big in federal court. a judge erased the four game suspension, the nfl gave braid any may. an independent report, found, brady likely new that footballs were deflated below the minimum during the afc championship game in january. brady has said from the beginning, he had nothing to do with the scheme. >> the question was not whether brady was involved in the in donating footballs, it was whether the nfl followed the proper disciplinary procedures when ordering the suspension. >> us did is district judge richard burr man said in his decision the punishment should be nullified, it was handed down despite several legal issues, they include inadequate notice to brady about the discipline he would face in it was equivalent to player who used performance enhancing drugs. that brady was not allowed to question one of two lead investigators, and also, that brady was not allowed to access investigative files. the players association has appealed the league's decision, saying, the nfl has history of inconsistency, and

here at 20th street and the parkway, actually, the closest you'll be able to get to the pope during sunday's mass, without a ticket. now i want to point out some things behind me. see officials setting up the festival, the art museum, where the pope will be holding mass. we're told by the secret service even with a ticket, guaranteed access into this area, may not be allowed. >> wednesday the secret service row least add pedestrian walking map, which outlines entrances and exits for those attending papal event. both saturday and sunday, saturday, 5,000 tickets are available for the holy father's address on independence hall, on first come, first serve basis. sunday the festival of families and mass on the parkway is free, but ticket is required to get past the 20th street check point. many of these particular vets been sent to 219 local parishes, catholic service organizations, and other fate ministries.

wearing a black t-shirt, and bluejeans, the kinds that go way down below your knees. >> well, the injured officer was airlifted to nearby hospital. her injuries are not life threatening. well, police are hoping that a new overnight tip would lead them to the suspects in the murder of a popular suburban chicago police officer. but, that tip turned out to be a hoax. police lieutenant, joe, fox lake illinois, was killed on tuesday. a caller named kristin kiefer notified police that she has seen suspicious men in the town near fox lake, but police say, she made the whole thing up. now, she is facing charges. >> presidential candidate, donald trump is in new york today where he's set to meet with the leader of the republican party there. the are to discuss signing a pledge to support the eventual gop presidential nominee. >> not going to make the pledge. i will not make the pledge at this time. >> okay. >> well, trump who is the gop

frontrunner at this point says that he has not ruled out running as an independent. in the meantime, addressing the media in spanish, jeb bush questioned trump's political ties. trump responded telling bush to, quote, speak in english while you are in the u.s. >> meantime on the death are democratic side, joe biden spoke to the crucial swing state of florida today. he addressed jewish leaders at miami community college. much of the discussion focused on the obama administration's controversial nuclear iran deal. biden defended the deal saying this it is the best option for world stability. but criticized legislatures who are trying to block it. i've been doing foreign policy for 42 years. i can site, i cannot think of a single time in the last since i've been involved, where our ability to conduct foreign policy has been so strained because of the dysfunction in washington, and the congress.

going to get toasty again. and 90 degrees already, in palmyra. look at you, 88 for mt. holly. oh, i know, deep breath, everybody. heatwave. already seen four days of this 90 plus degrees heat. we have one more today, then we start to see break, so today will be our fifth and final day. 94 degrees, that's what we're expecting so going out with a bang. looking at the radar, nice and clear, against allows us to heat up, sunshine come right on in. this is the thing i want to point out. little storms up here. that's our saving grace. it is coming our way. and it is going to be coming courtesy of a cold front. that's coming through. so tomorrow, we could see some pop up showers because of this. but the front moving through will cool us down. show you what i am talking about here, here we go, we get into our friday. and friday morning, you can see, not too bad. some clouds rolling in it will be tracking through the colds front t means if you are at the beach this weekend,

>> fifty years ago the concept of delivering the news from the scene, with a reporter, and you as eyewitnesses for the story, really revolutionized. at the dawn of tv, channel three was really a ground breaking station, as well. the first news station to broadcast in color. the first in the city to break the color barrier, with dear colleagues, trudy haynes in the late malcolm poindexter it, has been said the history of philly tv news is the history of tv news itself. and that is illustrated in a new book from the images of mercer east called philadelphia television and joining me now, the author, bill scholl. as i had a chance to go through it, we'll share everybody this picture of me from so long ago, it was really fun to be able to see the development of television in philadelphia. what inspired to you put the book together? >> well, i grew up here. and i watched philadelphia

television, like so many of us did, and when the opportunity came along, i couldn't pass it up. i worked in television for many years, and i've known so many of the people who were true broadcast pioneers. when i say pioneers, people who were there at the beginning. the beginning of the technology. the beginning of the news format. you mention "eyewitness news". a man named al primo, invented the format of "eyewitness news", and it took off around the rest of the country. >> and it real did i pave the way for how news has been broadcast, not just in philadelphia, but, everywhere. >> yes, absolutely. idea every breaking news, film, as opposed to an anchorman sitting there with a graphic. >> let's look at some pictures, fun ones that we want to share with you, we now are at 16th and spring garden, but his is our tv station, at 1619 walnut st. >> that was channel three's

second home. and it was built for radio. but, in the book, there is a nice cut away, graphic, that shows little room top floor, future tv studio, built the building in the 1930's, were thinking about tv. >> okay. >> so, now, the next thing, how about the mummers. >> hoe were the first to broadcast the mummers. >> channel three was the first, that picture from 1947. >> obviously a cold day. >> children's television, the pete boil show, that was really one of the very first shows for children. >> it was, pete boil was very popular host. >> we want to run over couple more pictures, the late tom snyder, the one actually the first to anchor this "eyewitness news" at noon program. another great pioneer in television, mike douglas, broadcast. >> broadcast from the walnut st. building at first, then
