. i want to back out of the way and show you this pile of debris is in the street. this is not only one pile. we spotted these all over washington township.

the mayor here says put it in median or get it out of here. for the last two weeks with many days full of punishing heat, this man spent time making fire wood thanks to the storm. >> the storm came and we had the trees that came from my neighbor's yard landed right on the roof. >> reporter: trees crash on to homes and into the street. some people lost power for almost a week. >> we are working. we're not sitting back. >> reporter: washington township mayor barbara wallace lived in town for almost 50 years. >> this is far far greater than any storm we've ever seen. >> reporter: now that downed trees are leaving yards they're finding their way into the street a big problem according to the mayor. >> it becomes a safety issue that becomes a problem for emergency vehicles. report roar this is where tree debris should go. the median. but cluttered streets like this are all over washington township township. in many cases storm drains continue to clog. >> we have a 17-year-old whose driving around and it's hard for him to get through. we're still getting -- the car

gets scratched by all the debris in the street. >> reporter: mayor wallace says the township contracted with smaller companies but they are clearing the roads -- they aren't clearing the roads quick enough putting residents if a difficult position. >> where else are you going to put it? i'm in the same place as other people. i had to put it in the street, too. >> reporter: i made a few calls and found out the smaller private companies will be back out tomorrow to try to get that debris off the street. meanwhile if you happen to see that debris is yours make sure to get it off the street so people can drive sale. put it thon median until it can get out of here. reporting live in washington township david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> david, thanks so much. bill cosby could face criminal charges after his bombshell admission under oath after decades of dodging rape allegations cosby admitted he obtained drains witness intention of giving them to women he wanted to have sex with. the details are from unsealed testimony in a 2005 sexual assault lawsuit brought by andrea couldn't stan former temple university employee.

former montgomery county attorney bruce castor said he didn't feel charges at the time because the evidence was weak but castor who is running again for da says if cosby lied under oath he could charge him with perjury. >> if in fact i am the da in january, what i would do is i would get those depositions i'd have our people tear them apart word for word and try to disprove all the facts in there that were material. >> the case was settled in 2006 and since then more than two dozen women have accuse the philadelphia icon of sexual assault. subway has ended its relationship with spokesman injury read fogle after fbi agents raided his home today. fogle was seen leaving his zionsville end inn home this morning. police tell cbs news he is a suspect in a child porn investigation. the raid is believed to be connected to a former employee of fogle's foundation who was arrested in may on child porn

charge. agents were seen taking electronic out of that home. fogle has not been arrested or charged. he became subway's pitch man after he lost more than 200 pounds while eating their sandwiches and exercising. >> private school principal is arrested for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a student. 62-year-old george simmons was head of the concept school in thornbury township, chester county. that alleged inappropriate relationship reportedly started last spring and continueed until winter. the student was between 14 and 15 years old at the time. simmons had been fired. the concept school is cooperating with the investigation. tonight former eagles quarterback donovan mcnabb is facing new legal trouble following a dui arrest in arizona. the gilbert police department released his mug shot today and they say mcnabb was impaired by alcohol and rear ended another vehicle stopped at a red light. that alleged incident happened june 28th. no word if anyone was injured.

mcnabb was also arrested for dui back in 2013. tonight the atlantic county prosecutor's office is investigating a deadly police shooting in atlantic city. sources say a 29-year-old employee at cedar market was stabbed to death by a man in his mid 30 who's walk into the store on pennsylvania of a this morning. when police arrived at that scene, the suspect allegedly tried attacking officers with a knife and that's when an officer shot and kill the suspect. store owners tell "eyewitness news" the suspect was a regular. >> according to my employees he just came in and went crazy. there is no rationale to that, you know. sometimes -- i don't know. i don't know. >> it was just the second day on the job for that employee who was killed. a young boy is taken to the hospital after getting stuck in a well in buckingham township, bucks county. fire crews rescued the five-year-old just before 5:00 p.m. on swamp road.

that little boy's grandfather tells "eyewitness news" there had been a piece of wood covering the well of the home's backyard. extent of his injuries is not known at this time. five year anniversary of the deadly duck boat crash on the delaware, a lawsuit has been filed in another accident involving ride the ducks. in may a woman was hit and killed by a duck boat while crossing the street at 11 many and arch. she was killed with her husband just steps away. lawyers say several blind spots prevented in duck boat driver from seeing the woman as she was crossing. >> why didn't he see her? was he distracted and he didn't look or was it more likely she was in the blind spot caused by the design of the deadly duck boat? >> ride the ducks did release a statement. it reads in part "our equipment is regularly inspected to ensure a safe operation on land and water and our drivers are trained annually on safe driving procedures". that suit also named the city for not having a pedestrian traffic light at that

intersection where the accident occurred. the city had no comment. new tonight a bug battle. an extremely destructive pest is lurking in local trees. tonight officials are trying to stop it before it spreads and causes some significant damage. "eyewitness news" reporter matt rivers has details. >> reporter: this beetle the emerald ash boursier the size of a penny. it's small but it's a killer of ash trees. >> easily tens of millions of trees. you know, upwards to 250 million. >> reporter: the invasive species originally from asian done most of its damage so far in the midwest but it's working its way into new jersey. they bore their way into ash trees and lay egg. larva eat tree from the inside out leaving distinct groves behind. >> insects feeding it's cutting off all the transport of nutrients and water going up. >> reporter: the last emailed ash bore are sighting came two weeks ago here in west windsor mercer county.

but for every tree that's discovered likely others have already been infected. this beetle can fly up to 10 miles at one time meaning if he canning the rest of the state doesn't take much. to date impact here has been small but experts say the bug spread can't be stopped only managed so they set up traps like this one in chesterfield, burlington county to keep track of the inn second's movements. >> we're looking for that leading edge so we know and we can help, you know, municipalities plan. >> reporter: there's two reasons why you should care. first, forests in our area stay healthy when lots of trees species 35. destroy the ash trees and forest may not be far behind. the second is just about cost. many lawns in this state are dotted with ash trees. infected trees die and must be removed. and that cost falls on homeowners. if you happen to own an ash tree look for yellowing leaves and small v scraped shaped holes like these. if you see either one give the department of agriculture a

to impact us tomorrow. here's our front. our boundary which is producing showers and storms. we've had severe thunderstorm warnings popping up across western pennsylvania through much of this evening. this is all lifting to the north and these storms should fizzle out overnight tomorrow we're going to get our fair share of it. you can see heavy rain imbedded with that cluster of storms north and west of williamsport. what to expect as we move through the rest of the evening. we'll take you to towns we don't visit all that much. chester at 78 degrees. deerfield at 78. tuckerton pennsylvania, berks county 77. cape may right now sitting at 75 degrees. but the dew point and the heat are going to really continue through tomorrow. today's high was 91. that's about 4 degrees above average. this is the hottest part of the year by the way the record 103 we were nowhere near that. you remember that year. 2010 but you can see oreide dew point right now is 69. that puts us right toward that oppressive range when you get a dew point near 70 it does not feel nice out there. very very steamy. not a great night for sleeping. certainly not with the windows

open you want the air-conditioner and again just make sure you dress in those loose fitting light colored clothes drink plenty of water if you have to work outside tomorrow it will be steamy. here's a look at the storms that will come through tomorrow. the same line we're seeing in western pennsylvania tonight moves across our area tomorrow. 5:00 p.m. you can see bulls eye of merrier rain down the shore. that clears out pretty quickly but another little impulse is going to track through on thursday. thursday starts with clouds, little bit of sun but then more heavy rain thursday evening. this between about six and 8:00 p.m. so two commutes could be impacted by heavy storms here for the next two days. the good news comes on friday as we clear things out. after cloudy start it will turn sunny and friday looks gorgeous we've got lots of sunshine through the day and the humidity will be dropping as well. which is the best news this time of the year. overnight tonight it's partly cloudy still steamy at 76 degrees. and for tomorrow, again partly sunny clouds will come in quickly and watch for those heavy storms in the afternoon they're scatter the but heavy rain will be the biggest threat with those storm. 89 degrees the high for your
