killings. craig boswell reports. the incredible evidence in this shooting have created a new live for victims and their families. it's prompted an enormous outpouring of support as the cards and flowers and balloons continue to pile up here. members of the roanoke, virginia, community came together at wdbj for a stop the rally violence thursday night. crew alison parker and cameraman adam ward were gunned down on tv. parker's parents want her to be remembered. >> that's our hope and something we will work for till the end of our days. >> reporter: barbara and andy will advocate for tougher gun laws. >> at the end of your term

you've got nothing to lose and i don't want to see another alison and adam die like this because nothing gets done and i challenge you to join me. >> reporter: police say vester flanagan legally bought two pistols from this gun shop. police searched his car and recovered a glock pistol, a briefcase, three license plates, a wig, and a black hat, also a to-do list. wdbj is considering new procedures before sending crew out to do live shots again. at least four people are dead after tropical storm erika slammed into the island of dominica. the storm delivered 15 inches of rain to co-minka triggered devastating mudslides and flooding. about 20 people are missing. meteorologist eric fisher of our cbs station wbz says erika is on

track to menace florida and southeast. >> we continue to watch erika's progress. already brought flooding rain into the leeward islands. it continues to work its way west. tropical storms out for puerto rico, the dominican republic, as well as the turks and kay koes and also now parts of the bahamas. here's a look at the track. that could actually really bring down the intensity of the storm. very mountainous terrain, tends to destroy tropical systems if they go right over the top of it but it could reorganize it and takes a packet right up the eastern coast of florida and the southeastern coast of the united states. at that point it could be a hurricane, perhaps a stronger hurricane if it can survive that trip. a lot of very warm water hee, well up into the 8 0s. in terms of the steering currents, it's parallel to the coast so it could be several

days before it tracks up florida and any of those states. we'll be monitoring erika carefully over the next 48 hours. this morning hillary clinton is pledging top democrats to pledge their support as vice president bind mulls whether to join the race. biden says he'll make a decision by the end of summer. hena daniels is here in new york. hena, good morning. >> good morning, allison. several presidential kents including hillary clinton will address the members in minneapolis today. one person who won't be in attendance is joe biden who appears to be stealing the spotlight from the contenders. they'll hear from hillary clinton today. at a campaign thursday she compared her republican rivals to terrorists for their views on women's issues lie abortion. >> extreme views about women, we

expect that from some of the terrorist groups but it's a little hard to take coming from republic republicans who want to be the president of the united states. >> gop candidates including jeb bush and john kasich condemned the remarks and the republican national committee quickly called for clinton apologize for her rhetoric. her terrorist remarks comes as a new quinnipiac poll shows she may be in trouble. support for the current front-runner has fallen by ten points in the last month. the same poll also shows joe biden doing better in matchup against donald trump and clinton even though he hasn't entered the race. >> if joe biden were on the fence, they'd have to look at these numbers and say everything else is not looking great and you look terrific it's my hair, i swear.

better. over the last three days the dow recouped nearly half of its losses. the dow gained 369 points thursday. the s&p was up 47. the nasdaq rose 115 points. crew oil prices jumped more than 10 points thursday. it rose $3.96 to settle it more that $42 a barrel. it was the largest gain since march of 2009. landmark ruling from the national relabor relations board voted thursday to redefine the employe employe employer/employee contracts. it would allow them to work directly with corporate giants like mcdonald's. they're cutting their ties with a tennessee chicken farmer. they had a hidden camera that show as what they say a gruesome

risings temperatures and increasing winds are fueling the largest wildfire in washington state. it's burned more than 450 square miles. 45 homes and almost 50 cabins have been damaged. three firefighters died fighting the fire last week. tomorrow marks ten years since hurricane katrina devastated the gulf coast. it killed more than a thousand and forced millions from their homes. president obama went to new orleans to see the recovery.

a security camera captured video of a terrifying crash in texas. a truck driver in dallas plowed into a car carrying a family and pushed it off the road. the truck driver did not stop. the man in the car, his wife, and two children survived the crash. the family later learned the driver reportedly has no insurance. ballet tells a story through dance. we end this story with a ballet star and the story he's telling young dancers in his hometown. wyatt andrews reports. ♪ >> reporter: to the ballet students at suitland high school in maryland, eric underwood is a legend because underwood, a
