anyhow can you see that, hold on. >> that is the plan, folks. >> do you see. that. >> maybe she inspired me. anyhow good morning traveling out and about roads are very quiet. very serene outside. we are looking at 95. ninety-five traveling in either direction around cottman avenue which we are looking at here southbound a little bit of the road narrowing because of the construction that has been ongoing for quite sometime. we will hit this construction zone in i-95 and girard avenue, but since there is only a handful of vehicles, we are not dealing with any delays or problems. same thing for schuylkill expressway traveling on 76, you are great in and out of the center city but at spring garden you will notice you have the the ramp compromised because of construction but no delays for mass transit and things look great the at the airport. quick thinking home owner foils an attempted break in. >> now philadelphia police are sharing surveillance video hoping it will lead them to

"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live to bring us up to date, good morning. >> reporter: nicole, erika good morning. victim here does two smart things he keeps those strangers outside and they keep surveillance camera working, giving police and public a very clear look at these would be home invaders. the let's show thaw video. time is tuesday 10:30 p.m. on the 500 block of burnham road. video shows a man knocking on the door and he even looks at the camera directly at one point. victim opens that door. a second man approaches with the shotgun. at this point it is two on one. victim slams the door and then two more arm men closed in. now still all four tries to get inside that home but do not, instead they fail and flee the scene and this crime comes as a shock to neighbors on this west mt. airy block who called their street very quiet. many saw the the aftermath scary. >> it was scary because i was sleeping down in my living

room last night because ac down there just to keep cool and i saw the cop cars coming out front and i had no idea what was going on. >> reporter: video again, very clear. police believe it is very likely someone out there recognized one or all of these men but if you do recognize them police ask that you don't approach but give them a call at 911. we are live from northwest detectives i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". late night shooting in philadelphia's grays ferry section leaves a man in extremely critical condition. that shooting happened at 26th and dickinson streets. police found a shotgun at the scene and spent shell casings from a hand gun indicating that there were two shooters. the authorities say they are working to gather video from area surveillance cameras. also, fire forced the evacuation of the popular philadelphia restaurant. "eyewitness news" here on the 600 block of north broad street this is outside the restaurant around 9:00 last night.

fire broke out in the top floor apartment above the restaurant. three people had to be rescued from the department but no one was injury. former president george hw bush is in stable condition after a breaking of a bone in the neck during a fall. mr. bush fell in his home in kenney bunk port, maine. spokesmen says it is not life threatening. the forty-first president has a form of parkinson's disease to use a motorized scooter or wheelchair for me built. euro zone is working on a bail out plan for grease after the parliament approved an austerity bill that creditors demanded. it includes tax hikes and spending cuts out side parliament thousands protested the measures and some demonstrations turn violent. some people hurled gasoline bombs at police who responded with tear gas. president obama is making his case for congress to support the international nuclear deal with iran. the the president took questions from reporters during a white house news conference. republicans say that the deal does too much to help iran by

authorities confirm a third body has been found after flood waters swept away homes on monday. that body was found underneath mobile homeless than a mile and a half where two other bodies were found. five people remain missing. rescue teams had been using cadaver dogs as they search through knee deep mud in miles of wreckage. >> so awful. >> here at home we are drying out this morning after torrential downpours left some streets in our region just complete thely under water on wednesday. >> police in brigantine atlantic county patrolled water logged streets looking for problems caused by the flooding. some kid did have some fun riding their bike through the flood waters. the despite flooding public works crews they are still out and about, they are picking up garbage, is there

kid having fun with the bikes but your driver still got picked up, still out doing their job but we are so happy katie that the rain seems to be out of here. >> there is a flood warning still posted for north central cumberland county. but it is specific to the maurice river and that area. that has gonna above the flood stage. if you travel around that area maurice river cumberland county, that is something else to watch out for. this is just a gem of the day we are really looking ahead to very, very pleasant conditions throughout the day here, let's start off with a look at that flood warning we were talking about, you have to zero in on this. it is this one tiny sliver of southwestern, new jersey. so north central cumberland county affect by this. specific to the river banks of the maurice river until 8:15 a.m. when we expect those flood waters will be receding.

town they are outrage over rising water bills. a new rate increase has water and sewer customers in the the monroe township seeing record high water bills. angry residents packed the utility authority meeting yesterday, some brought their water bills with them. while the township new july rate was accidentally added in the may bill, many customers say that something is still not right. >> so there is something funny going on here and i want that noted i feel there is something funny going on here. >> they said i used 35,000 gallons of water in may and i don't understand how i would use 35,000 gallons of water. i don't have a pool. >> some resident believe power outages of a few weeks ago affect meter reading software causing to it put out higher usage members. board members will investigate. we will be right back.

four credit 53. lets get a check on traffic with torey. >> good morning,er contact good morning everyone. it is still very quiet outside. is there not too much to talk about. we have a disable vehicle traveling on 76 eastbound not too far from south street. you will note that is dv is being pick up by a tow truck. it should be out of here very soon. the it is semi compromising the left-hand lane here. with only a handfull of vehicles out there it is not too much of a problem. we will keep an eye on. that let's switch gears and take you elsewhere. if you are traveling right new on the the vine street expressway we are not seeing that construction project that we usually have, so traffic is free flowing between 76 and i-95. traveling on i-95, you do want to be mindful of the construction zones at cottman and girard. speed sensors are nice and high in pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware and no delays for mass transit. how are we looking weather-wise. >> not bad at all things are looking so much more, for one
