there directing traffic. fifteenth street between south penn square, and chestnut, that's going to be very busy this morning, causing slow downs, erika, over to you. >> meisha, thank you. we've been following breaking news this morning, out of ferguson, missouri, one man in critical condition after witnesses say he was shot by police. it was a day of peaceful protest, that took a terrible turn. cbs correspondent don champion has the latest. >> shooting in ferguson overnight after protest over the michael brown case. the interim ferguson police chief, was being interviewed about the mow test, when the shots were fired. people in the area, could then be seen running for safety. and investigators say the shooting happened a man opened fire. show the unmark cars, the officers were in, were hit with bullet. >> we can't.

brutality. the demonstration starts at 6:00 again, tonight. to texas now, rookie police officer is on administrative leave after shooting unarmed teen. surveillance video shows, 19 year old christian james taylor smashing his s. v into car dealership in arlington. the officer, 49 year old brad miller, shot and killed the teen. the officer was reportedly in the final stages of training. taylor's father says regardless whatever his son was doing, he did not deserve to be shot. >> philadelphia police remain on the scene after violent crash, that killed two people, overnight, want to get right out to "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch at the scene for us in lawncrest with the latest information. justin, good morning. >> reporter: erika, good morning, the crash scene now open to traffic. it reopened about half hour or so ago. police have not yet identified those victim, but we do know they are a male and female, that male, age 30, the female, age 25, and the investigation is well underway this morning.

let's take you now to video of the crash scene from just hours ago. witnesses tell us they saw that jeep grand cherokee losing control as it travels in the southbound center lanes of the roosevelt, they also say they saw smoke and debris fly from the suv as it spun toward adams just after 2:30 or so this morning, in the process, clipping a light post, and also side swiping tell come site here on scene and ejecting those two victims, more than 100 feet from their vehicle. now, here at the scene earlier, there were several loved ones watching as police investigate the scene. their loved ones bodies covered in sheets. they also spoke to a driver after second car, who is a friend every victim who was behind the wheel of that car. she said they were tailing that crash vehicle after leaving a get together of some kind when she apparently lost site that far car, and returned to the scene to find the car overturned. and her two friends, who were inside, dead. we spoke to friends here on the scene who say this will take some time to get over. take a listen.

investigating fatal shooting in elmwood. identifies him as 16 year old cory tunnel, shot on the 6300 block of reedland street. medics responded 6:45, to reports of nosebleed. tunnel actually suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died this is than few hours later, tunnel's grandmother has no idea how this could have happened. >> went over to the cousin's, playing with husband cousins, next thing i know i get a phonecall, little cory has been shot. went to the hospital and they said they wouldn't even let me in. unclear how the shooting happened. >> 6:17. and, the popular reality tv star now he's asking his facebook friends for little help getting bailed out of jail. we'll tell how we are talking about here. also, woman goes swimming in florida, and is attack by alligator. hear from another juan who witnessed the terrifying aftermath. that's all coming up next.

the disease has long been associated with the very high death rate. but, a stud fry columbia university medical center shows women diagnosed with ovarian cancer are now 50% less likely to die from the disease, than women diagnosed decades ago. they're living with the disease for longer and longer periods every time, as we have new chemotherapy, new drugs, new ways to deliver drugs for ovarian cancer. >> the american cancer society sets about 21,000 women in the u.s. will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, this year, about 14,000 of those women will die of the disease. and, music could help treat epilepsy. researchers in ohio say the brains every people with epilepsy appears to synchronize with music more than people without epilepsy. this discovery could lead to new seizure therapist, because music is processed in the area where most seizures originate. how about that? not everyone craze bye bugs, rid? but if they don't bug you then
