but do you have to take it ice, dew points climbing. storm scan3, hey at least quiet as can be. and that definitely promises to bring in some real pretty views this morning. here is a gorgeous shot for you outside kutztown area school, very modest breeze right now, and even though this does read out of the north-northwest, the general atmosphere flow is out of the southwest today. so with that said see things heat up bit more readily, not just on thermometer but also when it comes to the humidity. daytime high officially expected to reach about 94 in philly, but your day plan letter get to you about 93, 3:00 p.m., or so, but at that point who is counting really? just hot. by the time we hit the afternoon, heck, even by 9:00 a.m., we should already be around 80 degrees, just not going to take very long for it to get kind of on the uncomfortable side here. >> absolutely. a loft water, hair, ponytail, the whole thing. and we know some of you guys have long hair, too, and you feel my pain, as well.

good morning, everyone, happy monday to you, certainly shaping up to be busy one. if you are just joining us, take a look outside, where we have disable tractor-trailer, 59 southbound near cottman, it is blocking the right lane. you can see the police officer is out there, and by the way, out on foot as well so just be very careful around the bend. what's happening is they are coming around the ben and they are coming to up all of these flashing lights, putting on their breaks, trying to swerve around them. so 95 is looking very, very busy, in fact, this was a little bit more wide, just minute ago, where could you really see the backups. now just seeing little bit of it. seeing the brake lights, 59 southbound, around cottman, looking very busy right now, so give yourself couple of extra minutes. past collegeville, 422 eastbound past route 29. see looking good here. everyone traveling around posted speeds here, that's what we want to see in the 6:00 hour. cherry hill construction route 70 eastbound, at route 636. the right lane blocked until sunday, make note that far for those of you in and around

reactor nearby was switched back on. and it-had been closed off since the disaster back in 2011. philadelphia police are searching for suspects, after three people are shot in olney. two men, and a woman, were shot just after 10:00 last night on the 5200 block of second street. all of the victims are in stable condition. if you have any information, please, call police. >> twenty-seven year old mark edwards is in custody this morning, accused in a hit-and-run that left six year old child hospitalized on saturday. police say edwards hit four cars, and that child, on the 6600 block of sylvester street in northeast philadelphia. the child suffered broken bones. edwards faces criminal mischief and other charges. well, nearly three years after super storm sandy devastated seaside heights iconic casino pier, owners get the green light to go ahead and rebuild. the department of environmental protection granted permission to rebuild chunk of the boardwalk and move their sky ride car attraction 160 feet from that current location.

tomorrow. as well as wednesday. and then, finally, we see this cold front making it approach, and to the point it bridges in wet weather thursday, and coy see very isolated shower or storm as early as tuesday night, then into wednesday. but, not a wash out by any stretch. thursday, looks like it will be the most widespread most active weather day for our area. meantime, expect that sunshine, expect the heat, the high again 94, and later on tonight we drop it down to 73. muggy night, generally just with a couple of clouds, but keep in mind, air conditioners required obviously here cents as long as you have the benefit of one. be sure it is cranked you'll be more comfortable that way. looking forged in the eyewitness weather seven day forecast, keep the 90s going right through wednesday. and then finally, i wouldn't call it necessarily a break in the heat. i mean, still talking upper 80s after all. both thursday and friday. but, those are also going to be the days that we start to see the most active wet weather issues moving into our area. so, 88 apiece, both thursday, friday, and, you know, again,

>> faa is trying to figure out what caused a hot balloon to crash. maryland woman in critical but stable condition at local hospital. the pilot, 55 year old, robert firm err of honey book, pennsylvania, and another passenger are both in stable condition. police say the donating hot air balloon got tangled up in wires saturday night, and shocked the people inside. >> they couldn't stop it quick enough t hit the wire. top of the balloon folded over the wire. sparked a little bit. then the balloon collapsed down. >> watching the balloon coming over, just seeing it hit the corn, i seen it was going pretty fast. >> and investigators say, the balloon was operated by new horizon balloon team in lancaster county. >> well, pro surfer mick fanning has made tree up pant return to competitive is her fink a month after he survived shark attack. weekend in that heat i the first timing he performed since the attack. it was captured on live television during competition in south after cam three time

the air conditioners are working, thanks, good morning, everyone, happy monday to you. well, all right. so we are kind of pushing toward our rush hour now, because of this, we are getting plenty of vehicles out on the roadways, now disable tractor-trailer on 95, southbound, right around cottman. and this is the back up here, near academy, you can see, all the way to academy because of this incident, as you are coming around the bends at cottman, see the tractor-trailer pulled all the way out to the right, blocking some of the right lane, you have got the flashing lights, you have got police officers out on foot. so this is making a very slow commute. you are certainly traveling less than posted speeds in that area, give yourself couple of extra minutes, for those of you taking the ben franklin bridge, looking real good here. nice and slow, mass transit checklist is okay. so, ten, 11, 13, 34, 36, and they are now back to normal service. after we were having some track repair there, and also, going to our map, you can see, everyone traveling along pretty much as posted speeds, dropping little bit on the schuylkill expressway, and the

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live for us at the greyhounds bus terminal in center city with all of the details, long night for those folks, jan, good morning. >> nicole, good morning it, has been very frustrating morning for dozens of greyhounds passengers here in center city. there has been a loft confusion, there has been hours of waiting, and you know what, more upsetting than all of the convenience passengers say that no one here has been talking to them about the problem. some passengers tell us their bus to new york city never came. other going to pit burying, and ohio, tell us the same thing. one woman traveling to virginia says they overbooked her bus and that she was left without a seat. she was actually supposed to leave sunday evening, and is now re book on bus that's supposed to leave here for 7:00 a.m. so she has been here overnight. you can see her out front of

the station. at one point this morning, there were dozens of angry passengers out here, wanting answers. take a listen. >> you think you're going to start getting loaded for the bus at 12. then you find out that there is no bus. they said the bus driver, they can't find one, he is on his way. two hours later, we can't find a bus driver, you have to sit and be patient. >> now cynthia, that you just heard from, headed to ohio for a family vacation. she had four children with her. she was actually able to get a refund, so now she will go back home and have her vacation in atlantic city, she says. i was able to speak to employee here before supervisor came over and told the person to stop talking to us, but the employees tells thaws greyhounds is offering refunds to those who paid with credit cards. they can't, however, immediately offer refunds to those who paid in cash. because they don't keep that kind of carbon them here overnight. of course we have reached out to greyhounds for comment this morning, and for more information about what the

family physician doctor rob dan off on call this morning with all of the details, good morning. >> good morning. >> thanks so much for being here. we were talking about just few minutes before, and apparently the cdc has new reserve that much says hey maybe the schools are starting to early? >> good point. so the cdc looked at data from over 40,000 schools that were surveyed in 2011-2012, and less than one fifth of all public schools in our country start at the recommended time 8:30 or later. schools start to early. i'll tell you why that's important. american academy of pediatrics did a study. and that they said that as children get through puberty, their clocks change. so, you're close to being a teenager, it is heart to get to sleep. >> wait a second. say that again? want to hear that one again? >> but the thing is kids, teens, heart for them to fall asleep before 11:00. if they start school too early it is bad for their health and bad for their grades. >> so how much sleep should threat be getting? i know it differs depending on age group. for them to feel real refreshed what are we talking

here? >> preschool really about ten to is it -- 12, 11, 12. school age children, about ten, and teenagers really need nine to ten. but what is happening is most teenagers, majority, do not get enough sleep. >> okay. how do you go about getting them on that schedule? because for parents, it is casino of tough. right? >> it is hard. you know, something about schedules t gives a routine. so, the same type of sleep, same time, go to sleep, same time wake up, certainly on weekends within an hour, that's real important. also, no late night meals. that's really important. too for the kids. for parent, real important that when they go to sleep, the bedroom is dark, it is comfortable, it is at good temperature, and no video games, no tv in the bedroom, because that just excites them. if they want to read a little book, that's okay. >> down sides of it they don't get enough sleep? i know some of them are real severe. >> you're right, depression, mood swings, in school, core performance. if you are tired, it is hard

to learn. it is authorities remember. it is hard to acclimate, get that good information. but also later on smoking, drinking, poor behavior, wait gain, when you don't have enough sleep, way more prone to gain weight. so it is very, very un felt i -- unhealthy, sets up bad pattern from so you think these schools maybe need to listen to the research. more convenient to get them in earlier but maybe not bad for the kids. >> great point. not -- they have their own biologic clocks. we need to start school little later for them to do their best and to be their healthiest. no matter if we put them toeclip at 8:00, 9:00. no matter how hard they try it is hard for them biologically to get a good sleep until about 811, and need about nine hours of sleep. >> what else can parent do to prepare? >> right now make sure economy to doctor deer, get their immunizations. >> doctor rob, thanks for being with here with us. i'll try to get some sleep. >> go to sleep.
