we're almost done here. >> we're almost done with the heat. we're not quite done with the heat but we are almost there, this weekend will be so much better. as we have recent outlook for september, that was put out and you can see we are expecting above average temperatures for the north east and that is certainly including us. just something to keep in mind. current temperatures, convention the at 75-degree, 74 in philadelphia we are at 67 in reading. sixty-eight in trenton and atlantic city coming in at 07 degrees already this morning. the notice dew point is very close to the temperatures in philadelphia. dew point of 7o you can see moisture in the air and you saw you that picture with that hazy look, and that is that humidity, that moisture. we are looking very clearly on the radar. we are looking at that and that means we don't have cloud cover just like yesterday we are set to heat up quickly. take a look at this day planner that shows lots of sunshine but yes, more 90's as we get in the afternoon. yesterday, by the way, you know we tied a record for the

6:00 a.m. one other place, route 42 freeway north bound between route 544 and 295, the right lane is block, again, until 6:00 a.m. again we're contending with that construction, erika, back over to you. want to update our breaking news at new jersey shore, deadly overnight fire that has claimed several lives. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch just arrived in long branch monmouth county, justin. good morning. >> reporter: erika and nicole, good morning. three lives here of been lost and one life now hangs in the balance here as you can see behind us here the avenue where this fire took place remains cordond off as the investigation launches this morning. lets go down to video from overnight this fire breaking out close to midnight we are told in a two story wood frame home. fire crew is here with monmouth count a arrived here quickly to the scene and they found a home fully engulf, very intense flames, up seed this home at the 245 joe lean after lean. long branch were first to a

arrive here and they found a peril less condition inside, lets take a listen. >> they tried to get upstairs to the second floor and the house was already fully involved. they could not make their way past the smoke and fire and they tried their hardest to get up to the second floor where they thought there were, some people. >> reporter: and as you might imagine the police there first as their first desire was to get in there and safe as many lives as possible. we know three people died, one person is in critical condition. this fire and this causes now under investigation. the traffic in this area remained blocked off as that investigation continues this morning. we are told monmouth county prosecutor's office is taking over this investigation. we are live from long branch, monmouth county, i'm justin branch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". meanwhile philadelphia police are also investigating a double shooting. it happen late last night at 62nd and market streets in

west philadelphia. police say a 25 year-old man died after he was shot in the chest. a 36 year-old man was also shot. police believe more than one shooter is involve. >> we found 21 spent shell casings, and of those 21 spent shell casings, they were three separate caliber. we know that is three separate semiautomatic hand guns that were used. >> second shooting victim is in stable condition. police are reviewing surveillance video from the area to help id the suspect. world wrestling hall of famer jimmy super fly snuka faces charges from a murder that happened in our area three decade ago. lehigh county prosecutors say snuka beat his girlfriend nancy argentino to death at a motel back in 1983. nook ace charged with third degree murder and involuntary manslaughter n his 2012 ought biography, snuka says argentino fell and hit her head. sister said that led to investigators reopening the

case. >> we persued it for a while and all of the doors were slammed at our faces. we just could not go on whitney more, we had to stop. we read the book from cover to cover and it gave us insight into the case and things that we didn't know. >> snuka now 72 and living in camden county maintains his innocence. he posted $100,000 bail. developing right now, authorities are scouring a northern illinois county for three men wanted in the fatal shooting of the police officer. correspondent jamie, now has the latest from fox lake, illinois. >> reporter: at least six federal, state, and local agencies are on the hunt for three men, suspected of killing fox lake police lieutenant charles joseph gliniewicz. he was shot after he radioed that he was chasing three suspicious subjects, describing them as two white males and one black male. >> i hope they get him. we don't need guys running

around here with guns. >> reporter: gliniewicz was was the fox late police department for three decade and father of four sons. >> we lost a family member. any resident here knew him as g.i. joe and remember him as someone deeply committed to fox lake, to the profession and fellow office earth. >> reporter: a small memorial is growing as community mourns a beloved, decorated officer. lieutenant gliniewicz is 26th officer killed by gunfire this year. according to the officer down memorial page. four have been killed in just the last eight days. and this past weekend a texas sheriff's deputy was gunned down at a gas station near houston. but overall law enforcement gunfire deaths are down compared to last year. jamie ukiss, cbs news, fox lake illinois. philadelphia police commissioner charles ramsey. >> black lives matter, black lives matter.

>> several chants, drowned out commissioner including black lives matter and no racist police. this happened at eastern state penitentiary in philadelphia. the protesters shut down the the event. the commissioner was there to discuss challenges and opportunities facing police forces in 2015, while touching on events in baltimore, ferguson and elsewhere. a montgomery county woman now faces felony charges after police say that she stole from a fund set up for a cancer victim. east norriton police say tracie kratzer started an on lining fund raising web site back in april for a friend. hanson is in the middle of the intense chemotherapy. instead of giving money to him and his wife, kratzer used that donated money to make purchases at several places including target, toys-r-us and mcdonald's. >> to sianni hear from the the police report that she was, just really going into target, mcdonald's, and like spending this money, without a thought in the world.
