get right to katie and mere a katie has good -- katie and meisha. katie has good news for us. >> specking gorgeous conditions unfold out there yet again today. things looking good on the rolled at the moment. we can expect to see more sunshine throughout the course of the day. so high pressure once again hooking us up. low humidity, full sunshine, more warmth for you. comfortably so. as we start things offer by taking you outside, we start it off here with a look at storm scan3 all clear for us here at the moment. it will stay that wayment throughout the course of the afternoon, once again. looking at the area temperatures, around the region as whole actually kind of cool up in the mountains right now. 49 degrees the current temperature at mount pocono, 58 in milville and mid 60s being reported basically everywhere else. warmest spot of the pack obviously goes to philadelphia international. even out toward places like quakertown, mt. holly actually back in the 50's this morning. so dairy say actually little cool. you might want to think about having just thin extra layer light jacket or wind breaker

southbound making your way to center city, you can see, even though we do have red cone area here, you're used to that by now everyone moving along plenty of tail light, head lights, starting to get out of the roadway. give yourself couple of extra minutes, this friday drive might be busy but right now looking good there. forty-two in new jersey, 42 freeway northbound at creek road approaching 295. you can see nice steady flow of air as well. do have vehicle pulled up to the right shoulder, not causing any slow downs, in fact, we saw that few days ago, it was there saying high to everyone driving by. plenty of headlights out there. no slow downs to report on 42 northbound on the freeway. the schuylkill expressway east and westbound at gulph mills. left lane was block that has since been cleared. this is just picture of the roadway. you can see no flashing lights. everyone traveling nice on the schuylkill expressway. basically anywhere i like on the schuylkill looking good this morning. then new jersey southampton township route 38 at 206 all lanes blocked in both directions because of some downed wires erika over to you. >> thank you.

back to developing story another deadly movie theater shooting developing right now in lafayette louisianna. >> police say the gunman opened fire in a crowded theater killing two people and injuring nine other. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch live for us in the satellite center with the latest developments. justin, good morning. >> good morning, laffayette police called in bomb squad to search the theater and the shooter's car after finding hits on back pack and other items linked to the shooter overnight. this as the investigation ramps up. victims recover from that trauma at the theater. this movie theater parking lot in lafayette louisianna now the scene of mass shooting investigation. police say an armed man stood up and opened fire during the showing of the amy schumer comedy train wreck thursday evening. >> the shooter's white male in his 50's,. >> officers nearby in the parking lot and arrived within a minute of the 911 call. >> four officers entered the theater to engage the shooter.

they heard shots being fired upon their arrival. >> authorities say the shooter took his own life before police got to him. witnesses called the scene utter chaos. >> woman actually shot in the leg. was able to get out. i guess she went to the front of the theater. she was able to get to safety. >> first respond err was personally impacted. >> and my daughter was in the same theater in the same row as the shooter. and so she came running home. >> authorities found the shooter's car in the parking lot, and carried out a sweep of the vehicle and the theater as a precaution. now, upon word of the tragedy amy schumer the starve train wreck tweeted the following: my heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in louisianna. police are not revealing the name of the shooter but we are awaiting further police briefing. governor bobby has spent the night comforting families, and looks forward to stories of heroism including one of two teachers he credits with saving many livesment we'll bring that you later this morning, for now liver in the sat center.

justin finch cbs-3, "eyewitness news", nicole, erika? >> justin, thank you. now, new this morning police are investigating the circumstances that led to shooting in north philadelphia. police say around midnight, a man with a license to carry shot another man several times on the 1400 block of lenox avenue. that man was injured in both arms and chest and was last list in the surgery at temple university hospital. the shooter is cooperating with police. >> nicole? >> erika, fire investigators are trying to pinpoint the cause of a fire that tore through several homes in camden county leaving more than dozen people homeless. the flames broke out last night in the 700 block of colonial square drive in lindenwald. firefighters say when they arrived, flames were already shooting from that roof. they battled that fire for more than an hour before they brought it under control. one resident had to leave his home without his medication. >> they told me better get out of the house, there is fire. i looked out, i could see flames billowing out of the

third floor front bedroom. >> despite all the damage, one firefighter suffered minor injuries. >> happening now, president obama is headed for a four day visit to africa. his first stop is kenya for summit with business and government leaders. twenty members of congress, including delaware senator chris coons, are traveling with him. human right groups are worried that kenya and ethiopia using national security to stiffle independent media during this visit. >> philadelphia police are looking for a suspect in a attack on a woman at a hotel. a man sexually assaulted that woman, at the microtel. he also tide her arms using telephone cord, then stole $500. they are also investigating to see if the gunman is connect today two other robberies at that hotel this month. >> well, take a look at this police sketch. twelve year old girl says that man inch appropriately touched her on the beach in atlantic city earlier this month. she told police it happened while swimming near annapolis avenue. now, police tell us the

suspect was last seen walking along the beach toward ventnor. >> some people are claiming excessive force used in a local arrest captured on camera. we have that video for you here. take a look t shows chester city and township police officers kicking punching, beating a man while he was on the ground. that man is 49 year old walter mother. police, who were in the area, responding to robbery became suspicious after pulling meto over. the incident sunday now under investigation, by the delaware county district attorney. he says that what you don't see on the video including a weapon tells a different story. >> mr. moat turns punches first officer in the fares then ultimately punches the second officer in the face. this is not clearly seen on video. >> his whole face was covered in blood. they didn't need to do all of that just to get him down. >> moat has a criminal record. after being treated at hospital he is now locked up facing serious charges

including assault. da whalen says the investigation is not over, and he's trying see if there is any other cell phone video out there. >> more toxicology results are expected today in the investigation into the jail cell death of sandra bland. that includes more substantial results about marijuana found in her system. according to preliminary autopsy result, bland had no injuries consistent with violent homicide. texas prosecutors say the marks around her neck are consistent though, with a suicide. >> there were no bite marks or other injuries on her face, on her lips, on her tongue, which would be consistent with a violent struggle. >> blands was arrested during a traffic stop july 10th. the officer said she changed lanes without using a turn signal. bland was jailed on $5,000 bond. three days later police say her body was found hanging in her cell. >> 5:08. still ahead, a heartless crime at a local store. we'll show you the man caught on surveillance camera

dispute his to shut down futures concert down the road at the roxy. some good news for people in california wine country. the almost 7,000-acre fire is now burning away from home. that prompted fire officials to lift the mandatory evacuations in selected areas yesterday. fire began earlier this week after car crash windy conditions helping to fuel that fire. >> now checking our forecast, again, this is what we want to hear, kate. >> i absolutely gorgeous conditions yet again unfolding for us here today. starting things off on comfortable note, dew point still nice and low going to end up here with temperatures into the mid 80s still lots every sunday shine to go along with it, too. all looking good. we start things off on outside, we show you the view here first and for most, if we can. we take you out to the live neighborhood network, we start things off here. we are expect to go see full sunshine out there. so another real nice day unfolding for our area. but, looking first at the live neighborhood network outside palmyra cove nature park, center city skyline off in the

distance here, lights just gleeming and reflecting off of the river just beautiful beginning to the morning. looking at storm scan3 all clear, we have high pressure on our side for yet another day. we zoom it out to wider zoom, though. what you notice off to the south here, still some wet weather. primarily now off shore. this is frontal boundery trying to clear out and so often this time of year you just don't see it happening. it is not usually in the cards for the southeastern united states to see fronts totally clear out. so what ends up happening a lot of times as we think is possibly going to into next week, these fronts stall out they start to gather more moisture, and then you might even ends up with a little development. that's possibility for us to see next week. specifically, tropical developments so, with low pressure redeveloping itself on the tail end of this stationary front, warm water to work with, and less wind shear to tear anything apart you could end up here with some development out in the atlantic, into next week. that's something we will be watching. at the moment it does not appear as though we have any kind of major threat here at

schuylkill expressway. this is one of the areas where we typically see it heat up the quickest. that's what we're seeing right now. also the roosevelt boulevard northbound broad street had crash here earlier on the exit, since cleared look at this beautiful shot of that sunrise, just starting to peak up showing the clouds, just beautiful shot. all right southampton township in new jersey route 38 at route 206 all lanes are blocked in both directions because of some downed wires. just be cautious of that. also lincoln drive northbound southbound closed between ridge avenue and wissahickon avenue. on saturday, tomorrow, between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. definitely plan accordingly in that area. erika, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. right now betrayal of trust. father and son are accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a south jersey ems operation. authorities say that 51 year old ronald nighten, 23 year old benjamin nighten told nearly 30 from the springfield township ems squad. complaints came in about missing money and the
