"eyewitness news" reporter steve pather on joins us from chester where authorities took suspects into custody, steve. erika, some six hours later the scene here remains quite active. lets get your eyes on and looking back here you can see federal agents most of them now wearing hazmat suits have been combing the scene for hours going in and out of the several homes along the row here in chester. also assisting chester police who have a hole on the scene but i'm told it is an fbi swat team acting on a federal warrant who went in this morning. we spoke to neighbors who heard the shots as they were going in. awoke end by gunfire. >> i woke up to gunshots, and, i looked out window and saw cops outside. >> reporter: fbi sources confirmed to "eyewitness news", an early morning child

porn raid at this raid, at sixth street in chester. one male shot and killed three others taken in custody. the jessica young was about to get her kid, ready for school. >> i have kids and we live a block away. to wake up like that it was scary. >> reporter: neighbors say the home was relatively quiet, in problems before this morning, shocked, to wake up to this. >> it is shocking in the city when i came out the door. taken my kid to school. as to the circumstances, that led to the shooting itself. whether or not there was an exchange of gunfire, that remains under investigation and those fbi sources not yet speaking about what they know so far. as soon as we learn more we will bring you more here, for now we are live in chester, i'm steve paterson for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". also in chester a fire in

stay that way for today but unfortunately we have rain tracking our way for weekend. we have 82 in philadelphia. seventy-eight in down the shore and 74 here in the poconos not bad at all. this is what we're going to see today, decreasing cloud, becoming sunny, we are seeing that happen already. less humid. i like that one. average temperatures which has been a while since we have been saying that. but again we do have a little rain to look out for for the weekend. we will be back in a few moments to time that out and make your plans because i never would like to stay like this for whole weekend but unfortunately not on the dock it. >> all right kyla, see you soon, thank you. u.s. coastguard is still engaged in the search and rescue operation after single engine plane went down off the jersey shore. it crashed 7 miles off atlantic city around 2:45 yesterday afternoon. the faa says that the 68 year-old pilot michael more more had 40 years experience in the cockpit. his moon i m20 plane was flying from gaylord michigan

from atlantic city international. coastguard ships, choppers and dive teams found debris but so far there is no sign of the pilot. fifteen days and counting, we are now just two weeks away from the historic arrival of the pope francis in philadelphia. and officials in montgomery county they are laying out their plans for the papal visit. four septa stations are designated pick up locations. officials expect lots of congestion in those areas so ab wear. county has requested 600 national guard troops to assist with transit and crowd control and security too. county will also activate the the emergency operations center on friday, september 25th and increase staffing at its 911 center. now, in philadelphia, plans for francis fields, talked about this yesterday, they have been cancel. it was supposed to be a campground in east fairmount park for visitors. cities office of emergency management it says it canceled those plans because of a lack of interest. and construction of the papal stage has begun on the

parkway, "eyewitness news" on eakins oval where crews work in the drenches rain, see home in the punchos yesterday. pieces of the stage are truck in on a large pallet. crews are trying to best protect the ground in that area of the parkway. coming up on "eyewitness news", vice-president joe biden talked about whether he will run for president. he sits down with stephen colbert to talk about campaign 2016 and death of his son, beau. and new pictures here from pluto we will tell you why nasa calls them wild and over the top. we will explain when we come right back.

way in the midwest. they are starting another front. not as strong as a front we just dealt with yesterday but still a little will showers as we get throughout the weekend. we will show you kutztown they have more big fluffy cloud out there too. 73 degrees. pretty nice day. little breeze. air feels very fresh compared to yesterday my goodness compared to yesterday. 76 degrees in philadelphia. seventy-four atlantic city. sixty-five in mount pocono. we are back to the average temperatures again. if you go out to baseball tonight great night for it. first game double header. 80 degrees. that is about 5:00 o'clock time. lovely evening. second game should be around 8:00. 78 degrees is what we are looking at wind are light, beautiful baseball weather. that is good timing for a double header. but we are going to see rain chances in the weekend. you can see here saturday, sunday where trouble spots are. in particular saturday afternoon. the let's take a look at future weather, that is friday at 11:00 p.m. beautiful night to enjoy it.

here we are saturday at 4:00 p.m., and we will start to see showers kicking up, storms coming in, there could be downpours there and we could clear out. we could see spotty showers throughout our sunday. if you are heading to the shore not the most spectacular shore weekend. temperatures very mild in the 70's, saturday afternoon when we have to look out and sunday we could see spotty showers coming in and going. we will see a much cooler pattern over next five or six days. you'll notice temperatures in the 70's on sunday and monday, that is highs. below average of 83. back to the 80's on tuesday and it will be pretty nice, next week we will start off with sunshine. today enjoy the day less humid, cloud will continue to decrease as we go throughout the day, we will keep that breezing too. sixty-five for your overnight tonight, very comfortable. i'm thinking dinner outside tonight could be a good thing. yeah, i heard my floor director dianne says she likes that. watch what happens in the weekend. rosh hashanah coming in sunday
