a chattanuga tennessee honors four fallen marines investigators are hoping to find out why a man with the typical suburban life, would go on a shooting rampage that killed them. good afternoon everyone i'm pat ciarrocchi. i'm erika von tiehl. at this hour investigators are sifting through the 24 year-old gunman's computer and other belongings. >> as hanna daniels report they are trying to learn whether the suspect who was killed by police, was inspired by an islamic military group.

>> reporter: red, white and blue memorial is growing outside a chattanuga tennessee recruitment center, one of two crime scenes from thursday's shootings at two military sites, four had marines were killed, three others were hurt. authorities say that the the man responsible for the attack was 24 year-old mohammad youssef abdulazeez, after firing about 25 shots in the recruitment center. they say he drove to a navy marine training center where he fired the fatal shots. abdulazeez died in the shoot-out with police. >> we are tracking every possible place that he could reside or could have have resided. visited. where he has shopped where he went to school. >> reporter: abdulazeez was a naturalized u.s. citizen born in kuwait. federal authorities say he had no obvious ties to terrorism. investigators are now going through abdulazeez personal computer and sitting social media sites for clues to a motive. >> it hits so close to home. >> reporter: shanon burns

court this morning after his arraignment. darby boro police arrested him last night. he is accused of trying to get a ten year-old girl into his van. the child got away and told her mother who then called police. authorities are saying that they have arrested the man in the same neighborhood last week when's ledgely tried to lure a 13 year-old girl. >> ask my supervisors and my men last night why was he on the street. we cannot tell you yes was on the street, because the the judge that let him out. >> reporter: for the new charges the district judge has set a bail at $250,000. and, check out these surveillance pictures here. fbi and philadelphia police are searching for a man who robbed a td bank on third and market streets this morning. the authorities say that the man handed a teller a threatening note and then got away on foot with that cash. same suspect is wanted for another robbery in a td bank on south 11th street last night. police say the suspect is

considered armed and very dangerous. two at the plant i can county men face charges a after a brawl in the softball tournament in maryland is caught on camera. "eyewitness news" reporter j a an carabao shows us the cell phone video that got them into trouble. >> unaudible. >> reporter: two south jersey men are about to find themselves locked in a knock down, drag out fist fight, this was the scene that unfolded wednesday night just outside the opening ceremony for youth softball tournament in salisbury maryland. it was captured by an eyewitness and posted to social media. this video has gone viral garnering close to 150,000 views. >> i just saw two caucasian males going at it so i went over and recorded it. i didn't think it would go far. >> reporter: brawl ended in blood, one man badly beaten and both in cuffs. the sheriff's office has identified the men as michael barbella of ventnor and

michael john duffy of new jersey. barbella sent messages challenging duffy to a fight. argument they say stemmed from a previous dispute. and investigators say barbella traveled to maryland to confront duffy and other parent from the softball team when this fight broke out. karen washington was there to capture it but he had no intention of stepping in. >> it is none of my business, it is not my beef. i just went to see the fight. >> reporter: police say that can be a problem eyewitnesses they say should always call for help first. >> something need to be taken in consideration is somebody getting hurt? could i call for help? could i get authorities here quickly? could i get medical personnel here quickly. these kind of things also need to be taken into consideration. >> reporter: the brutal fight we actually stopped this video before you you could see the blood. both of these men parents were arrested and face charges of assault and disorderly conduct. investigators have not said exactly why this fight started

but it is clearly hurt in the video that they were arguing about why one of their daughter isn't still on the team. report aring from the sat center jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". woman is recovering after being struck by a stray bullet in north philadelphia the victim was driving at 17th and susquehanna last night when she was hit in the back. to two other women were not hurt. investigators are saying they believe the woman were caught in the cross fire after a drug-related altercation. police are searching for the shooter. detectives were also investigating the suspicious death of the recent drexel university graduate. authorities are saying that 27 year-old jasmine wright was found dead inside of her apartment on south 50th street in west philadelphia last night, autopsy results are pending, but police are saying that it appears that she was beaten and possibly strangled. if you happen to know anything about this case, police are asking you to call them. well, she survived a plane crash, coming up, we will hear

doctors treating former president george hw bush, say that he will not need surgery for a broken bone in his neck. he is still in the hospital after a fall on wednesday in his summer home in maine.

doctors plan to let the injury heel on its own but mr. bush, now 91, will need to wear a neck brace for up to four months. a teenager who survived a plane crash that killed her grandparent is now telling us her story. >> the 16 year-old autumn beach was flying with her step grandparents when they hit bad weather on saturday. the plane crashed in the mountain side of washington state and then burst into flames. beach talk about the moments right before the crash. >> we saw nothing we could not see a thing and grand pop, he was he was kind of panicking, we could not get the the gps to work, and then he said that he was just going to try to fly up. he started to go up, and we just, i just, we didn't see anything until we saw trees. >> beach said her grandparent were alive and screaming right after the crash. she tried desperately to help to save them but there was just too much fire. over two days she walked down

enjoy it while you've got it because it will change. let's show you why. storm scan three at the moment quiet, locally but we are seeing a new disturbance here off to the west. i don't think you have to worry about that at all today but we did see heavier then are storms rumble through portions of the midwest in the last 24 hours especially illinois and still heavier then are storms across north and central ohio. this should rotate to the north but drag a warm front first through our area. what that whim do is bring in more potential for wet weather. we still have a nice break here. last couple of weeks we had thousands of you that lost power from strong storms. 72 miles an hour at philly international. numerous flash flooding issues and three confirmed tornado. been a busy couple weeks. so this has been a nice breath of fresh air. lets go out to the tropics. not too much going on. we have an era use let's call it a tropical wave, not even an organized area have low pressure just yet. this is moving to the west,

but, even though, some of the modeling wants to bring this off to the north a little bit i still think it will be running into too many obstacles, dry air wind sheer, and it should not have a chance to develop. it was worth a mention since we have one spot we are keeping an eye out in the open waters of the atlantic. margate is a great place. not only a perfect beach place but celebrating lucy the elephant's birthday today which you have to love, right. this will be a great excuse to head down to the shore. obviously friday people will be heading eastbound here and if you are one of them the shore forecast this weekend not bad at all. we are watching for shower, thunderstorm on saturday especially late in the day but don't cancel your outdoor plans. sunday looks good right now. phillies are back in town here tonight after that all-star break. 80 degrees for first pitch with some sunshine. eventually that sun will go down and we will drop off a couple of degrees. looking forward in the eyewitness weather seven day check it out here we go, start it off at 90 tomorrow. we will keep the scene into tuesday, and that will officially make it the latest

i felt i was turning 40. i spent 17 years doing news and you ever look the at late night landscape and there was not one female voice. no one to talk about our issues that we like. i wanted to make this show hit home, things like dating, things like sex things like starting your own business, starting your own company. i felt there was a time and place for woman's voice that was not being heard. we do it all a don't we, ladies. >> we do. >> speaking of doing it all were you in local tv news for 17 years in, new opening land, number one morning show and now a great new transition. how has it been. >> it has been wonderful. the journey is message i want my viewers to listen to, to get inspired from, so many women, you know, have this chapter or fairy tail maybe it doesn't go the way we want. i want women to reboot, reclaim, reassess their life and take what they want and take what they should have and what they are owed. so i really did take a big gamble and say i will not do the news anymore but i still
