three things have gun to light up here outside of new york city where we have so much moisture in the atmosphere, clouds basically have to ring themselves out. that's kind of the story. so, when you get these dew points as high as they are, in other words, the moisture content in the air, you are going to be dealing with a very saturated air mass. and that means, whether there is storm system or not, you can end up if the conditions are ripe with basically just heating of the day, triggering a spotty shower or storm. that is what we expect later today. 3:00 p.m., temperatures about 92, but expect to go hit 93 officially here this afternoon. again may be thunderstorm that dots the area later today. nothing widespread, but enough that, you know, you want to keep an eye to the sky if you plan to be out later this afternoon. >> certainly, i think about when you brought up walking the dogs. so true, if you have a dog you are going outside no matter what. rain, sunshine, humidity, doesn't matter, out with the little pooches. i should start doing, that move little bit more, walk around little bit more. see the city.

street. the victim was rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the stomach n word on any suspects or a motive. meanwhile, fire rips through an apartment in philadelphia's somerton section, firefighters got the call around midnight to the haldeman manor apartment, that's near haldeman and the boulevard. it was under control in about a half hour. one person suffered smoke inhalation, the red cross helping 11 displaced tenants n words on what spark that fire. >> police investigating a fatal shooting in the olney section. a 33 year old man was shot in the stomach, a 21 year old woman was shot in the foot. chopper three was over the scene in the 200 block of nidro avenue last night. police say two sitting in the front after home, another man walk up, opened fire. the man died at the hospital. , the woman list in the stable condition, same area where three people were shot sunday night. police are not saying if the shootings are related.

5:03, and relief to neighbors after police arrest a suspect in connection with the brutal beating and rape of a five year old girl in north philadelphia. that suspect is only 15 years old. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us now at police headquarters, he has the latest, justin? >> special victims says last night were able to positively id this teen as their suspect. they say he beat that five year old girl so severely, she could not eat solid food for weeks. we first brought this story late last month, when mother says she was unable to find her daughter, just five years old, after 7:00 a.m. that morning, she searched their home in north philly for hours before finding the girl in the backyard, blacked out, bloodied, on match of high grass. the five year old, though, was able to tell her momma bit about what happened. saying she recalls waking up overnight, walking around their home, before seeing a strange man in their hallway, special victims captain john darby describes what happened

a firetruck greeted the boeing 757. flight 750 was bound for brussels belgium. no one on board was injured. >> happening today, congressman chaka fattah is supposed to make his first appearance in court following federal indictment on conspiracy charges. the philadelphia democrat has sent a letter calling for congressional action to review possible misconduct in his case. he's asking two house committees to review his case for quote unconstitutional or unlawful behavior. fattah accused every miss appropriate g hundreds every thousands of dollars in federal, charitable, and campaign funds. >> developing right now, rescue teams recover the black box in the indonesian plane that crashed in a remote area of the country killing all 54 people on board. officials say the plane was just destroyed. all but one of those bodies had been recovered. a south jersey politician has plans to make money off of crowds just like this one for sunday's maroon five concert.

at least get underway with tropical waves. at this point, yesterday it was a 50-50 shot. now at 80% shot for this to actually form into our next developed storm system for the tropical season in the atlantic, next flame on the list would be denny, so we will see how we do with this. again, this is definately an influx situation, but the conditions are ripe for them to potentially development talk about what's going on with our weather though, back here stateside. at the moment, it is pretty quiet. we do have spotty shower, i should call it just spotty pocket of steady rain, right around new york city. that's kind of the idea what we will likely see later today. what you see back through western pa our warmfront lifting in. that is likely to not only keep the moisture in place, for one thing, but also help trigger spotty shower or storm. combed front needs to move through too. this storm just huge for one thing, also very slow to move through. soap, it will take couple every days, before we're really in the clear from it. and that means, we keep the humidity, we keep the heat, and even though we break the

specially on a monday and tuesday. here is a look at the blue route approaching route one, see plenty of headlights. let me back out of the way. see taillights in this area, as well, moving both northbound and southbound direction, blue route is one of those areas i'll keep my eye on as we push through the 5:00 hour. 422 westbound at oaks, eastbound and westbound rather, looking good there. 422 usually does. until we hit about the 6:00 hour. ninety-five southbound at cottman, coming around the s curve making your way into center city, plenty of headlights, taillights in this area, as well. this is certainly one of the busier sections, area that we will see heat up in the 5:00 hour. i always suggest give yourself couple of extra minutes. phillies versus blue jays a 70:00, a for those of you traveling in and around the south philly area. give yourself a few extra minutes. even with the phillies playing, fingers crossed for them. looking at the wide, you can see all censor maps are up. that means, everyone traveling around at this early hour, at posted speeds, exactly what we want to see right now, erika, over to you. >> thank you, meisha a new

jersey state senate republican leader tom kean says crowds like these at sunday's maroon five concert in atlantic city, thee crowds could help save the resort town. currently awaiting a vote to give tax breaks to a list performers agree to perform four dates in atlantic city. the act would then get credit on all income they earn in the state. it is estimated sunday's show was about 50,000 spectators. made about $24 million for the city. how about that? >> school officials are meeting for new dress code. frustrated student in the wallingford voice their concerns for the school board last night.
