intervention g we're on plan b. so plan a was try to get the tickets with everyone else when the system didn't work. >> reporter: after crushing demand crash the original ticket site, septa came up with a lottery idea. the hope is to try and make things as fair as possible and also buy eliminating the first come first serve system tamped down the mad rush to log on to get tickets. >> things are going great. >> septa reports it's working as it should. the transit agency will send out confirmation e-mails to lucky rider who's are eligible to buy regional rail passes for the pope's visit on the weekend of september 26th. >> once a person has been selected they'll get an e-mail. it's going to be sent out between thursday and sunday. >> reporter: but there are those who who are not planning to ride the rails into get into town when the pope is here despite warnings from top city officials we found people planning to hit the road. >> how do you plan on getting into town? >> probably drive. >> i'm not sure it's going to happen. at this point i guess no one

morning, 76. 82 by 9am. and 86 an bit more humid by 11am. not a they are reasonable day for us, but there will be the chance for few strong thunderstorms mainly south and east of philadelphia in the afternoon. i'll tell you more about that and that big pat concern change in the seven day forecast coming up when i join you inside. >> a funeral will be held this week for the 22-year-old mother shot and killed in her own port richmond home with her young daughter nearby. as police search for her killer tonight her boyfriend talks only to "eyewitness news" about the shocking crime. reporter david spunt is live at philadelphia leak with this story. david? >> reporter: jessica, there's a killer on the streets tonight and that does not stitt well with stephanie's family. her boyfriend who lived with her and their little two year old daughter had this to say for the first time on television. >> i don't understand why someone would do this. she was the best. >> sean, is one of the last people to see 22-year-old stephanie alive.

she was his girlfriend. the two lived together in this port richmond home with her two-year-old daughter. he was out late thursday night when he got a call that stephanie was shot and killed inside their home. >> i went crazy, man. i didn't know what to think. i didn't want to believe it. i got the phone call they heard a sound. >> neighbors told police they heard a single gunshot around 11:00 o'clock thursday evening. detectives tell "eyewitness news", the front door was open. giving the killer easy access. >> homicide detectives are vest of interested in this surveillance video. it shows a possible suspect quickly run across the street. >> rest in peace baby girl. >> friday evening hundreds came out to remember stephanie but he wasn't there. he was in police custody for hours answering questions about his girlfriend's murder. police released him saturday morning. >> i want to help them as much as they want to help me, you know. they're doing -- they're trying, they're doing their job, you know, they're -- they're doing

be inside. swat was called out but no suspect was found, and the investigation continues. police arrest add gloucester county man after an overnight vandalism spree left cars damaged in south philly. 29-year-old norman, accused of of slashing tires on nine cars on the 1,000 block of elsworth street. police say he was caught in the act with a knife in his hasn't. he's facing several charges to night including criminal mischief. >> police are asking for the public's help to track down a suspect putting squirms on atm atm's. shows surveillance video of the suspect from the 7eleven at 800 walnut street earlier this mom police say the suspect has targeted an atm there twice. as well as an atm in old city and several in montgomery coun county. $3,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arre arrest. a show of support tonight for a teacher fired from a mainline catholic school for being married to another woman. margie winters and about 50 supporters went to the archdiocese with a box of

july 14th to the 21st, back in 2013. longest heat wave ever here in philadelphia 17 days july into august of 1995. we had a 13 day stretch in 1953. and 12 days back in 1999. so certainly not the worst heat wave we've ever had but it's still feels like a long time it's been hot and steamy. a few showers 3am924am still a couple of showers moving through. we start tomorrow with clouds and sun and most of the day is dry. stray shower or thunderstorm mainly well to the south down the shore through the delaware beaches in the afternoon. once we get that front out of here, temperatures cool off. wednesday lower humidity it's a but full day. thursday sun will give way to increase in clouds and we could see rain try to creep in on thursday night. overnight partly cloudy with isolated shower or storm. tomorrow hot and humid a stray thunderstorm most of us are dry but if there is a chance a better chance down the shore than in the city. 87 degrees for your tuesday down the shore. beautiful beach day wednesday at 84. and the "eyewitness weather" seven day forecast look at the difference here.
