parts of our area are seeing, downpours. storms are scattered, but they are packing a punch. we will have kate's forecast in just a moment but first we will begin at 6:00 with breaking news, sources telling thaws phillies fan favorite, chase utley, is now a dodger. it feels like an end of era as members of the 2008 world series team slowly leave the city. good evening, everyone i'm jessica dean. ukee washington is off tonight. let's bring in "eyewitness sports" anchor leslie van arsdal and you will tell us what we already know. >> we have been hearing bit, nothing official just yet but multiple sources are reporting chase utley is heading to the dodgers and will be reuniting with jimmy rollins. phillies haven't commented yet but a deal that makes sense. utley and his wife are from that area. in return for utley and cash, phillies will get two minor leaguers. the chase spent his 13 years with the phillies, the heart and soul of the team, leading by example, the longest

tenured athlete in philadelphia. coming in sports, we will hear from some of his teammates, one of the most respected players in baseball. >> no doubt bit. of course, a fan favorite and this has been in the works for a while but it still when it happens. >> it is sad. >> absolutely. >> leslie, we will see new a bit. phillies fans have a lot to say about the departure of chase utley. another day, of the latest heat wave and today we are tracking storms. meteorologist kate bilo is live on the cbs-3 sky deck with the very latest on this, kate. >> jessica, today was supposed to be cooler thanks to the cloud cover but enough sun got in this afternoon that it did push us above 90-degree mark. now a five day heat wave. second longest heat wave of the year. temps back in the 80's now and storm stretch has begun. lets look at storm scan three, what we are looking at as we sweep the a area, line of storms along the new jersey, pennsylvania border. these are mainly missing center city philadelphia, south philadelphia where the phillies game tonight but they are originate nothing northeast philadelphia and tracking through bucks county. heavier rain last clipped to the north of that area, but as we zoom in another cell has developed over southeastern, montgomery county right around glenside area and this region still under a flash flood warning, as we go through the the next couple of hours. that goes until 7:30 from buckingham, bucks county and wyndmoor and abington an

indication that flooding is ongoing and with showers moving through that could lead to the threat for additional flash flooding on the roads. please be safe in that area tonight. scattered showers and storms until 9:00 p.m. mostly cloudy overnight. coming up i will tell but more storms for tomorrow and then gannon friday and let you know if this will impact weekend plans you may have coming up when i join you inside. >> a counselor and swim coach is charged with sending explicit photos and hundreds of text and e-mails to the student. she even promised to help him get into college. all of it an alleged attempt to have a sexual relationship with him. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff is live in malvern with more, alex? >> reporter: jessica, 40 year-old emily feeney was arraigned this afternoon and currently out, on bail. prosecutors say that this case is unique and just how aggressively the student was persued and how much he very wisely push back. investigators say at one point they found a message from the student to feign that i said quote i'm not interested in

you end of story. i am 16, and not into you. to a 16 year-old college is the the end game. >> the the quiet unspoken message there is if you don't go along with this you are not going to get in your dream school. >> reporter: before at rest, 40 year-old emily feeney served as a swim coach and college acceptance counselor at all boys malvern prep try school. prosecutors say from april 2014 until january of this year she aggressively persued a 16 year-old student athlete, even when he did not want sexual texts or e-mails. they site this message from feeney to the boy quote if you just stop fighting and let it happen, you would be less uptight and much happier. chester county district attorney tom hogan adds that feeney sent nude photos and the teen has no part. >> we have text, e-mail saying i'm only 16. i'm not interested in this. please don't do this. >> reporter: at that point what does she say? how does she respond.

>> her response is to actually up the pressure. her response is to use her position as director of college counseling and say if you consent to this, if you go into this elicit relationship with you, i will get new to harvard. >> reporter: investigators say the only physical contact that the two had was a kiss, but still hogan add in a school setting the charge is institutional sexual assault has more to do with power, then sex. the d.a. added that the school did help with this investigation, and has participated all along. reporting live from chester county, alexandria hoff for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a walk home from the park end tragically for a family in southampton, new jersey. two-year old was killed and three others critically injured when a car hit them on budd town road last night. children were heading down the middle of the road. they have just left this parkas you mentioned last night and were just walking down, to get back home, about a quarter mile away. youngest in fact a two-year old boy was being pulled by his 18 year-old sister in a wagon when police say a man driving his bmw simply didn't see him. alcohol was not a factor, neither was speed but he still plowed into the four and then killed that young boy. a at first neighbors cheryl o'neill thought she had heard thunder. >> we heard a loud thud. >> reporter: it turned out to be something much worse. >> we came running are up, called 911, in the process of riding up here and they were just, children every where. >> reporter: outside her home on budd town road new jersey state police say a man driving a bmw had plowed into four children, two brothers their sister and their cousin. o'neill tried to save, john child martinez but it was too late. >> i went to the younger child. i felt for a pulse, which i

could not feel one whatsoever, and then you kind of saw him take his last breath. >> reporter: other three, ages six, eight, 18, they are in critical condition. children all live at this nearby farm. they gathered at the farm to mourn including 13 year-old maya martinez who was walking with the kids last night but escaped being hurt. >> it was like a war zone, with all of the helicopters, and ambulances, and people, we knew something tragic was happening. >> reporter: neighbors also showed up, offering to help this family in mourning. >> i started a go fund me, people around here are very giving and are heart broken. >> reporter: we checked and family says those other three children are still in critical condition. reporting live from southampton, new jersey i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". greg, thank you. we are 38 days from the arrival of the pope francis and while most of the preparations are happening in the city, papal visit a and

world meeting of families will be affecting the the suburbs too. former philadelphia mayor and pennsylvania governor ed rendell took to the air waves earlier today to blast that plan, to have a fence around the security perimeter, and the idea that people would have to walk for miles from new jersey, in order to get to see pope francis. well, spoke on our sister station wi p this morning. >> it makes sure your are constituents are well prepared for emergency, that you have the tools that you need to be able to advise them and tools that you need to be able to both prepare for or god willing, report an emergency. >> earlier today, leaders learned that they will be getting help in the montgomery county, montgomery county officials there speaking to the faith leaders trying to make sure that everybody is on the same page as we prepare for this historic visit from pope francis that will impact the suburbs as well. getting back to pennsylvania governor ed

>> yes. >> i will keep going. we have to talk. >> i'm sorry. >> now that i have burger in my mouth, let's track a few storms. we will see how the evening is shaping up. take you out first to campbell's field camera, let me swallow real quick, cloud drifting by and these are dark looking cloud as storms fire up, mainly north of philadelphia these storms have missed south philadelphia, missed center city and south jersey completely but southeastern montgomery county, northeast philadelphia and bucks county these areas have seen a good deal of storms today and heavy rain. you can see cloud, sunshine, interesting shot there, showing that pretty distinct cloud deck. the lets look quickly at storm scan three and we will see what is happening. few showers and storms fired backup in northeast philadelphia, and montgomery county. rain moving up bucks county of push up in new jersey and couple cells trying to pop up overly high valley. we will look closer at that. first i want to show you this next cell, an area with heavy

rain, abington, upper more land, back to the west near white marsh township and wyndmoor. further north up toward lehigh valley we are seeing rain. thinks pushing in bethlehem right along 378, across 22, which is very bus think time of the day. so that could slow you down if you have friend, family, wait for someone to come home on their evening commute in the lehigh valley they may be sled down for that. more storms off to the west, we are not done by a long shot, showers and thunderstorms will continue throughout the theay tomorrow and friday. still a warm 89 degrees in philadelphia. by the way, we have briefly to 92 today. meaning heat wave is not over just yet, now a a five day heat wave, second longest of the year. what is ahead? scattered thunderstorms throughout the evening. heavy thunderstorm tomorrow, downpours and threat for flash flooding, localized flash flooding, rain early friday. good news we will clear it out for weekend as we thank the a arrival of the front bringing in warm, moist air, showers and storms, anytime, thursday night into friday morning

>> it is a big surprise because, just yesterday, reuben amaro said chase utley would not be traded and now he is heading west. multiple sources reporting chase utley has been traded to the dodgers. both teams have yet to confirm the team. the utley and 2 million heading to l.a. for two minor league prospects. chase did come out and take part in the team warm up and batting practice. we talked to his teammates about his possible departure. >> i cannot really mean what he has meant so far in my career. he has guided me through everything, that i have experienced. >> it is going to be strange. you always want to be in a position to go win ballgames, and especially for somebody like chase who puts in the work every single day. you want them to go and pursue an opportunity to win. >> to football eagles/ravens held their first of three
