at that scene. in details on that shooter but there are reports that the gold band was seen fleeing that area. police are investigating another homicide in the grays ferry neighborhood. investigators tell us a 35 year-old man was shot in the head sitting in the play ground. that happened in the 1200 block of south 30th street just before 2:00 a.m. and he did die at that scene. search continues for a man who sexually assaulted a woman on the philadelphia golf course. "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson has latest on the investigation. >> reporter: on a sunny saturday afternoon, it is hard to imagine a place, like this, could ever be a crime scene. >> it is disturbing to hear that news, obviously. >> reporter: just hours earlier it looked like this, philadelphia police on the scene at cons creek golf club after allegations of a heinous act. police say that here a 26 year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted early saturday morning. report says that the woman was

walking to work at 3:30 saturday morning south on cardington street when she passed a man walking in the opposite direction. police say man spins around, gets behind her grabs her arm and drags her on to the course behind a line of trees where the assault takes place. >> yeah, when you hear story like this, it makes you kind of think. >> reporter: havertown resident kevin calvert brought his two sons to the course saturday, and calls the crime terrible but says it is not symptomatic of the municipal ground or the area. >> this is something that had nothing to do with the golf course but it is a problem with the community and that hopefully, you know, hopefully the purpose traitor is caught. >> philadelphia police say there is no indication that this is, a pattern at this point. there is a basic description of the suspect. we have put all that information on our web site at cbs philly.com, if you know anything, about this, you're asked to call police

immediately. reporting from the philadelphia police department's special victims unit i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and a new jersey mother and her daughter drowned while kyacking on the delaware river this happened friday night north of bull's island state park in hunterdon county. police say 45 year-old dorris rake and her 19 year-old daughter catherine haney weren't wearing life jackets when their kyacks offer turn. they were both from raritan township. meanwhile four people are recovering after a boat ran a ground near long island beach island. it happened around 2:00 yesterday afternoon around the south end of the island. the 53-foot boat had 13 people on board and of the four injured, a woman was flown to the hospital by hell cooperator with a head injury. it is not clear what cause that had accident at this time. a beach in rhode island is set to reopen after a mysterious explosion, knocks a sun baiter to the ground. as reporter chantt lamb tells us officials found no evidence of a explosive device.

>> reporter: bomb squad and federal agents sift through sand at salty state beach. >> walking toward water we hear a ba boom like a bomb. >> i can tell from you personally witnessing the site there appears to be some ground disturbance there. there are fractures in the wet sand, gaps that occur something like would you see when lightening hits a beach. there is definitely something that happened there. >> reporter: bomb squad and fire marshall's office lead the investigation. the department of environmental management officials say around 11:15 911 calls poured into police from beach goers stating that they saw and heard an explosion. then "eyewitness news" pictures captured what appears to be victim being carried away to south county hospital. dem representatives say the woman was conscious and leather after being thrown three to 5 feet from her beach chair. she landed face down on the jetty rocks. >> the person was sitting in the chair up a against break water or at the tied line. the sand, directly in front

on the cbs-3 healthwatch hair loss is a problem for millions of people and new is there a new transplant that uses cutting edge technology. health reporter stephanie stahl as exclusive first look at how it looks. >> reporter: it is new high tech way to do hair transplants with a robot this demonstration, on a manikin head. it is called artist a 3-d microscopic camera feed images to a compute their analyzes a maps hairs on the back of the head and removed them with delicate precision. then they are individually transplanted bay doctor thomas griffin at his philadelphia center. >> the robot gives us the advantage of very accurately extracting those follicles

naacp convention is underway right here in philadelphia and in a monumental decision civil rights group lift a 15 year boycott in south carolina that measure comes one day after the confederate flag is removed from state house ground. cherry greg from our sister station kyw news radio 1060 picks up the story outside the convention center, good morning are the report report good morning. nnaacp made history on the very first day of its 106th convention here in philadelphia, for years group had boycotted south carolina because it insisted that the confederate battle flags fly in public spaces but on saturday the group applauded the a state for its decision to permanently remove the flag from state grounds, including outside of it state capitol. for 15 years the naacp boycotted the state of the south carolina for its insistence than flying confederate battle flag on the
