>> stop looking at that, justin. >> i was always bummed going back to l scores the end of the summer, but it will be a warm one, tough to go into school today when still dealing with summer weather, you may want to be outside, hang at the pool. cranking out these 09 agree days. we hit 09 degrees, day one of our sixth heatwave of the season, average highs 81. that makes it our 35th, 90-degree day. still dealing with some 60s to the north in allentown, wilmington, delaware, also still in the 60s as well as suburbs, mt. holly, new jersey, quakertown, all chilling out mid to upper 60s, now the story the humidity, starting to crank up. dew point temperatures running hi, upper 60s to around 70. that's indicating more tropical air mass, when in the 50's when it is comfortable. not seeing that happening. dry on storm scan3, no threat of any rain today. breaking down your temperatures through the morning, sunshine will quickly go to work. heating up to the mid 80s by

lunchtime. temperatures up around 09 degrees by lunchtime, our daytime high, low 90s for philadelphia, mid 80s down at the shore as well as in the poconos, and stays hot to the middle of the week. also talking about needed rain chances in the forecast. first we hit the roads with meisha. good morning. >> good morning, justin, i just in the dollars your tie matches my dress. >> look at that. >> you got the memo. >> yep. >> good morning, you guys, and welcome back after the labor day weekend. sure was a good one, it was so fast, still dark out, still very early. you can see, it will be light traffic through the 4:00 hour. we will of course now that everyone is kind of back in the swing of things hitting roadways again, we will see level start to increase as we move into the 5:00 hour. vine westbound ramp to the parkway is closed right now. i'll let you know if we see changes on that, be aware of. that will ben franklin bridge, you can see that far right lane moving from jersey into center city now open. so look at this. everyone kind of enjoying that extra lane finally. the ben franklin bridge looking good, so coming from jersey, 95, southbound by the

airport, heads light moving in the southbound direction. you can see looking good, but just kind of steady flow of headlights moving southbound again, that's right around the airport. then i back out of the way so you can see this, made in america festival, so we had a lot of road closures, all scheduled to open today. sometime around 5:00 a.m. of course i will let you know it they do in fact open by 5:00 a.m. erika, over to you. >> thank you. violence erupt overnight if philadelphia's olney neighborhood. an argument ends in gunfire. this morning, one man is fighting for his life and woman is in stable condition. we want to check in with "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch in olney with the latest story. justin, good morning. >> erika, good morning, detective do have a man in custody, more on that coming up. at this hour, police say, another man is fighting for his life as you said. woman is now recovering from being shot four times. let's take you now to video from overnight, at the scene here. police say, several 911 calls came in to them overnight.

report of two people shot, off of fifth and olney. that's where police found 24 year old woman shot four times, twice in her stomach, and twice in her leg. twenty-two year old man was found shot once in his chest. and he was unconscious. witnesses say, this was the end after fight that began inside the bar, that spilled out onto the streets. those victims were taken to einstein medical center. near the scene, police did see a man running from that shooting area. officers did catch up to him on 500 block of elkins, where they saw him throw a way a gun, well, police found the gun and also found him trying to hide. he was later taken in. >> at this time we don't know if, in fact, this is the shooter or one of the shooters. but necessary custody, transport today northwest detective, due to the fact while fleeing from police he he threw a gun down on the highway. >> that suspect again was brought here to northwest

advice for those looking for ticket. you don't need to go to a scalper to get one. hunks of people on ebay and craigslist trying to sell tickets for up to $40. that's four times the phrase value. keep in mind ticket aren't sold out. septa urging those interested in a ticket to just visit their website, pay the standard rate of just $10 for a ticket. >> investigators are trying to find out what caused a crash involving attacks i cab that struck and killed two pedestrians in center city philadelphia. amanda, of phoenixville, and brian body of baltimore, were crossing broad street arch street when the taxi struck them around 4:30 yesterday morning. the driver with the rosemont cab company did stop. >> the good thing here is he didn't lever the scene. so we have a lot more than we would have for all of those that do leave. he did the right thing.

>> the cab driver went to the hospital with chest pains, police say there were no passengers in the cab at the time, no charges had been filed. >> lawyers for the kentucky commercial who refused it issue marriage licenses to same sex couples, has been in jail since last thursday, after she ignored a judge's order to issue a license. she object to same sex marriage for religious reasons. crowds will gather again today outside the jail to show support spore davis. >> minnesota dentist who killed cecil the lion said to return to his dental practice today. walter palmer made headlines when he hunted and killed cecil back in july. palmer still disputes accounts of the african hunt. he maintains the kill was legal in zimbabwe. he said if he had known the lion was important to the country woe not have killed him. president obama has signed an executive order requiring paid sick leave for employees of federal contractors.

>> a major forest fire is burning in burlington county new jersey. chopper three over the scene in woodlands township last night. look at those flames. in is the area of wood mans road route of north 72. that fire has burned over the county line into ocean county. fire crews are working through the night trying to contain it while doing their best to keep it under a thousand acres.

fortunately, there are no homes or structures in danger right now. that fire is about 15% contained. and just so unfortunate, justin, because such a dry day, no rain on the way. not what firefighters need to hear this morning. >> this past month we really haven't had in rain. month of august, one rain officially in philadelphia, so down few inches. so we could use some rain. we have some in the forecast, but nothing coming up today. maybe later tomorrow see some showers. but it will be hot and humid. hot day heading back to school. dealing with our potential heatwave number six of the season, yesterday we did hit 90 degrees, today, we should make it into the lower 90s, still potentially seeing the nine the agree temperatures continuing into wednesday, with a lot of humidity around, so we keep the summer like feel in our forecast, really, up for the next few days. 60s in some of the cool spots, much warmer than yesterday morning. dealing with some 50's, nice start to the labor day, but now different story. 07 degrees in trenton this hour. southwest wind, bringing in the heat and humidity, temperatures along the coast, in the 60s, to lower 70s, the

comfort index, not looking too good. dew point, is pretty high right now. at 67 degrees, you want to be in the 50's, that's when it is comfortable. so feeling steamy right now. that's going to be the trend, eventually, may start to feel oppressive as we head into the region later tonight, and certainly, on wednesday, possibly into thursday, as well. storm scan3, nice and quiet. so again, no threat of any rain. so that's a problem for that wild fire going on. we do have front way to the west over the midwest it, will take its time to get here. when it does it, will bring needed rain in the forecast, again, rain chances at a zero today. we bump it up as we head to wednesday, late in the day, could be isolated shower, storm, better chance thursday, that will be the wettest day with some widespread showers, thunderstorms. dry today, outdoor plans looking good, travel maybe extending holiday weekend one more day, really no issues, into tomorrow, some clouds start to move in. could be isolated shower or storm coming in during the afternoon into the evening hours. but today, lot of sunshine, hot, humid, check it out, 92 degrees for the afternoon
