business summit and attend human rights and democracy on sunday he will be visiting ethiopia. this could be earth's bigger, older cousin you might say, the nasa scientists using the space telescope found the planet keptler 452b, about 1.5 billion years older than earth circling a star very similar to our sun. 452b has a 385 day orbit not too far from ours but do not expect any up close pictures anytime soon, it is 1400 light years away. okay, imagine this, maybe they saw us, discovering them and there is a newscast right at this very point that is telling the world that 1400 light years away there is a place we call earth. >> sound like a great movie let's get on that. >> still ahead on "eyewitness news", we are a philadelphia job market report, and we have advice formillennials looking for work.
12:15 pm
and we have the return of the tall ships but with a bit of the twist, we will explain. good afternoon guys, we have are looking at a pleasant weekend but there are significant changes with this forecast especially as it comes to the humidity. we have enjoyed very low humidity lately but that will change.
12:16 pm
12:17 pm
we may have missed the world's largest rubber duck, at the tall ships festival after it was punctured and deflated last month. >> but pat, have you heard there is another rubber duck in town. the the small ships festival kick off last night for its weekend at independence sea port museum on penns landing. it features that little guy as apparently the world's smallest rubber duck. you don't need a magnifying
12:18 pm
glass to see it but look at how tiny. that is a little bit more reliable then the larger big brother of the deflated, as you mentioned duck on the delaware. >> this one shows up on time, shows up inflated and go see it. >> it was so disappointed. >> people turned out wanting to see the big duck. >> i know. >> we were so excited. but back to the pool maybe katie. >> absolutely, do you think he will be ready to go. >> yes. >> i sure will be. >> absolutely, i can't wait for that. that is a blast. right now it is still looking perfect if you wanted to float in the waiting pool or take a nice long dip in the ocean. it is just so pleasant outside. that low humidity continuing to be a running theme for us here and that is that clincher of what makes it so nice outside. we have seen sunny days in the mid to upper 80's all the time this time of the year but do you see days without the humidity? that is more rare. this is making for some picturesque weather again today. we will start off by taking you outside to show you the
12:19 pm
view gorgeous, very clear shot no less of our live neighborhood network shot from palmyra cove nature shot. a couple crew members dianne and mike, they realize how clear it looks because, so often, you have water vapor from the delaware river that kind of of excuse it and makes it look steamy, when it isn't necessarily steamy but we have that much dry air. so that is why it is such a clear view for us right now of philadelphia from across the river in palmyra. storm scan three it is empty and will stay that way for an entire additional at least 36 hour window here. off to the south you can see moisture. that is most organized front. this is a stalled frontal boundary drifting off to the south and basically suppressed by high pressure keeping our weather pattern so gorgeous here. another full afternoon of sunshine and low humidity, another nice night to leave that window open, turn ac off and it is still gorgeous tomorrow as well. now, off in the distance waiting in the wings is our next frontal boundary. this front will be fizzling
12:20 pm
with time but what it does do is usher in a pattern change. i think you will a's see shower or thunderstorm around on sunday and monday too skat nerd nature. that is more than anything going to usher in more humidity for our area. in the meantime let's jump back to that stalled frontal boundary. here's the tropical satellite and yes tropical satellite is an important issue you here, because, as this front gets stalled out do you see a lot of times this time of the year during hurricane season, an area of low pressure so much moisture to work with and all of the warm water that this is stuck over, could actually help trigger tropical development into next week. so we will keep a very close watch on this. i can tell you there is one mod that he will might want to bring something at least close to the east coast. no guaranties. but it is something that we're watching. in the meantime it will be a lot about wind sheer, how much do we have, how much is available to, rip any storms apart if they develop. something worth monitoring it wouldn't be an issue until
12:21 pm
beginning or middle part of next week. long way away and a lot can change. we are in the low to mid 80's, generally around the board perfect, perfect beach day unfolding in the in mid to low 80's in most locations right now. at jersey shore and delaware beaches and we're talking low to mid 80's, give or take a degree or two. it isn't your exclusive high up and down the shoreline. uv index is up there with rip current risk, that is another great excuse to hit the waves and, again i'll say it again have your sun block ready to go. quick check on how the rest of the day looks for philadelphia, we are up to 86 degrees. dropping back down in the upper 60's tonight and still comfortable right through tomorrow but then look at what happens. couple 90-degree days and it looks like it is turning quite steamy as early as sunday. >> okay, so get the exercise in while we can perfect. >> perfect excuse right now and tomorrow. >> yes, do it while it is not humid. >> right. >> thanks, katie. >> time to check your philadelphia job market
