off water a lot of marine influence coming from the atlantic ocean. we are awaiting arrival of showers from the west and they will come through overnight tonight, especially. lets take another look at storm scan three. you can see heavier showers off to the west over west virginia just creeping into western pennsylvania. and in ohio at the moment. but as we await a a arrival of the warm front off to the west followed by cold front we have a few scattered showers popping upright now in our area these are very light, spotty, and light rain, back through portions of delaware and chester counties and montgomery county as well. a few drops, you may have to flick the windshield wipers traveling on the schuylkill or blue route or northeast extension this evening. the heavier rain is off to the west and it will work its way in overnight tonight. it may be another one of those nights where we wake up to a loud crack of thunder. don't be scared if that has happened. it has happened a few times. tonight may be another chance for that. take a lot at cloud increasing. the here's midnight, heavy rain off to the west but by two or 3:00 a.m. is where

morning, shows workers recreating the beach, after weekend erosion forced beach patrol to shut down the north end beaches. marie robb watched it happened. >> i was out at low tied earlier and came back to the house and went back in the afternoon. >> reporter: when she did this is what robb and other beach goers saw a 5-foot drop off. >> about as tall as me. it was just a cliff, it is just a wall of sand. >> reporter: erosion stretched a mile along avalon's north end exposed this pipe and then became the the talk of the town. >> i didn't see anyone fall in but i was like wait for it, wait for it. >> reporter: avalon finished a massive beach refill project where they brought in this new sand. this is new sand they brought in. thinks all of the old sand what was here before. what happened is for two days they were persistent northeasterly wind, basically came in, sent the waves crashing into all of this new sand and sending it down south. >> in public works came out

wilmington, delaware. police on the scene at north washington street and west seventh street shortly after after 2:00 this afternoon. it is unclear how many people were involved in, word on any injuries but be sure to stay with "eyewitness news" as we get updates on this breaking story. state of emergency has been declared in st. louis county, missouri following violent protest and dozens have of arrest on the anniversary of michael brown's death. >> unaudible. >> during last night's rally one suspect authorities say opened fire on police was critically wounded when the officer shot back. authority have identified that suspect as 18 year-old tyrone harris, junior. the his father says he believed his son was unarmed. harris is now facing ten charges. >> we're trying to work with the community, we're explaining them their rights and we just want to be as patient as possible. >> police arrested 50 protesters after they allegedly blocked the entrance to a st. louis federal

courthouse. no justice, no peace. >> here in philadelphia protesters are tea manning justice for brandon tait-brown who was kill in the police involved shooting. supporters and family members of the brown stood outside district attorney's office this morning calling for seth williams to reopen investigation into his death. brown was hot shot during a traffic stop at frankford last december, and the officers involved were not charged. police say speed was likely a factor in the deadly roll over crash in philadelphia's lawncrest neighborhood overnight. now it happened just before 3:00 a.m. on whittaker and adams avenue. police say driver identified as 24 year-old gallon vest was trying to make a turn from roosevelt boulevard when suv jumped the curve, struck a pole and utility box. impact threw gallon vest and her passengers, 30 year-old jeffery chavez, 150 feet. >> i just can't believe it, i just can't think bit, right

now. everybody, everybody, not me, not only me, but everybody can't believe it. >> the crash close that had intersection for some time while police conducted their investigation. it has since reopened. driver of the car that slammed into a home and caught fire has been charged with driving under the influence. crash happened just before midnight on the 8600 block of bustleton avenue. police say 34 year-old catherine brian was pulled out of the wreck by a passerby and home owner who was jolted out of his seat upstairs. the eight five-year old suffered minor injuries. the fire department quickly extinguished that fire. it could soon cost you more to make a trip across tacony palmyra and burlington bristol bridges. burlington county bridge commission is holding first of two public hearings tonight on the proposed toll increase. there is another tomorrow, and vote on the increase is expect wednesday. now currently the toll is $2 a

heart stopping video from australia when a young girl is nearly hit by a train. and it started when a hoola hoop that girl was playing with rolled on the tracks. she jumped down to get the hoop but when she tried to get backup she struggled as the train pulls in the station. another passenger, grabbed her and pulled her back on to the the platform with just moments to spare. faa is investigating four reported drone sightings near knew work airport yesterday. >> we just saw a drone at 3,000 here four commercial flights

you are portions of chester county where my hometown of phoenix varying, norristown, radnor, a few light showers there worse of it is still well off to the west. you see that creeping into western pennsylvania a lieutenant of rain with that and strong thunderstorms over the ohio valley. actual storm system is far off to the north. this is actually a a warm front. cold front is right about here. it would be a 1/2 punch into the day tomorrow. warm front comes through overnight with heavy rain, thunderstorms. cold front does not sweep through until later tomorrow afternoon with the another round of scattered showers and storms. in the meantime with the included cover and that wind off the ocean it is a cool one. 77 degrees at the airport. seventy-three in allentown. sixty-six in mount pocono. seventy-five in millville. we will see that north or south east wind right off the water in the shore points keeping it cool there as well. ocean city, stone harbor, cape may all at 75 degrees we will not get much warmer then that 74-degree ocean. we have rain moving toward us. still off to the west at midnight. coming through at 4:00 a.m.

erupt on the first anniversary of michael brown's death. dozens have been arrested and one suspect is critically injured in the police involve shooting. as we gentleman change -- weijia chen reports. >> reporter: tension reese main high, several demonstrators including cornell west were taken into police custody while staining a sit in outside st. louis county courthouse. it comes after a night of violence and destruction. for the second time in a year, they are struggling to clean up hair salon after looters stormed in overnight. >> i was sad, and in tears, and somehow just really tired, frustrated. >> reporter: weekend of peaceful protests was interrupted when a gunfight broke out between two groups sunday night. hours earlier, more than a thousand people, marched from the spot where unarmed michael brown junior was fatally shot by a white police officer. plainclothes police caught up

this video was taken as police fired at one of the suspects, as she was detained but the other woman escaped and remains at large. there were no injuries but a separate bomb attack at a police station in the city left ten people wounded, it is in the clear if the two incidents are related. two men are under arrest in sweden charged with murder in a deadly double stabbing at a ikea store. the attack happened in the kitchen wear department, a man and woman were killed. so far, there is no word on a motive. it looks like more like mustard then water really. that is what has 3 million gallons of sludge is now flowing in the colorado river. contaminants continued to flow and they have crossed state lines. maria viral, reports from the accident that was caused by the epa. >> reporter: toxic sludge reached new mexico this weekend disrupting life along the ad ames river. >> i cannot shower, i cannot cook, i cannot do anything with the water from my water well.

i have stepped out here. not a whole lot happening at the moment but overnight that will change, as a batch of heavy rains head our way. lets go out to storm scan three and you can see is what happening. heavier rain and thunderstorms creeping from the west. you can see heavier rain over ohio, back into west virginia, and just starting to move into western a pennsylvania so we have got sometime before it gets here but, in the meantime we have got a lot of instability in the at in months fear and a couple of showers, sprinkles popping upright now as we move over to our triple sweep. nothing happening in the city at the moment but up can see a few lights spots of green on the radar there up through portions of montgomery county, delaware county and eastern chester county at the moment. if you are traveling across the the area watch out for pop up showers here and there you may need to flip windshield wipe are a couple times driving around the area tonight. look at few to weather. by 10:00 we have isolated showers popping up. cloud cover through the offer night hours. by 1:00 a.m. thinks moving from the west and it looks like the heavier rain will cross our area between
