here is schuylkill eastbound at montgomery. you can see still looking great here. anywhere i look on the schuylkill we are looking good which is nice to say, in the 6:00 o'clock hour. here's a beautiful shot of the ben franklin bridge for those coming into new jersey and center city looking great here. everyone traveling around at posted speeds. we will see the ben franklin bridge pick up more toward that 7:00 o'clock hour, holding steady, looking great here. overnight we had a serious accident in burlington county, new jersey just be aware of this. investigation is underway on route 130 north bound at route 543, northbound lanes of the 130, are shut down, just so you know, i would use an alternate like 295 because of that accident. ladies, back to you. meisha, thank you. we are updating breaking news in montgomery county. huge flames race through an apartment building in king of prussia overnight. they have damage a dozen apartments and forced more than 30 people out of their homes. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch spoke with affect

residents and justin just a long night for those people, good morning. >> reporter: looking night and will soon be a long morning for them as well. we have just heard neighbors tell us that knocked on their doors, what got them out of their bed and away from the fast moving flames this morning. we can tell you many are standing outside waiting to get back in and see what is left. fire fighters say all 16 units in this building here behind me, suffered some kind of fire damage. lets go to video from overnight. flames were fantastical. 1:30 this morning, came reports of the fire, king of prussia fire department responding to this scene here at the abrams run apartment complex off bill smith boulevard. the alarm quickly moved to two alarms. heavy fire and thick black smoke consuming this complex, about 30 or so people were evacuated in the end. we are told the roof of this two story building carries the the flames throughout this structure. another concern here in fighting this fire we're

seeing live utilities, popping sound were heard throughout the fire fight. those were active, electrical and gas line we were toll. that gas fire was put out a short time ago rather a after crews, doug underground to shut off that line. at one point a water main break when temporarily complicated the water fight of the fire but that was brought back on land this morning. we are told very soon that water could be shut off to the complex. one alert neighbor did tell us he first saw fire at 1:30 and ran outside to put it out or so he thought. take a listen. >> i immediately came out and grabbed the fire extinguisher from my kitchen, and ran outside, and, tried to put it out. by the time i got there it already went up the vinyl siding and went to the second floor. it was useless. >> reporter: and, the area he is talking with is that corner

right there. you can see gutted, just wood frame and lots of burned and broken wood. that is where the core of the fire did break out where he ran to no avail trying to put it out. we can tell new injuries to report this morning. a fire fighters or residents at this point. the causes under investigation and all of those who are affected are making arrangements we are told with family, friend and also the red cross which will be on site shortly. live from king of prussia, justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> justin, thank you. also breaking right now a serious car crash in burlington county. one person has been air lifted to a hospital after this accident happened near route 130 and beverly road. the extent of the person's injuries are not yet men right now. it is in the clear if that victim was the only person inside the car at the time. police are trying to figure out what caused this crash. meanwhile, violence overnight, a shooter opened fire into a port richmond bar striking one patron and multiple times. philadelphia police say that

the shootings happened on the 2700 block of allegheny avenue just after midnight. police rush to the victim to temple hospital where he is listed in critical condition. "eyewitness news" tell police that it the began in a fist fight that spilled outside until one man pulled a gun and started shooting at the victim as he tried to run back inside the of the bars. >> while being shot at, the victim ran back inside of the bar in order to get away, but the shooter continues to fire and fired at least two shots through front glass door of the bar. philadelphia police credit alert bar patrons for helping them track down the the shooter. eyewitnesses followed that gunman outside and then took note of his license plate number. that allowed police to make an arrest a short time later. meanwhile a man who once jumped the white house fence is shot and killed at the chester county courthouse. that suspect is identified as 34 year-old curtis smith of coatsville. police say that smith entered the justice center just before noon, ran up to a deputy and

began slashing him. another deputy opened fire. that deputy at last check was in stable condition. smith later died at paoli hospital. run through the doors saying i am going to get you. went right past security. i hear pop, pop. something wrong with him. he is down. but for god sake let him out. >> "eyewitness news" was able to locate at agreement between the the federal government and curtis smith, in it the united states agreed to stop charges against him if he stayed away from the white house and stayed out of the legal trouble. smith signed that document six months ago and was able to walk free. turning to campaign 2016, the temperature turned up on donald trump's feud with uni vision tuesday when he kick out one of their reporters from his news conference. cbs news correspondent hanna daniels has details. >> sit down. sit down. go ahead. >> i have a right to ask a

"fox news" chief roger ales called them disturbing and said an apology is in order. when trump responded it was kelly who owed him an apology. hanna daniels, it was cbs news. asian market are volatile, markets across the region were up and down during trade to go day. chinese stocks closed down 1.3 g beijing's decision to cut a key interest rate. well now investors on wall street are hoping u.s. stocks will have a better day. yesterday stocks surged from the opening bell but it wasn't enough to prevent another sell off, the dow jones has gone down six days in a row losing 1900 points during that period. dow jones lost almost 205 points in total, nasdaq was down nearly 20, s and p500, dropped 25 points to close at 1,867. a lot of people just

we see pick upright around now as we push through 6:00 o'clock hour, roosevelt boulevard will continue to progress and moving on to i-95 southbound you can see this is certainly a stretch moving in center city. that is looking busy moving around red cones. we are used to those cones in place here but still just know when we do have them, as we push through six or 7:00 o'clock hour they will still cause a problem for some people. moving in center city looking good, just slowly starting to dip. serious accident, this is what i was talking about at the desk. in burlington county new jersey the investigation is underway on route 130 northbound at route 543, northbound lanes are closed, your alternate of 295, ladies, over to you. we have some breaking news just into "eyewitness news", a police officer has just shot a man in the cons creek section of the philadelphia it is happening on the 100 block of south 61st street. at this time we know a victim was shot in the abdomen and taken to presbyterian hospital.

a tweet has caused former philly curt schilling his job. espn has taken schilling off his coverage of the little league world series after a tweet connecting muslims and nazis. schilling's tweet featured a graphic that read, quote it said only five to 10 percent of muslims are extremist, in 1940, only 7 percent of germans were nazi's, how did that go. he quickly deleted the tweet and took responsibility, quote i understand and accept my suspension 100 percent my fault. bad choices have bad consequences and this was a very bad decision in every way on my part. so at least responding quickly and taking responsibility for it. >> yes, that is what you have to do. 6:21. pickup truck drivers bring traffic to a stand still on a new mexico interstate. >> not in a good way. the driver did doughnuts on the highway creating a captive audience because they block the highway. >> yeah. >> several drivers called 911 after witnessing them perform

in the north bound direction. before all of the rains were closed, now, one is reopened but as you can see, very serious with this car here, and completely mangled and actually severed in half. so very serious crash here. not causing too many slow downs in this area but you can imagine with crews out on foot, everyone hustle and bustling, what will happen around that area is you will get gaper delays. so just make note of. that we have a disable truck sumanytown pike between church and allentown road, just be aware, not causing any slow downs but good to make note it is there. as we take a drive on the boulevard southbound heading toward the schuylkill you can see green but i can tell you there are certainly taillights going on as you get off roosevelt boulevard on to the schuylkill. overall everything is slowing down a bit. ladies, over to you. back to that breaking news we have been bringing from you montgomery county this morning. fire tearing through an apartment building overnight.

>> it impact dozens of apartments and forced more than 30 people out of their homes. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us from king of prussia all morning. what is the very latest, justin, good morning. >> good morning, some 30 people, forced from their homes overnight. we are told at some point that some of them may be able to make their way back home, but the the fire fighters do tell us here that each of their 16 units in this building here will bear some kind of damage. take a look at that roof right there burned completely out as a result of the fire which began 1:30 overnight. we will take to you video where abrams run apartment complex off bill smith boulevard in king of prussia at it height witnesses say tall flames and thick black smoke consumed this complex. first responders went door to door knocking on those doors to evacuate residents. some 30 people brought out of their homes. fire was first reported at 1:30 this morning. it was quickly raise todd two alarms by king of prussia fire

department. crew from his all over montgomery county came into assist and at one point during the fight of the fire there was a water main break, however it was brought under control and they were able to continue to fight the fire despite that break. dit not stop them from their efforts here on the ground. we are told 50 plus fire fighters were here in all, there were complicated conditions such as active utility lines of gas and electricity h they were shut off. the gas was one of the last things to be shut off here at the fire scene. lets take a listen. >> we're really still concern about this gas fed fire because we cannot turn the gas off. we have to dig a hole to get them shut off. >> there was a flames, kind of right where those crews have been looking at the scene here that is area where the core of the fire had taken place. where that a area is now burned, and wooded out there. a neighbor tells us he first saw that fire at 1:30, came

over with an extinguisher and was not enough. that is when fire department was called. fire marshall is on the scene, assessing the cause of the fire. no injuries, to report, from residents or either fire fighters this morning. we are live from king of prussia, i'm justin finch for cbs-3 eyewitness must. >> thanks for the update. philadelphia police are questioning the owner of the former funeral home after a gruesome discovery. authorities found three decomposing bodies up side a garage on haggard street in strawberry mansion. state record identified janet pole-daily as third generation owner of the powell funeral home and a garage locate add cross the street. neighbors say powell family help the community but they are upset about what was found. >> nobody should be stored like that. >> no where laying around. >> we didn't have in money, and that lady would do the best she could to set up

something a memorial or something. >> no arrest have been made, investigators are working to identify the bodies. according to the pennsylvania funeral directors association the the powell funeral home has a lengthy quote disciplinary history with the state. check out this video, philadelphia police want to know if you recognize this pair of brazen burglars. men used lad tore enter second floor of the home in west oak lane on july 31st. once inside police say those suspects, stole jewelry and safe that contained a hand gun. they took off in a minivan waiting outside if you recognize those robbers you are asked to give police a call. meanwhile a roller skating rink owner in south jersey is facing sex crime charges. suspect this man 36 year-old john carlo of franklin township is behind bars right now. carlo is owner of the franklin skating center in franklinville. prosecutors say he is accused of secretly video taping a child whose intimate parts were exposed and showing adult

pornography to a child. the alleged incident occurred between november of 2014, and last month. parents are concerned schools in the cash strapped chester up land school district might in the opened on time. school board discussed how to close the 24 million budget short fall last night. judge refused the request for a 20 million-dollar reduction in how much district pies charter schools for special education students. judge refused to slash four million-dollar the district must pay students in cyber charter schools. parents tell us that they are fed up with the district's financial problems. >> mainly parents are concerned. they want to know why is this happening, once again and they want to know where is the moneyinging ? >> parents say no decision was made on if those schools will open up on time. 6:38. the philadelphia flower show is heading for the the great outdoors. >> next years theme is explore america. big event will be partnership between philadelphia a horticultural society and national park service which is
