check of weather and traffic. we have kyla and meisha standing by, for you, good morning. >> good morning. it is thursday, throw back thursday but i swear with this weather it just seems like, it is repeating itself. we're going back to july. >> i know it. it feels good out there, though. >> it feels good right now but it will be another hot one, ladies. so let's talk heat wave, shall we, one day more like the song goes of the heat. we are looking at day five of the 90-degree heat. this is our average this time of the year 38 degrees. we have not seen that since sunday when we were at 91. we are not going to see to it day either. we are at 77 degrees. taking a live look at center city, kind of pretty out there with the sky. 64 percent relative humidity. we will see lots of sunshine and that will heat up quickly. storm scan three shows you just how clear it is, as i zoom out, we will see a little action to the northwest. that is part of the cold front that will eventually make it toward us tomorrow. but right now, we will see, it is 70 in philadelphia.

sixty-nine in reading. seventy-two in wildwood. 70 degrees good morning to those of new trenton. over the next few days we will see a break today. it is in break at all. 94 degrees as a high. a few isolated storms tomorrow. that cold front moves through and noxious down in the 80's and then look at the saturday, pretty, 84 degrees at sunshine. so a nice weekend on tap. we will talk about the rest of the labor day weekend when i come back in a few moments. meisha, how is traffic doing this morning. >> good, real good. it is still early, still dark out there, but you you know, thursday, especially the thursday before labor day weekend you never know what you will get. we will be busy or slow. it is starting to heat up. we have a couple of things out there. i-95 southbound before the betsy ross bridge that has moved to the shoulder. it is not causing any major slow downs but just know that it is there, because anywhere on i-95 that stretch is very busy in the morning. we will start to see that heat up in the 6:00 o'clock hour. so no doubt about it, we will see this heat up at this hour. also, i-95 north bound at

girard avenue the right lane is block because of some debris in the roadway, we've got flashing lights out there, a lot of people trying to tapping on their breaks a little bit. you can see this string of vehicles approaching, all of those flashing lights, because of that debris and slowing things down a little bit but for the most part people still moving in and around, at posted speeds, right now, that will change, construction for you here, 42 freeway, southbound between the 25 and route 544, the left lane is blocked until 2:00 p.m. when we go wide you can see things are looking good, just slowing down on the vine. nicole, over to you. with about three weeks to go philadelphia continues to get ready to welcome pope francis. now that the secret service has more restrictions as to where you can and cannot go and what you can and cannot bring. the papal visit say they are unhappy with the information they have been given so far. survey by philly city controller find 86 percent of businesses say they feel they have been provided with insufficient event details by city officials. of that 48 percent feel that they have still been able to plan despite those challenging. 38 percent say they have not been able to plan adequately, for the pope's visit. pope francis will be in philadelphia in just 23 days, all that new information we told you about, is also in a comprehensive guide for you on line, just go to cbs philly.com for more on that information. switching gears now a developing story now pennsylvania state police are searching for a man they attack in west penn township. authorities say officer melissa look, stopped a vehicle when she was approached by a vehicle, a man came around that car, pick her up and threw her down an embankment. >> now the the person that

we're looking for is a hispanic male, 6-foot two, to 6-foot four, 240 to 260 pounds, he was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans, the kind that go way down below your knees. >> the injured officer was air lifted to a nearby hospital in schuylkill county and her injuring are not threatening. good news there riders wanted to show support for families and co-workers or sergeant lah fey yell ali and lemar pool who were killed in off-duty accident. pool was killed when a met or cycling was hit by a an alleged drunk driver. ali died when he lost control of his pick up and hit the a tree in roxborough. more area students are preparing to head off to school this morning from packing the backpacks up, to the all important, breakfast, many families, have special traditions for the first day of school. news" van because we want to drive at posted speeds. no, no, we don't want to speed. this is where we have had a crash, i-95, thinks past cottman i-95 south looking better, just about ten minutes ago, and it looks like a parking lot, looking better, in this area, and the schuylkill at conshohocken curve, in the east and westbound direction looking okay. just less than posted speeds, nicole, over to you. happening today, kentucky county clerk who has denied same sex couples marriage licenses, is set to appear before a federal judge. kim davis denied a marriage license to the same sex couple yesterday and entire exchange was caught on camera. davis says because of the christian faith, issuing same sex marriage licenses would violate her conscious. she could be find or probably jailed. students in the financially strapped chester up land school district are now back to class and hundreds of teachers are back at work not knowing when their next paycheck will come. >> happy new year.
