underway for made in america festival in philadelphia big crowd are expect. "eyewitness news" reporter steve paterson is along ben franklin parkway with more on what we all can expect at the event's fourth year, steve. >> ukee, only in philadelphia, can one of the biggest inner city music festivals in the country be called a dry run but that is exactly what city officials are labeling this labor day weekend, ahead of the pope's visit because they are using some of the information that they get from 70,000 flooding the parkway to an estimated 1.5 million in about three weeks and we asked the deputy mayor just how they will do. major music festival or precursor to the pope, city officials, they see it as both. >> this year it will be sold out, to a higher number. it is 70,000 people. >> reporter: for fourth year the made in america festival is taking over the the parkway and it is bigger than ever. 70,000 people each day,

on a hot, humid day like this, water is a necessity but one northeast philadelphia neighborhood water was no where to be found inside homes for most of the day. this is due to a massive water main break. "eyewitness news" reporter greg argos has latest on this. >> reporter: this is not a river, rather the 3800 block of chalfont drive-in northeast philadelphia. >> we started pumping out. >> reporter: that is neighbor bill mitchell who woke up to the racket and growing sinkhole around 6:00 this morning. >> best description was, standing there and this is equivalent to the delaware river running out of your street right now. >> reporter: bill rushed to move his car. >> the news is knocking out everything. >> reporter: philadelphia water department rush to fix the problem this sinkhole large enough to swallow an entire carries the the result of the small piece of pipe which you can tell was completely ruptured. >> 8-inch main that was blown and they should have taken it out, old main out.

>> reporter: water department quickly repaired it and had water restored to the 60 homes affected by 2:00 this afternoon. >> they just replacing it with about a little over 5 feet of pipe. >> reporter: in northeast philadelphia, greg argos with cbs-3 "eyewitness news". search is on for two men wanted for an attack. you can see a man here about to walk in the liquor store on east erie avenue last month when two strangers started punching him. they got him to the ground, kick him and continued hitting him. a few seconds later they just walk away. victim suffered cuts but otherwise, he is okay. but just an unbelievable story to tell but from north jersey, day care workers go to court accused of making four and six years old fight with each other. what is more they allegedly video taped it. this all happened at the light bridge academy in cranford. day care worker chenis white and erika kenney pleaded not guilty. they say video shows children fighting made reference to the

>> reporter: over 300,000 people have attempted the trip this year and more than 2,000 have paid with their lives. but it is these images of island curty that has finally brought the tragedy home to people in europe, and hit the conscious of european leaders. holy williams, cbs news, on the turkey/syria border. a deadly fire down the shore that killed a family has been ruled a murder suicide. fire fighters found four bodies inside long branch monmouth county home early wednesday morning. now prosecutor say linden beharry shot his partner and seven and four year-old sons. he set the fire before shooting himself. no word on a motive. the ntsb will meet next week to review what caused the plane crash that killed seven people, including well known philanthropist lewis katz. the his private jet burst into flames after skidding off the runway at massachusetts airport in may 204.
