bullets fly in one philadelphia neighborhood overnight and this morning, three people are recovering from gunshot wound, many more could have been hurt though. we're live with the latest on this violent night. a hazardous waste plant possibly moving into one local area big concern for surrounding neighborhoods. a local family targeted and vandalized now it is fighting back after this possible hate crime gets national attention. good morning, it is wednesday, august 12th i'm erika von tiehl. i'm nicole brewer. we are clearing out after heavy rain but we have a accident to contend with straight out of the gate, katie and meisha, good morning to you. >> i feel lake we have our hand all dirty yesterday getting ready for everything. anything that comes day i feel

like we are prepped for. >> that is good. as we had mentioned things are drying out out there already, we are definitely looking at a nicer day by comparison. could there been a stray shower just as additional cooler air moves in, shore but generally we have seeing dry weather. we will look live, for you all is clear for you at this point. if you have in the yet stepped outside or maybe your windows are closed and you have ac on, once you step outside you will notice it feeling more refreshing outside. that is some good news. it was so muggy last few days. storm scan three is bringing with it a nice clear sky. you can see clouds retreating, moisture retreating and high pressure moving in for us here. generally a very quiet, forecast for the next couple of days, by week end we will start to heat things up, but for now, this is good stuff. mid to upper 60's, couple low 70's, today, and, including philadelphia north of the city here in the suburbs and you

are in the 60's right now. as we move forward through the the course of the wednesday we expect highs to hit mid 80's once again. nice thing about it, even though it is as warm as it has been, it is less humid. we will feel very confident an. it should be a beautiful shore day and that stray shower or storm meisha that fires up north of the city but we will be dry today. >> great, music to our ears, thanks very much. it is early on this tuesday but we have a crash out there, breaking news in delaware county live accident 95 southbound near blue route you can see three full lanes are block off. we have one drivable lane, you can see plenty of headlights squeezing around that accident. all those flashing lights more vehicles that enter the red way at 5:00 o'clock if that doesn't get cleared up that will pose some problems for some of us. overnight construction 95 south near airport. you can see it is dark but those cones are in place blocking one of those right lanes but there are other lanes, drivable as you can see moving right by and i'll let you know when that clears up.

forty-two freeway north, at creek road toward 295 you can see what it looks like at this hour. and going to the wide we are seeing every where you look is around 55 miles an hour. exactly what we want to see, erika, back over to you. new this morning police are investigating a triple shooting in the point breeze neighborhood. >> shots fired in the 18 hup block of south 30th street sent resident running for cover. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live with the very latest, justin, good morning. >> reporter: police say there could have been many more victims in this case. they count two dozen shots that were fired bursting through a home just around midnight, this morning. several 911 calls led police to the home in the 1800 block of south 30th street where they found two males struck age 20 and 22 years old. that 22 year old was hit in both of his legs. that 20 year-old struck in his foot and letter back. they were sitting on the front porch of the home, just after

11:30 when that slew of bullets came their way. they ran inside to escape gunfire, police say there were two women inside who narrowly escape the gun fire too. one of whom is six months pregnant and she was talking to those men as those shots were fired. second woman says a bullet went by her in the living room as he was a leap on the couch. >> we know 24 shots were fired at least because we found 24 spent shell casings, all in the 1800 block of south 30th street. after being shot, both victims ran inside the house and then were subsequently transported to the hospital by private auto. >> reporter: at this hour police are talking to both victim and witnesses. we know they are in stable condition at penn presbyterian and a third man has since emerge after those two victims were hospitalized as he was shot in the hip in the area of

19th and tasker. at this point police are looking into this as a triple shooting. we are live from south detectives, i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". erika and nicole. also new, a multiple shooting in east germantown leaves two men critically injured. police say gunfire erupted on the 5500 block of crest president street around 1:00. an 18 year-old woman was, injured and she's in stable condition this morning. police say evidence shows 25 shots were fired from two separate guns. they say it is unclear what started the gun fire but authorities say it may be drug related. also following some breaking news, just in, a u.s. military helicopter has crash on the japanese island of oak now was. the helicopter a black hawk was crashed in the sea about 20 miles east of the air base. three crew members have been rescued. no word on their condition just yet. search continues for two others, we will stay on top of this and bring you update when

we get them. indicted pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane will hold a news conference in harrisburg this afternoon. it will be her first public response to the criminal charges against her filed last week. the prosecutors say kane released secret grand jury fur to embarras a critic and lied bit under oath. kane's driver patrick reese pleaded not guilty in an e-mail snooping scheme to help her keep tabs on the grand jury investigation. kane has scheduled her news conference for 1:00 this afternoon. see it live on line at cbs philly.com. 4:36. another, yet another septa lottery, related to the pope's visit is now underway. >> up for grabs three day passes good for norristown high speed line and trolley routes 101 and 102. those passes are for saturday september 26th through monday september 28th that lottery runs until 11:59 tonight and winners will be notified by e-mail. we are down to 45 days and counting, pope francis will arrive in philadelphia in a month and a half for his

historic visit. burlington county bridge commission will vote on a proposal continue on crease tolls on the tacony palmyra and burlington bristol bridge. currently that toll has $2 per car. e-z pass users would see tolls rise to $3, cash users to $4 this would be the first increase in 15 years. extra money would fun a 110 million-dollar improvement plan. frustrated residents will get another chance to convince officials not to build a liquid hazardous waste treatment plant in bucks county. that meeting is tonight at sheraton hotel in langhorne. a lot of people voicing their concerns at a public meeting. elconn is planning to build first chemical treatment plant on the morrisville falls township border, feet from the banks of the delaware river. department of environmental protection has already denied, their first request this year. this is second request in months. >> we don't want the plant and

we will remember when election time comes. >> the basis already accepted, but we are trying to provide a sustainable solution and not ship the problem but complete it, and rehave move it for good. >> this plant could take years to break ground. police in cape may county are investigating a possible hate crime, vandals spray painted the word i'm gay on the garage door of this home on east hudson avenue in lower township. the home owner aaron delong is demanding to find out hoist responsible. her 14 year old daughter is gay and her 17 year-old daughter is by sexual. >> they are good kid, they are friendly kid, so to see somebody go against them, just for who they are and who they love, it is awful. >> but this crime didn't bring that family down for long, delong's turned it into a positive message by painting a rainbow over the writing.

they plan on keeping this paint permanently. their response is getting national attention. right now a possible break in the case of the deadly hit and run. police have located a bus that may have killed a pedestrian walking outside philadelphia police headquarters. the bus was on its way from south philadelphia, to washing top d.c., when police believe that the driver struck a pedestrian. forty-six year-old joseph heard. it happened at franklin and race streets tuesday morning. heard was hit and then dragged about 50 feet. he was pronounced dead at the hospital. >> pedestrian, and bus went in the same direction, boating east. pedestrian is halfway through the the crosswalk when the bus makes a left turn and runs over the pedestrian. >> police have questioned the driver, headphones were found at the scene but it is unclear if heard was wearing them when he was struck. coming up on "eyewitness news", we have new developments concerning hillary clinton's e-mails. police release surveillance video from the moments shots rang out at ferguson this weekend.

fifth night of protest in ferguson, missouri end in a peaceful demonstration. officials released video they say shows 18 year-old tyrone harris grabbing a gun before being shot by police on monday. this happened during protests marking one year anniversary of michael brown's death. harris is now in critical condition. authorities say he fired at police a claim corroborate by a witness. 4:42 right now. hillary clinton is giving up personal e-mail server she used as secretary of the state. fbi is investigating whether classified information was i am presently sent or stored on that device which ran from her house in suburban new york city. clinton's use of private e-mail has come under fire for congressional republicans and white house rivals, erika.

oak a back here at home, this is a nice stretch of weather here with the low humidity we are back in the mid 80's and that is on par with temperatures that we have seen in recent days. big difference is it will feel better outside and thursday is my personal favorite. absolutely gorgeous. the mid 80's low humidity. full sunshine. have lunch outside. find something to do outside. good excuse, right? mostly sunny on friday. i would call this a good pool day. because we're talking upper 80's and we are tracking the approach of the new frontal boundary. this does president look like a major system but it will bring in a sure or thunderstorm for us on the weekend specifically saturday where we will keep an eye on. that we are expect ago this high to hit 85, under some sunshine and keep that theme going tomorrow and then we will heat it up. couple of 90 degrees days down the road starting as early as the weekend, nicole, back to you. >> katie, thank you. in sports phillies play
