more on the final preps. greg? >> reporter: ukee, good evening. in fact you can see the ben franklin parkway right here the inner lanes already closed in fact that is a jumbo tron one of the many that will line the parkway for pope francis' event on saturday and sunday but we've just learned from philadelphia police the outer lanes the ones you see right here with these vehicles traveling on them right now will close starting at 6am tomorrow just the latest step in preparation for pope francis' arrival. just about one week until pope francis is in philly. >> i'm ready for it to be over. >> i think it's pretty cool. >> i will not be anywhere near here. >> reporter: even as day turned dark construction of the papal stage and altar still in full swing along the parkway. and what is without port o potties both lining the chestnut street here the wall net street bridges waiting for their final destinations all throughout the

break ins in south jersey. this week the burglars were caught on camera stealing from a truck in sewell, gloucester county. "eyewitness news" reporter diana rocco has the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: a rash of cars, shed and home break ins washington township has police issuing a warning. >> i would just encourage the community, one torque lock their cars, lock their doors. mack sure their garage door is closed protect their property they work hard for. report roar since august, 51 cars, 19 sheds and sick homes have been broken into. so far police have made two arrests. leaving them with hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in unclaimed valuables. rings, watches, cell phones, gps devices and electronics. just this week, two of the burglars were caught on home surveillance video stealing tools from a pickup truck parked in a driveway on haddock drive in sue well around thee am monday. the two males looked to be in their late teens or early 20'ss. >> they look to be pretty comfortable. they looked to be quiet at ease.

minutes after he was arrived. he was almost cut completely in half. the doctor was able to help talon thanks to an i pad and technology called tele medicine. >> it's a secure way of obtaining expert ease at a moment's notice. >> reporter: about an hour later, talon was in a helicopter on his way to dupont in wilmington where he underwent a nine-hour surgery. he continues to come back to wilmington for therapy with his mom alicia wilson. she still thinks about that day talon was run over. >> my first reaction was i thought he was dead. >> she tells "eyewitness news" her son has defied all odds. >> it's a miracle. >> the angels are with him that day. >> you save the day! >> talon's case unfortunately is common. according to the consumer product safety commission, more than 17,000 kids and teens are injured each year in similar accidents. that's almost 50 a day. wool stone wants to see more safety information available to the public. she's already started a public awareness campaign hoping to save other kids from her son's

a3. the company faces more than $18 billion in fines. when you buy something with lifetime warranty you might expect it's going to last a lifetime. but as three on your side consumer reporter jim donovan explains customers and retailers do not always agree on definition of lifetime. >> reporter: jimmy didn't expect his blinds to last forever but he did expect he'd be able to get them fixed as long as he owned them. after all, they came with a limited lifetime warranty. >> when i saw lifetime, i thought hey this is great deal. i'll buy this blind and i cannot have to worry about for lifetime ownership. >> reporter: when jim knee contacted just blinds about broken blinds he got a surprise. that lifetime warranty was only good for five years. whereas this e-mail explains the lifetime of the average blind. he had his for seven. >> it was kind of deceit full to me. >> i think the company had a deceptive warranty. the warranty itself you can't call a warranty lifetime and

then in the fine print say we define lifetime as five years. that's five year warranty. not a lifetime warranty. >> reporter: edward, founder of consume mr. world.org says the term limited lifetime warranty simply means you may have to have to pay to have the product shipped for service or the warranty is limited to the original owner. if the company uses the term lifetime they have to define whose lifetime they mean. >> federal trade economic has a rouleau about lifetime warranties. they basically require retailers to disclose their definition of what lifetime means. and that's key for the consumer. so there's no ambiguity. >> reporter: they're covered if quote service is ever needed but there's a second three-year warranty description buried several clicks deep in every product description. just blinds couldn't say whether that was there when jimmy bought his blinds but he's now looking for carefully at all warranties to avoid being blind sided.

sunday morning. otherwise 71 right now at the airport. 63 in allentown. it's skate degrees in trenton and let's watch that front progress toward the area. notice into tomorrow morning, we start the day with a good deal of sunshine a few pat cheese clouds here and there. the front is just lurking off to the west saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. and then we've got this sneaky little storm trying to move up the coast but the good news is as that front comes through sunday morning temp generally dry, a few clouds can't rule out sprinkle. does it pick up this storm and it takes it out to sea. so 2:00 p.m. sunday looking at more sunshine. high pressure rebuilds across the region you'll get what's kind of a pressure gradient known as wind from high to low pressure the wind comes in out of the north and east here and that breeze is what's going to make it feel pretty cool as we head into the start of next we week. so the cooler air returns. with northeast wind especially monday and tuesday. the jet stream dives south and we're finally talking about a hint of fall in the forecast as we head into especially the start of next week. which coincidentally for the last two days of summer but definitely going to feel little
