the woman at the center of the so-called basement of horrors case is back in court. linda ann weston pleaded not guilty last year to a 196-couldn't indictment. now, she's facing a judge for a change of plea hearing. good afternoon, i'm erika von tiehl. pat is on special assignment. right taught "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff live outside federal court in center sit which the latest on

this morning's hearing. alex? >> reporter: erika, linda ann weston has now entered guilty flea all 196 counts against her, in doing society federal government has promised not to seek the death penalty, instead, they have recommended life in prison plus 80 years. now, dow want to say one of the interesting parts about this hearing this morning, is that most of it was spent with the judge trying to determine if miss weston understood what was going on here today and what she has entered this plea for. it was revealed that miss weston only holds a fourth graduate action, she was very soft spoken, almost child like, tough to except when you remember the charges against her in the 2011 case. weston pleading guilty to kidnapping ten people include being six children, that were then held without their will with other, so that they could take social security disability checks, that were coming to them, several were mentally handicapped. several others, also, sold as prostitutes, according to investigators.

police say in the multi state scheme, the victims were treated like zoo animals, two then died, according to police, due to this abuse. now, according to the federal government, this case is the first time that a hate crime statute has been used to protect the mentally disabled. so this case is definitely a ground breaking one, but once again, linda ann weston has pleaded -- entered guilty flea all 196 counts against her, with that the government is hoping that she will spend life in prison plus 80 years. reporting live in old city, alexandria who have hoff. >> right now, turning to the forecast, could this be the ends of our september sizzle? looks like one more day of steamy weather, then hopefully some positive changes. we check in with kyla grogan out on the skydeck. if you like the heat, this is a day for you. >> tell you what, here is a up site. there is a little breeze right now, and boy it is helping. it is heating up fast out here. and we are on track to see another 90 plus degrees day today.

so, mix of sun and clouds today, but hot and humid. that's the story as we go throughout our afternoon. and we can see that that heat index is going to be in the mid 90's, today. and yes, we could see stray thunderstorm as we go throughout the evening tonight. but more rain expected tomorrow. i think that's when we look at the heavier storms. eighty-eight in philadelphia. also 88 degrees in wilmington. check out the feels-like temperatures, they're unbelievable. wilmington right now feels like 98, feels like 95 in philadelphia, so that is really what you feel when you walk out the door. here is the relief coming in the form of cold front, stormy weather ahead of it, see it off to the west now. it is real gig to be showing up as we get into tomorrow. but today a high of 91, if you're in the city, high of 86, if you're down the shore, and 84 in the poconos, again looking out for the stormy weather late he today. so here is a little caveat. fourteen days until fall begins. twenty-five days until the average temperature is 70 degrees, 51 days until halloween, 52 until daylight

off. the gulfstream jet overran the runway, crashed, and caught fire. this happened at a massachusetts airport back in may of 2014. >> as our investigators examined the data about this accident flight, they found that the flight crew routinely neglected performing complete flight control checks. these checks would have identified it was still engaged before taxing the aircraft for take off. >> investigators also placed blame on the design of that gulfstream jet saying it did not provide an unmistakable warning that the plane could not take off safely. >> the taxi company whose driver hit and killed two pedestrians in center city this week had been repeatedly cited for safety violations before this accident. according to state records, rosemont taxi cab has been investigated more than dozen time, deadly accident happened early monday morning, after the made in america festival. police say, 25 year old amanda, of phoenixville, and

flow, that's kind of key to this warmth, that southwesterly flow, helping to usher in all of the warm air. current temperatures right now, 88 in philadelphia, 86 in millville, eight an in allentown, lancaster coming in at about 85 degrees. as i zoom out here, take a look at the region, the heat that's already on here. look at richmond, virginia, 90 degrees, dc, 88, everybody is jumping in on this. lots of sunshine out there. we do have good air quality, so that's good news, pollen level, medium to high. uv index high. this is the one that concerns me, heat index, extreme caution on that one, already feeling like the 90's here, in philadelphia. and we're just getting into our afternoon. all right, so if you take a look at the storm scan3 radar, you can start to see few clouds rolling in, but, most, for the most part, looking at clear skies, but we zoom out, where the the relief is. stormy weather ahead of the colds front, right there, that is going to track toward us. now, when it does, that means, we will see some heat relief, and it also means we will see some rain, and we need rain, since august 1st we've been in a rain deficit.

at you know, i's been very dry, since august 1st, down almost three and a half inches to where we should be this time of year. in fact no measurable rain since august 20th. no measurable rain. as this front tracks toward us, it is not only going to drop the temperatures that help us with some rain, here's 5:00 a.m. thursday. you can see, few showers rolling through. but the bulk of this is in the afternoon, heavy showers come in, about 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. then we start to clear out. things looking much better for us as we head toward the weekend. how much rain? in spots, pretty insignificant. see some of the org ankle and red, see three plus inches, in certain spot, so this could be a good rainmaker for many of us, and, it is also going to cool us down, 81, well over that now, look where we are going toward the weekends, start to see temperatures below average, remember, what that feels like? today though hot, humid, 91 degrees, mix of sun and clouds, tonight, you can see, we could see scattered shower or thunderstorm, low of about 72 degrees, take a look at your seven day forecast, i'm fascinated by the seven day
