>> i like where we're going. we are saying rain can be an excuse to stay home, chill out. >> cozy up on the couch. >> so maybe get your stuff done this morning, then head out, head inside, enjoy the afternoon today. we are going to look out for some stormy weather, interesting, also will cool us down. cold front will be tracking by us, so, let's get to it, talk about where we are right now, taking live look at the neighborhood network, you can see, temperatures in the 60s, all the way from new castle at 66, millville, 62, doylestown little cooler, 60 degrees, bensalem coming in at 6a live look at center city where little warmer than. that will 07 degrees already, little moisture in the air, you can see the humidity is at 87%. humidity tends to be higher in the morning, as well. that will probably ramp downgoing through the day. this is our problem as we take a look at storm scan3, our skies are relatively clear now. you see the clouds moving in from the western part of the state, even part of the state starting to see some of this rain. and that stormy weather will be sliding toward us, too. so, looking out for some afternoon storm, high of 81 degrees, in philadelphia. at the shore about 78.

you too will see the stormy weather f we take a look at the poconos, just 70 degrees for you today. starting off foggy in the poconos, too, not getting too warm. so, our headlines, thunderstorms this afternoon, we are going to improve for sunday. see little rain the first part of sunday. but i think the second part will be great. then hello seven's, are you ready for this, everybody? very column sunday, monday, highs just in the 70s. we will talk about the other side of the weekend when i come back in a few moments with your seven day forecast. nicole. >> kyla, thank you. this morning, police are searching for the driver who hit an officer on a motorcycle, and kept ongoing. the hit-and-run happened at the intersection of fourth street and morton avenue in chester. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff outside crozer-chester hospital where the officer is recovering. >> still not sure of the extent of the offers officer's injuries, but we are told he will be okay. this is 15 year veteran of the force, he spent much of him time pursuing hit-and-run cases just like this one. chester police officer daniel

hoffman was on his way back to headquarters yesterday afternoon when authority say that his harley davidson police vehicle was possibly cut off, and hit, causing him to be thrown. it happened around 3:00 p.m., right near harrah's casino here in chester. police say that the driver then sped off. investigators tell us, these hit-and-run cases are specially frustrating because of how little evidence is typically left at the scene. but, now for them now to have description of the vehicle, chester's mayor, along with police commissioner, joseph bail, returned to the scene. >> those motorcycles are full size harley davidson's. now, you can't miss the fact of the lights and everything on that motorcycle. >> bike went over. it went about 30 to 40 yards down from where he ended up on the highway. >> obviously that officer is lucky to be recovering this morning. police are now searching for a late 90s model pontiac, possibly a grand prix. maybe burgundy or red in color

with a green hood or trunk. anyone with any information should contact chester police. reporting live in chester, alexandria hoff, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> alex, thanks for the update. also in chester, child pornography raid turns deadly. agents serving warrant in the 600 block every highland avenue, early yesterday morning, authority say when they entered that home, a man pulled a gun, and shots were fired. that man was killed. three other suspect were taken into custody. philadelphia police have charged the suspects connected to the shooting death of pregnant woman last year. twenty-six year old marquis martin charged and shooting for killing 25 year old jasmine williams while she was pregnant. already serving jail sentence for another crime. that shooting happened in september of last year. jasmine williams unborn child died. a 25 year old man was also shot. he survived. martin will now be charged with two count of murder, and attempted murder. well, police are asking for help locating a missing couple from east goshen

township. seventy-six year old dominick jampo and his wife, 77 year old barbara jampo live in a retirement community. the couple's son said he last had contact with his parent yesterday morning when they were leaving for the grocery store. they should be traveling in a silver lexus suv. that couple is not traveling with a cell phone, and there has been no bank cardiac tiff at this. dominick is diabetic and insulin dependent. anyone with information is asked to call police. >> well, commemorations on the 14th anniversary of 9/11 in new york. last night however there were several interruptions to the annual tribute and light. beams had to be turned off intermittently because they were attracting thousands of birds. the audubon society say the bird get captivated by the light circling them for hours and sometimes crashing into windows. all right, well, earlier in the day the world pause today mark the anniversary. cbs's jim axelrod shows us how they honored the victims of the terror attacks in new york, washington, d.c. and

reporting. in bucks county, a service was held to honor and remember the pennsylvania victim of 9/11. "eyewitness news" reporter diana rocco has more from the garden of reflection in lower makefield. >> the fountains have stopped at bucks county's memorial garden on the evening of september 11. the community remembers the 18 bucks county victims killed 14 years ago. as the sunset in lower makefield, their names were red. >> lorraine, united aligns, flight 93. >> in moment of tragedy and crisis, there is no better place to turn than to our god. >> hundreds lit candles, and said a prayer for the victims and their families, remembering their sacrifice. the names of all of the nearly 3,000 victims, are etched in the memorial. >> we just pray that everybody remembers this day. >> jamie stein and her husband felt it important to

>> video released about blake being arrested. now police are apologizing for the take down. hena daniels reports. >> video released friday by the nypd shows james black leaning outside a pole outside of the grand hyatt hotel when sudden lay plane clothes police officer runs up, grabs his arm, and forces him to the ground. >> as the video continues, the officer put his knee in the former tennis player's back, while he plays z -- places handcuffs on him. people walk by, paying little attention to the arrest. police say the officers were

clerk says a man chained by authority for possible ties to string every freeway sheetings was a regular customer who never caused problems. phoenix police swarmed that store yesterday, arrested that man, he was booked last night on unrelated charges. there are also indication that is different people are responsible for the shooting. eleven vehicles have been shot, since august 29th. a small plane caring the film crew of a movie starring tom tom cruz crashed, killing two people aboard and injuring a third. it happened in a small town in columbia. officials say the twin engine aero star ran into bad weather friday after taking off. crews, trained pilot, arrived in columbia last month, film that movie called maina. about pilot who worked for the late cocaine pin. >> mass wife wild fire threatening entire northern california town, burning in san andries about hour southeast of sacramento. resident in the town before 2700 people are on alert, to be ready to evacuate if needed. the wild fire grew from few

cloudy. that will will help to keep us cool today. storm scan3, shows we're not doing too badly now, but this is our problem. as i start to zoom out. we have storms ahead of cold front, tracking across, so, good news is we dent have any severe storm. so not looking too bad. but it is going to bring us some rain as we get into our afternoon. so hour by hour, shows you the clouds are increasing, already seeing that happening this morning. that will continue into the afternoon. then expect those showers to show up out, expect them about the 1:00, 2:00 time frame. temperatures staying keeping lid on them about 81 degrees for our high today. so we start it off with a little bit of sun peaking through today. clouds increase. some afternoon rain, average temperatures, the average this time of year, right at the 08 degrees mark. so we'll be right there. so this is the set up. we've got cold front. it will be tacking across, you see the other one provided all of the storms earlier this week, that one off shore. some stormy weather ahead of it, as we get to sunday morning, little bit after back side on this storm, so we could see some spotty showers continue, but then we clear out. look at this, gorgeous, as we get into monday, high pressure takes over, we get the

sunshine back. it will be quite nice. average high about 80 degrees this year. as we go through the weekends, the cool down is coming. we'll see 70s, sunday, monday, then back into those low 80s, as we head into tuesday, wednesday. by the way some amazing sunshine coming our way. if you are headed to the shore today, make sure you know, there is moderate rip countries being along the new jersey beaches, so please be careful. if you are out there, it is not a great beach day. admittedly. high of about 78 degrees, today, water temperatures not bad, though, mid 70s, and we start off cloudy, you, too, will see some showers as we they had throughout the day. tomorrow, cloudy, cool, i think shower early, and high of about just 76 degrees. so, little warmer than that today. if you're in philadelphia, we will see afternoon rain, but high of 81 degrees. as we get into tonight, stormy showers, start tapering off late. low of about 64 degrees. and then, here is your seven day forecast. it is a cool one. sunday, no monday, temperature sums up cool. then sunshine, i like the thumbs-up cool for. that will low 08 that's, even

few. they'll take the stage at 5:15 p.m. on sunday. in the world of traffic, part of septa's 101 trolley and west trenton lines will be bussing on both saturday and sunday this weekend. so make sure to check your local listings, and schedules, the 101 bussing because after water department work and philadelphia pride day festivities saturday, and then the west trenton line is bussing due to some construction. >> also, the dance on the falls bridge event is this saturday, from eight p.m. to midnight. so the falls bridge will be closed during that time. then on sunday, main street manayunk is closed on sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. due to the popular fall street festival. >> finally, the thompson bike race in doylestown arts festival will kick off sunday, come and watch the world class bicycle race on famous race course. riders will be flying around the 1.3-mile race course with racing precision. and who doesn't have a need for speed? i sure do.

china jousting gee, seen here charged with four counts of wire fraud in may. chairman of temple's physics department until he was arrested. accused of taking gown piece of technology to share with china in return for money and prestige. this man, liam watson, will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for sexually abusing five young boys on his team. a judge sentenced the former youth football coach to 114 to 228 years behind bars. he was a part time coach for the rhawnhurst raiders, and created a team called the little vicks. which prosecutors say he used to lure boys from his neighborhood. watson also abused developmentally delayed adult, who worked as that team's water boy. well, the coast guard sus pence it search for missing pilot whose small plane crashed off the coast of atlantic city. radio transmissions reveal air traffic control lost contact with 68 year old michael moore for two hours, after he took off from gaylord michigan. the unusual behavior forced nor add to scramble 2f16

visit will disrupt the holiest day of the jewish calendar, yom kippur. >> yom kippur the holiest day of the jewish calendar it, occurs us to night, september september 22, ands wednesday, september 23rd. it is a fast day, a day for forgiveness, and it is the one day of the year that almost all jews are in synogogue. >> he fired off this strongly worded letter to mayor nutter on friday, voicing concerns from philadelphia's jewish community, with the city announcing towing enforcement beginning on september 20th, inside the traffic box, and he's concerned that congregants wouldn't be able to park at synogogues within restricted areas. >> number one, it will be eliminating on street parking, and number two, it will be forcing neighborhood resident to fill up all of the available parking lots. so the plans that conure gants may have about how they'll get to synogogues are totally disrupted. >> mayor nutter has announce that resident within the secure zones will need to move their vehicles, or face towing. most vehicles will need to be

moved by sunday september 20th, but if you have a 20-dollar plaque adder to park in a ppa garage, you will have until thursday september 24th to move your vehicle. still, many in the jewish community, are hoping that parking restrictions can be deferred in light of the jewish holiday. >> the only solution that i can see is that they defer the off-street rule until thursday. >> we have been able to speak with someone from the mayor's office, and they tell us that preliminarilly they only found one synogogue within the row strict dollars their would be affected. however, they're going to make sure that all of the synogogues in the city are working with the ppa to make sure that if they're hosting services on yom kippur, they are exempt from any casino every towing enforcement, they have some casino of plaque ardon their cars identifying who they are. in spring garden, natasha brown, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". city and tourism leaders are working over time to make sure people know that hotel rooms are still available for the papal event. mayor nutter took to the
