from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia. this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news" several injured after gunman opens fire inside crowded louisianna movie theater watch we know about the man responsible for the attack. >> plus, it has been beautiful few days k we keep the trends going? katie has a check on your weekend forecast. >> we get you started with a check on weather and traffic. meisha standing by this morning. >> good morning, i can't wait until we hear the weather. we had a beautiful day yesterday and nice traffic yesterday. >> i can hook you up here on a friday. things looking fantastic to start things off. we continue to see more or spec more sunshine, the sun

not up just yet. you have another hour and a half and change or so, but it will ends up being another beautiful day. carbon copy. does it sounds like a broken record? are you bothered by that though? so nice outside. storm scan3 we continue to track frontal boundery sagging off to the south. that will will stay off to the south here through the course of the day today as well as heading into the upcoming weekend. meanwhile, here at home, again, we've just got nice clear sky out there, dew points that remain nice and low. taking a look at those area dew points, remember, i have said this a lot this week, because it has applied to the forecast, lower the dew point drier the air. still very dry air mass, currently in the 50's across most of the board here, even dover checking in at 60. that's been very hot spot for very, very steamy weather as of late. but looking forward in this forecast, good stuff. we expect to hit the mid 80s once again today very typical daytime highs for the standards, and with full sunshine, low humidity. that again the clincher, the fact it is solo on the humidity scale makes it feel

just phenominal. still gorgeous out there today. we are looking ahead, though, to eventually change in the pattern. that's going to come courtesy of approaching frontal boundary by sunday. so as that moves through we start to see things sort of shift in the atmosphere. humidity returns little more heat returning as well. so hot hazy looking ahead to next week. meantime, mere, a just another beautiful day. and i love that heat. i can even take the humidity, katie. no complaints on this side, especially because it is friday. >> that's the minnesota attitude right there. >> good morning everyone happy friday to you. tgif. looking good on the roadways, although we do have couple of things to tell but right now on the roosevelt boulevard northbound at broad street, we do have accident here, right lane blocked, you can see the cameras kind of moving around, looking for this accident, there we see it, all the lights going on. what happens here when we have the flashing lights this early in the morning, a lot of drivers passing by, this will tap their brakes, take a peak what's going on, so hopefully it gets cleared up soon, so it

won't cause too many delays in our morning commute. right now still earliment not many people out there. schuylkill expressway eastbound gulph mills construction, you can see the light pulled off to the right shoulder there, also we were seeing it on the left side. now that looks good. free flowing traffic on the roosevelt boulevard on that sidement be aware of. that will ben franklin bridge looking good for those of you traveling from new jersey into center city. you can see just few headlights out there. actually right now it is looking really good. erika, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. back to the developing story out of louie answer a, gunman opens fire inside a crowded movie theatre in lafayette killing at least two people and injuries nine others. >> the shooting rampage stopped when that gunman turned the gun on himself. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch live in our sat center tracking the developments. justin? >> this morning, the injured are recovering and three lafayette area hospitals. their injuries range from life threatening to critical. police identified the shooter though not yet saying who he is. let's take to you video on

thursday night lafayette police say loan shooter opened fire in the auditorium, police believe as many as 100 people may have been inside. in the first few minutes of the comedy train wreck, witnesses say the shooter said to be white man in his 50's, stood up and fired his weapon. fire alarm was pulled. 911 was called. theater goers began to run from the scene some still bleeding from their wounds. officials say police were already nearby in the parking lot and responded within one minute of that emergency call. as authorities got close to the shooter police say he turned the gun on himself and took his own life. now the work begins to figure out why the shooter opened fire. police are asking for the public's cooperation. >> i know there is a lot of speculation right now on social media. we ask please don't put out any information that could put our officers in harms way. there is a lot of investigation to be done regarding the suspect's

shot several times on the 1400 block of lenox avenue in north philadelphia. police say it happened shortly before midnight when another man with a license to carry shot that man in both arms and in his chest. there is no word right now on what led to the gunfire that injured man was taken to the hospital and at last check was still in surgery. the shoot is her cooperating with police. more than dozen people are waking up homeless after this fire in lindenwold, new jersey, fire broke out just before 7:00 last night, 700 block of colonial square drive. now the flames quickly spread, damaging four homes there. one firefighter suffered minor injuries the cause of the fire is under investigation. a father and son are out on bail charged with stealing taxpayer money from a township in south jersey. authorities say 51 year old ronald nighten and 23 year old benjamin nighten told from the springfield township ems squad. they were started g

tinicum boulevard. before leaving the room the man took $500, and at least one guest at nearby hotel is taking precautions. >> make sure to keep all of my locks, my locks locked. yes, it is a little unnerving absolutely. >> detectives are looking at two other robberies at the microtel to see if there is any connection to this week's attack. >> autopsy find the death after woman at texas jail was likely suicide. the medical examiner found no injuries that would suggest 28 year old sandra bland was killed by somebody else. bland was arrested at a traffic stop three days before she was found dead in her call or county jail cell. autopsy found 30 small cuts on her wrist, officials say were likely self inflicted. they dispute the notion she took her own life. 4:38. still ahead on "eyewitness news", donald trump continues his push against immigration with a trip to the u.s.-mexico

>> mural bearing cosby's image in north philadelphia is no more. the philadelphia mural arts program, decommissioned the artwork. it is now covered in white paint. that mural was located under a railroad bridge at broad and glenwood. officials had reportedly made plans to remove it months ago because of its condition but recent headlines help speed up that process. meanwhile the comedian faces a legal setback. cosby could soon face new questions under oath about sex assaulting assault allegations against him. cosby tried to block a civil lawsuit brought by judith, but the california supreme court ruled it can proceed on the

trial level. she claims the comedian sexually assaulted her in 1974 at the playboy mansion when she was only 15 years old. her lawyer says she plans to schedule a deposition for cosby before the end of next month. >> presidential candidate donald trump paid visit to the mexican border where the presidential hopeful predicted hispanics would love him. the republican, who is leading in the polls met with officials in lore aid owe called illegal immigration a danger to the country, and says elwyn strong support from hispanic voters. trump said he put aside his personal safety to see the border up close. >> people are saying oh, it is sodain results, what you are doing, mr. trump, so dangerous what you are doing. i have to do it. i have to do it. >> trump has come un fire for recent remarks about undocumented immigrants from mexico, saying some are criminals. katie there is nice streak just keeps ongoing. >> loving every minute. we went to the pool yesterday. >> perfect right? >> you had to. >> jack had his swim is on.

you can see the difference. i mean, it is so obvious where that front has set up shop and push off to the south. your back into the 70s charleston birmingham, atlanta, and we were on par with these cities in recent days. not any more. not at least at this point. so the gorgeous weather continues, high pressure still in place and it will start to meander off to the east with time here. we look forward to the upcoming saturday forecast, and the sun will still be shining for us. then comes a front not the strongest front we've ever seen actually, we don't ends up with a drop on the thermometer out of t you will notice higher humidity, shower or thunderstorm rolling through sunday possibly even monday. so meantime, there is more of the same to enjoy. 86 degrees the expected hi, very very modest breeze, but still out of the northwest keep the dew point low, remains comfortable as a result tonight under clear sky. looking forward to the eyewitness weather seven day forecast, upper 80s come saturday, by sunday, noticing the humidity start to climb little bit here.

we've had two accident this morning, both of which have cleared fairly quickly. this is good. we have an accident in delaware, 59 southbound, the right lane block that's now been cleared. that's not going to cause any problems for you. also northbound boulevard approaching broad street, we did have an accident on the ramp to 17th street. the right lane there was also blocked. that's since been cleared. so take a look outside. it almost looks like ghosttown out there. it is very quiet very good for a start after friday morning. we do have some construction, 95 southbound between scutters falls bridge and new hope. one lane is open. but as i'm watching there is i can see that first of all there is not heavy traffic pattern, number two everyone's driving by with ease, so the construction project just make note of it. also, mass transit septa's west trenton line, shuttle bussing saturday, sunday, due to construction, so just plan accordingly. no delays at the airport. other than that, mass transit looking good. katie, over to you. >> we can report some quiet conditions as well in the weather department here, too meisha starting things off

mere a katie has good -- katie and meisha. katie has good news for us. >> specking gorgeous conditions unfold out there yet again today. things looking good on the rolled at the moment. we can expect to see more sunshine throughout the course of the day. so high pressure once again hooking us up. low humidity, full sunshine, more warmth for you. comfortably so. as we start things offer by taking you outside, we start it off here with a look at storm scan3 all clear for us here at the moment. it will stay that wayment throughout the course of the afternoon, once again. looking at the area temperatures, around the region as whole actually kind of cool up in the mountains right now. 49 degrees the current temperature at mount pocono, 58 in milville and mid 60s being reported basically everywhere else. warmest spot of the pack obviously goes to philadelphia international. even out toward places like quakertown, mt. holly actually back in the 50's this morning. so dairy say actually little cool. you might want to think about having just thin extra layer ligh
