mark. i think we will go for four possibly five before it is all said and done. lets take a look at the statistics here. you can see what i'm talking about. we made it to 91 on sunday. ninety-three on hundred. ninety-two on tuesday. we are looking at yet another day of heat. temperatures 74 in philadelphia. sixty-nine in atlantic city. sixty in the poconos. dover coming in at 07 degrees already. look at these due points. higher then yesterday, 70 right now, in philadelphia, so that tells you how much moisture is in the air, very humid out there. the skies are cleared once again so once again that means we can heat up today and we are expecting to. so a high of 94 in philadelphia is what i expect today, even more, and 87 at the shore getting up there at 80 for poconos. meisha, more heat to look forward to as we go through today and tomorrow but the the weekend is looking good. so we will tell everybody that now. >> i'm traveling home to minneapolis this weekend so that would be nice to travel

in good weather. thanks so much, kyla lah. good morning. very early. hump day, wednesday, we are pushing through the workweek right now. here's where we have some construction. ninety-five southbound atwood haven. center and right lane is block. we saw this yesterday. so, as we heat up, i would say even in the 5:00 o'clock hour we will see a single file lane, and it gets wrapped up quickly because it is overnight construction. that should be all right. then also 42 northbound at creek road for those traveling out of new jersey approaching 295, the road are looking really good in that area there are reports of construction. i will update that coming up in about 15 minutes. here's ben franklin bridge. nice, quiet, take a look at that picture. basically showing you this because it is such a beautiful shot of the lights, and still dark but the the volume levels are extremely low. for those taking the burlington bristol bridge, it is scheduled to open up at 4:25 this morning which is

already passed, it has not opened. i will update when it does. the just a quick, quick peak at our big map here 55 miles an hour overall that is exactly what we want to see, we might see that change moving in the the five or 6:00. i will see you in a minute. back over to you. lets get back to breaking news from monmouth county, new jersey, a two alarm fire sweeps through a home in long branch. fire department confirms several people have died. fire fighters got the call to the home on the 200 block of jolean avenue just before midnight. prosecutors and detectives are on the scene to investigate how that fire started. police say they arrived first but heat and smoke made it impossible to get inside the home. >> they tried to get upstairs to the second floor, the house was already fully involved, they could not make their way past smoke and fire and they tried their hardest to get up to the second floor where they

thought there were some people. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch just arrived at that scene and gathering the latest information for us. we will have a live report coming up in about 25 minutes. now, new this morning a deadly double shooting in west philadelphia. "eyewitness news" on the scene at 62nd and market streets. police say they have found a 25 year-old man with the gunshot wound to the chest. he was rush to the hospital, in critical condition, but later died. during the the investigation they have learned that a 36 year-old man was also shot, and that more than one shooter is involved. >> we found 21 spent shell casings, and of those 21 spent shell casings they were three separate caliber so we know three separate semiautomatic hand guns were used. >> the the second shooting victim is in stable condition. police are reviewing surveillance video in that area to help id the suspect. it is a story shaking the the wrestling world and two

local communities, murder charges against jimmy super fly snuka 30 years after the mysterious death of his girl friend. "eyewitness news" reporter todd quinones has reaction from snuka's hometown in new jersey. >> super fly. >> reporter: in his hey day jimmy super fly snuka was a hero but today prosecutors say he is a killer. >> charges of third degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. >> reporter: now seven two-year old was arrested tuesday for 1983 death of his girl friend nancy argentino, i spoke with nancy's sister over the phone. >> very happy because it has been a long, road. >> reporter: argentina sustained serious injuries to her head while staying with snuka inside a white hall township motel. she later died at the hospital, but then 39 year-old was wrestling at an event at the allentown fair grounds. no one answered the door at wrestler's home in atco, camden county, new jersey. his neighbors say he is a well like guy. >> i don't know, all this time

passed and now they are trying to get new charges against him, i don't know. >> reporter: in his 2012 autobiography snuka says nancy fell and hit her head and ruined his life. that sparked nancy's family to push investigators to take another look at a grand jury convene. her sister says before nancy's death snuka displayed troubling behavior. >> he was on something, and i said to nancy, i said you have to get rid of this guy. he is just bad news. >> reporter: lehigh county district attorney says doctor concluded nancy's injuries were not consistent with the fall and that the grand jury found that snuka made several inconsistent statements about what happened that night. >> he indicated at points that they were fooling around, and outside of the hotel room, when he pushed her and she fell, they must have wrestled too much as a quote. >> reporter: snuka, who is battling stomach cancer, is out on bail this morning. he has denied killing his then 23 year-old girlfriend from brooklyn, new york.

reporting from the sat center, todd quinones, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". happening today, secretary of state john kerry head to philadelphia. he will deliver a major policy speech on the nuclear deal with iran. kerry's speech at the national cops dogs center will reportedly focus on how the the deal will make the united states and its allies safer. senators bob casey of pennsylvania, and chris coons of delaware are backing this deal. also, pretrial hearings begin in baltimore for the six police officers charged in the death of freddie gray. gray suffered a fatal spinal cord injury while in custody. the his death sparked violent protests. attorneys for the six officers want charges dismissed and states attorney marilyn mosby removed from that case. we're also following a developing story, this morning, police in illinois conducting a massive manhunt for three men wanted the in the shooting death of the police officer. men are accused of gunning down fox late police lieutenant charles gliniewicz,

yesterday morning. before he was shot in fox lake which is north of chicago, the the lieutenant radioed that he was chasing three suspects on foot. >> we lost a family member, many residents knew him as g.i. joe and remember him as someone committed to fox late, to the the profession and his fellow officers. >> gliniewicz is father of four sons. he was with the fox lake police department for more than 30 years. a kentucky county clerk who refused to issue same sex marriage licenses despite a ruling from the u.s. supreme court, she's being called to a federal hearing this thursday. the defiant clerk was caught on camera, refusing to budge. >> why are you not issuing marriage licenses today. >> because i'm not. >> under what authority are you not issuing marriage licenses. >> ken davis says she will not go against her christian beliefs. david moore more and david

a montgomery county woman faces felony charges after she stole from a fund set up for a cancer victim. east norriton police say tracie kratzer started a on line fund raising site for jay henson hoist in the middle of

intense chemotherapy. instead of giving money to henson and his wife, devon police say, kratzer used that donated money to make purchases at several places including target, toys-r-us and mcdonald's. >> we hear from the police report that she was just, really going into target, mcdonald's, and spending this money, without a thought in the world. that is unbelievable to me. >> kratzer has been arraigned on a total of four felony counts of theft ape receiving stolen property. police are warning gloucester township resident to be aware after a woman is robbed by fake utility workers. we have a sketch right here, police say this man entered the house at elderly woman on honey locust court asking to check her water. he and another man disable her home phone and stole several items from her dresser drawer. if you have any information on who this might be you are asked to call police. meanwhile authorities in

gloucester count a rest and charged a man in the attempted luring incident we first told but last week. the suspect identified as gregory scott, he lives at washington way apartment complex in blackwood. police say that scott opened up the first floor bedroom window of the six year-old child who lives at that same complex and tried to lure her away. the child's mother happened to come home, just as all of this was unfolding and police say scott ran away. the the child was not injured. happening today, beach goers will look to the skies over atlantic city air show. "eyewitness news" was there as they were practicing yesterday. this years show features u.s. navy blue angels and u.s. army goal even knights. dedicated to the memory of pilot andrew bryce who was supposed to perform today. he died last friday before the new york air show when his stun plane crashed in practice. very sad story there. always great to see the show in ac, fun to go out, and hopefully better weather today. >> it is so hot and humid

these days it is hot and humid but if you are down at the beach, it is kind of beachy. it is kind of hot and beachy but that can be a nice thing if we get a sea breeze, and it is okay. we could use a sea breeze here. >> yes. >> i got to tell you it will be another hot one everybody. it will be another warm run. we have 95 yesterday, expecting 94, today and we're in the done just yet. we have a break on friday. let's start with a look at that weather for the atlantic city air show. we have got lots of sunshine, clear skies, they are a good thing when talking about an air show viewing, and temperatures getting up to 87 degrees there. so it will be toasty but i think there will be a nice day to be out there. already 74 degrees in philadelphia take a look at these temperatures. sixty-five allentown. we will see lots of 60's. region is very warm. we have 70's from new york city and washington d.c. and richmond, virginia. we have very clear skies. that will help us heat up yet again very quickly.

yesterday we hit that 95-degree mark. that is tied for the hottest day of 2015, so if you are walking around thinking wow, i feel this heat and i. felt this, we are also dealing with high humidity levels and you will see again steamy and we don't catch a break until the weekend. it is a holiday weekend. it is good time to catch a break. high pressure in control. we have a weak cold front trying to help us out that will make it in on friday. we have isolated storms ahead of it and it knocks it down in the 80's in time to head toward your beautiful saturday, lovely sunday and good looking labor day too. today a high of 93, mostly sunny, hot and humid, 73 for our overnight low. mostly clear warm and muggy. lets look at your seven day forecast. here we go another couple days of 90's before we catch a little will bit of the break but weekend is looking really good. so i have to say we have to get through a few days and then we will be okay, ladies, back to you. kyla, thank you.

in sports, phillies and mets wrap up their series in new york tonight when aaron nola takes on mets ace matt harvey. last night offensive fire works from the fightin phillies here. darren ruf hit a three run home run this is third. he had a total of six rbi's. they scored eight runs in the fifth and broke a ten game losing streak to the mets. phillies win 14-eight. eagles made more cut ahead of the tomorrow night's preseason final a begins the the jets in north jersey. they have trimmed the roster to 57 players by replacing former villanova running bank, emmanuel ac ho and put jacorey shepherd on the injured reserve. kiko alonzo and josh huff are expect to play tomorrow night and riley cooper was also back at practice marcus smith and zach ertz sat out yesterday. codey park. y is toss up for the jets game and matt barclay will start the the game at quarterback. >> he will start the game but who starts and who finishes in

hanna daniels, we hear investors are jittery on wall street, rough start to september. hopefully better news today on the trading floor, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, ladies, hopefully, they have in the last several weeks problems in china stocks here on wall street started the day sharply lower and never recover. that is what investors are worried b major index closed down 3 percent, dow jones, fell 469 points, and the nasdaq finish down 140 points. organic may not always mean it is the best, the business publication, says organic food may not be worth higher price tag. on average organic food is nearly 50 percent more expensive and there is no hard data to suggest it is better for us. the report says organic farming practices yield lower amounts of food with the heavier toll on the environment like greenhouse emissions, erika and nicole. >> we're hearing that one fast food giant may soon offer up a

let's check the roads with meisha. pretty quiet out there. >> we have a couple overnight construction project that were fairly used to these. happy hump day to you. here's an overnight construction project in play on i-95 south between woodhaven and street road, ramp from woodhaven to 95, you can see, right here you are losing the the center and far right lane on i-95. this is what it is looking like, kind of squeeze nothing a single file lane off that ramp from the woodhaven trying to get on i-95. we dealt with this yesterday. i'll let you know when this gets pick up. we have vine street expressway westbound between broad street and ben franklin parkway the right lane is block but not causing too many slow downs in this stretch. also a quick peak the at the boulevard, we saw this getting busy, nice and quiet heading toward the schuylkill right now. once we get out of the schuylkill, you are seeing some volume but nothing that

is slowing you down right now. also burlington bristol bridge scheduled to open up at 4:25. i'll let you know when it does. kyla, road are looking good on this wednesday, and i hear we are getting some humidity. >> did you notice i-95 that moisture in the air, it looks hazy, right, that is an indication of the the dew points again this morning out there. that is unfortunately causing a few problems making for an air quality alert for those in new jersey. so take a look here to see what i'm talking about. this whole area is under a air quality alert, unhealthy for sensitive groups. anyone with asthma or respiratory issues. keep that ac cranking. currently 74 degrees. humidity is at 87 percent. that is why you see that in moisture in the air. wind is very calm and still this morning. seventy-four, that is our high in philadelphia right new but 60 in mount pocono. sixty-nine in wilmington. sixty-eight in millville. sixty-eight in wildwood. we're all set to heat up today, everybody. it is not just philadelphia that will see that heat but

workweek. we're almost done here. >> we're almost done with the heat. we're not quite done with the heat but we are almost there, this weekend will be so much better. as we have recent outlook for september, that was put out and you can see we are expecting above average temperatures for the north east and that is certainly including us. just something to keep in mind. current temperatures, convention the at 75-degree, 74 in philadelphia we are at 67 in reading. sixty-eight in trenton and atlantic city coming in at 07 degrees already this morning. the notice dew point is very close to the temperatures in philadelphia. dew point of 7o you can see moisture in the air and you saw you that picture with that hazy look, and that is that humidity, that moisture. we are looking very clearly on the radar. we are looking at that and that means we don't have cloud cover just like yesterday we are set to heat up quickly. take a look at this day planner that shows lots of sunshine but yes, more 90's as we get in the afternoon. yesterday, by the way, you kne
