music lovers rocked out all day and into the the night at the made in america, festival and it is not over just yet. a look ahead at the line up. it has been perfect weather this holiday weekend but we are expecting some heat, to creep in, kyla has more on when these high temperatures will hit. most people thought it would be a sure thing but chip kelly had other ideas, tim tebow will not be playing for the eagles this season. we will tell you why he didn't make the cut. it is sunday september 6th, good morning, so glad you are with us, i'm nicole brewer, it is 8:00 o'clock. speak of made in america and folks rock aring out all night long, someone was forced to do it against their will. not the that she didn't enjoy it. >> queen b kept me up. >> when you work on the morning show you go to bed at

yes, i think mother nature does like beyonce because you can tell it will be a gorgeous day. last night 50,000 people packed into the made in america festival ground for day one and social media is any indication, it was a success and right now if you look around there are clean up crews preparing for day two, evidence that last night was one to remember. concert goers danced in the streets to performances on five stages with dozens of acts including d ela soul, meek meek million and beyonce. security was tight and very visible and day went, without incident with the exception of the minor disruption when special guest nicki minaj took the the stage and folks rush forward but luckily there were no injuries. the from the city's perspective the sold out concert was a test for city in advance of the papal visit later this month. parkway enhancements include better cell service and

help sit prepare for papal visit that is almost upon us, three weeks until holy fat's lives. stay with "eyewitness news" and cbs philly.com for very latest. we have a full guide to help you plan for that historic event. switching gears now tinicum township police officer is in the hospital this morning after he was stabbed. it happened around 8:30 last night in south philadelphia. it happened in the parking lot of the holiday inn on packer avenue. police say officer was performing a courtesy transport when a male passenger pulled a knife and stabbed that officer in the arm. police arrested the passenger, the officer is expect to survive. rutgers university has dismiss $5 football players arrested this week, andre boggs, peel, barnwell, gross, and delon stevenson have been kick off the team. boggs and form player are charge in the new brunswick home invasion that happened in april. the two and other players are also accused of another home invasion in may. some players are also charged with assaulting a group of people back in april.

eagles roster has been finalized and one name was conspicuously absent, backup quarterback tim tebow, after eagles traded matt barclay to the arizona cardinals it appears to pave way for tebow to be the third string quarterback but chip kelly had other plans. kelly cut tebow trimming rosters down to 52 players which is one fewer then the maximum 53 allowed. tebow out played barclay during the the preseason and you ended up on a high net begins new york jets. he threw for 189-yard and two touchdowns but even that could not save a spot on the roster. >> we had an offer for a trade format the math that was the the best possible scenario in that situation, and then we felt like we didn't feel like he was good enough good as you might guess philly fans after lot to guess about chip's decision that he made yesterday. we caught up with a few of them at chickie and pete's.

carter evans tells us fire officials there are fining better ways to fight these massive fires when they break out. the day seems calm when smoke and flames appeared from a wild fire rage nothing california sierra national forest but one minute is all it takes for conditions to quickly deteriorate. this rare view is captured by flame resistant equipment, inside of the wild fire. >> what we are seeing is actual heat front. >> reporter: fire behavior analyst dennis burns says what is especially alarming about this video is how the wind picks up, significantly. blowing embers, and spreading flames in all directions. >> that is an indication of the wind actually generated by the fire. >> fire is creating its own wind there. >> this equipment could tell thaw. >> yes. >> karl uhl lead fire service behavior assessment team which is gathering data a to see first hand the destructive fire power of these flames.
