we begin with breaking news, it is now public. perjury and obstruction of justice, the charges against pennsylvania's attorney general, kathleen cain. top ranking prosecutor in the state will have to surrender to that's right. charges come after an investigation, by the montgomery county district attorney. good afternoon everyone, i'm pat ciarrocchi. >> i'm erika von tiehl. we want to get right out to the courthouse in norristown, "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria huff has within following the story for us. good afternoon.

>> afternoon, montgomery county district attorney risa furman says today is a sad one for the people of pennsylvania, i'm holding here two very thick criminal complaints of first of which for state attorney general, kathleen cane, the other for special agent of hers, doubled as her driver, patrick reese, alleged under the instruction of cane, reese illegally acts as secret grand jury information, then purposely leaked to the philadelphia daily news. cane has been charged with obstructing administration of law, official oppression, criminal conspiracy, perjury, false swearing. that leaked information was regarding a sealed 2009 investigation, which fuhrman said today she sees as an act of revenge, that kane took to embarrass former state prosecute heres she felt previously made her look bad. the second half of those charges against kane relate to her testimony over the alleged leaks, in front of a grand jury, fuhrman stated today the evidence points to kane lying to cover up the leak.

>> the motivation for these acts, as exposed by the evidence we gathered, quite simply, in the attorney general's own words, was this is war, this was her war based upon the evidence, conducted without regard to the rules, without regard to the law, and without regard to any collateral damage, the battle might entail. >> long maintained her innocence, said she with a not step down from her position, it is expected that she will turn herself in over the next two days. reporting live from montgomery county, alexandria huff, "eyewitness news". >> thank you, attorney general kane defended her nef this statement saying in part, quote: i am very disappointed dollars that the district attorney has made the decision to pursue this case. i have maintained my innocence from the day these allegations surfaced and i continue to do so today. i intend to defend myself vigorously against these charges. i look forward to the

opportunity to present my case in a public courtroom. da risa furman says that kane will be arraigned within the next two days. we will continue to follow this developing story for you. we of course will have more beginning today on "eyewitness news" at 5:00. in other news this noon, the delaware county medical examiners office is at work determining the identity after body found in darby creek. >> that body was found during the search for a missing boy from folcroft. eleven year old lakwon hatmore last seen him driving his bike, we told but this yesterday, darby creek just miles from his home. his family is searching tirelessly for him. they have offered a reward for information. we want to turn to our forecast, after days of heat, and the heatwave, finally coming to ends. we have real shift in temperatures, katie? >> yes, slutly, and we are expect to go see more nice weather just unfold for us for the rest of the day here today, and at least yesterday, we did verify with the forecast, but it was still a

very warm day. i have to tell you with the sun at your back, definitely still warm afternoon today. let's go ahead, we start things off by taking you back if time, see how we did yesterday. watching that thermometer very closely through the course of the day yesterday. officially did hit 89 degrees, at philadelphia international airport. making it officially, a eight day heatwave as we expected. but, yes, you will only busted it by one whopping degrees yesterday. meanwhile, storm scan, pretty quiet. more than anything, looks like there is a lot of cloud cover overhead. frankly i have to tell you more blue skies out here than anything. and, we can expect to see that sunshine help warm things up for the rest of the afternoon. meanwhile, as we look forward in the forecast for the rest of your afternoon, it is expected to hit about 85 at the height of the afternoon today. pretty close to where we should be. typical high is about 87. later tonight, things begin to shift in the atmosphere. that's courtesy of approaching storm system from the west, which is currently churning back over the ohio vale. that gets here later on tonight in the form of some showers, but, this is throwing us a little bit of curve ball because not everyone gets

had real shift in the weather. it feels so much more refreshing. to me, is that right? or am i imagining that? >> you want so much to feel it. >> that is actually what's happening out there. we have nice low dew points, low humidity to go along with the day, another real nice summer afternoon, mid 80s, generally the he can pecks takes for us out there, so pleasant day. but things are starting to shift once again in our atmosphere, watching new storm system start to nudge east, with time here. that will eventually be our next wet weather producer. not everyone gets hit this time. so let's take you out to storm scan. looking right now at a loop of the satellite and the radar, tail end of the loop. we reboot dollars our machine, so that's why the radar drops off there at the end. but you can see what we are talking about here, a lot better circulation starting to unfold here with this disturbance, call it flat out storm system at this point. and all of this is essentially rolling east. so, what's that really mean? further north you go, basically, the more likely it is that you will end up with just some quiet weather for the rest of the day.

we start it off with sunshine, now into the p.m. time frame. clouds starting to nudge closer and closer, and as this storm system creeps in, later tonight, i think you could see couple of showers from philly on south primarily. that's really the story tomorrow. this storm may just completely bypass philadelphia. i would still allow chance though for fill toy get in on a shower, but the further north you go, and we will get to that in a second, the more likely it is you stay dry tomorrow. saturday looking better, storms will zip taught say satisfy and the weekends as a whole not bad. mid 80s, some sunshine, looks good. so here's your best chance scenario. notice, the cut-off supper bucks county basically, all point wells, and all pointer eason north, no worries. live in the lehigh vale, just going have clouds tomorrow. the further south you go, the more likely it is that you ends up with some wet weather stormment not wash out necessarily, but certainly a situation, where you are going to end up, i think here, with at least couple of showers if not few rain pocket moving through. temperatures as we stand right now into the low 80s around much of the region here. it is kinds of the magic

number philly on south. temperatures into the 70s, oc, barnegat light, rehoboth in at 79 degrees, checking quickly with palmyra cove nature park, shot, pretty easy view of center city well off in the distance across the delaware. as we look out toward the beaches, it is looking good there, too. eventually, dealing with some clouds as the day progresses, the uv index is still up there, even though the clouds are going to start to build, so sun block required. meanwhile, as we look ahead to the weekends, we jump there, again things look good if you have maybe beach weekends planned, mid 80s the expectation, really other than tomorrow doesn't look like we will have shower chance in the forecast until at least monday. so, not a bad forecast, pretty consistent temperature wise for sure. >> oh, feels so much better. we'll take it, thank you. >> we are very excited about what's coming up nef. we have chef here in our studio. >> incredible small of warming olive oil, just smells heavenly. we can't wait to see what he is whipping up. dishes that you can find at his local restaurant coming up after the break. and taste test, looking forward to this all week, i

coming up with some great ideas, actually doing more testing today. but we have great -- >> let me get out of your way. show us little bit of this. >> this looks to me like proscuitto. >> really, just scrambled eggs, pest and the style dish. what we've done, taken eggs, we put them in a kryo back bag, water, salt, little milk, goings into circulated bath, and then once they're cooked, it goes into an isi canister, which air agents the eggs. gives you nice fluffy, airy egg texture. so we have few different element, that go with that. so this is just a fresh tomato purey. watch this egg mixture, really. >> this would be one course to be is her snuffed. >> yes, we serve a eight course tasting menu or 12 course tasting menu. >> you know what i think is real interesting, too? you had introduced home-grown
