will be there. see you in philadelphia. >> and the pope will see many things while he is here in philadelphia. the preparation for that visit of course hitting it peak this week. cherri gregg from sister station "kyw news radio" 1006 live for us on the parkway this morning with more on the preparations, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, nicole. yes, philadelphia parking authority will begin towing cars in designated areas tonight and for those resident living in and around the parkway, the question is: how do you avoid those dreaded tow trucks? take a look at the individual joe we have for you. as you can see, the signs are been posted and resident have been warned for several days, and beginning at 6:00 p.m., cars parked in the area around the ben franklin parkway from the art museum to 12th street will be towed. then on monday, tuesday, and wednesday, more towing north, south and east of the parkway, and along emergency routes. resident in these tow areas

must book a space at one of six designated parking garages, those who have a residential permit can park therefore free. those who don't have to pay 20 bucks for that privilege. in exchange, for booking the space, the parking authority will give resident a permit that exempts them from towing through thursday when those garages open. of course, much of this towing that will happen today is to make room for dozens of jumbo tron screens, 100-foot archway, platforms, and other construction necessary for sound towers, and stages, needed for the musical performances on saturday and sunday, scott runs ems productions, group charged with september. they produce big events, involving the dalai lama, and jay-z, and they say this event with pope francis is the biggest yet. >> we've done some pretty large event, but this is definitely the largest event, has the most moving parts.

bryant. we know that much. but the eagles hoping to avenge last week's tough loss to the atlanta falcons, more on today's big game, huge match up, i know, my house is excited, we will be watching, that's coming up next in sports. right now, though, two alarm fire burns through home in ridley township. this is "eyewitness news" video, take end by timothy, of the fire broke out shortly after 8:00 last night on the 400 block of ohio avenue. it took several hours for firefighters gain the upper hand there, but the good news is no one was injured. the search is on for the gunman who shot and killed a man as he was getting out of his car in frankford. this happened on the 4,000 block of east cheltenham avenue just before 2:00 saturday afternoon. police say the 41 year old victim was shot several times. he was rushed to the area health torresdale hospital in extremely critical condition, and died a short time later. >> authority are working to track down the owner of grenades, that forced evacuation after kensington thrift store saturday morning. this happened at the village thrift store on the 2900 block

9-millimeter handgun. police say the gun is linked to the crimes. merit denied any involvement in court yesterday. >> all i have to say is that i am the wrong guy. i tried telling the detectives that. my gun's been in the pawn shop for the last two month. i haven't even had access to a weapon. >> now, merit told the judge he cannot afford the bonn. the only person injured in the shooting was a 13 year old girl hurt by flying glass. >> well, group of storm chasers catch a tornado on camera. these people, man, they are crazy. the twister spotted near the town of paola, kansas, you can see the tornado forming there, not huge twister, so didn't cause too much damage. still anybody who is willing to run toward a tornado? >> you know the tough thing in that that part of the country, highways are limited. your options are i am willed to go east, west, north, south. so you can get in trouble pretty quick. very dangerous thing to do. >> putting your life on the line, too. >> i like seeing the videos just like everybody else. >> we just like watching it. >> careful out there.

i am happy to say we don't have to talk about any dangerous weather today. in fact, the clouds that we see out there, they are headed out. already starting to head out little bitment taking live look at our spring garden camera. you see pretty decent cloud cover out there right now. this is the direction that i am kinds of seeing the clouds mostly in. but, we will start to break up as we get throughout the day today. we will be doing much better by the time it is the afternoon, everybody. so, hang in there. this, too, shall pass. temperatures though will be little cooler, now, that we've seen, today those clouds though will dissipate. less humidity coming our way too. so there is upside. very clear but cool night ahead. and fall-like feel to the week ahead. so it will feel little differently than we've had it feel certainly dealing with all of the 90's, currently 71 degrees in philadelphia, about 66 lancaster, 56 in mount pocono, and 66 down in wildwood. we zoom in here, say good morning to quakertown, 64 degrees for you, six a pottstown, and hello mt. holly. happy sunday to you. 68 degrees for you right now. storm scan3, showing that we do have some clouds cover. and just a remnants of the

stormy weather ahead of the cold front that's been tracking through. it is not going to cause any problems for us today. other than keep us little cloudy starting off our morning, that too shall pass, until the afternoon, expect the clouds to trick on out and move on out and give us pretty nice afternoon when it is all said and done. how much, do have some problems this morning, that is little fog, not quite as bad as yesterday, but see in dover, there at about .8 after mile. huge improvement in wildwood. atlantic city airport down to zero visibility at one appointment so much better for you too. in fact, live look at cape may, neighborhood network there is was really socked n you can see, how the fog has dissipated and now we can see the sun come up here. our 69 degrees, so, that's going to be the trend. we will get better going throughout the day. so bit of foggy socked in morning for some of you moderate rip current ricks, it will be appealing from the morning, so you may find yourself there out at the shore, enjoying the sunshine, and we have this afternoon, but careful because we do have the rip currents risk. notice though we are going to see temperatures cool down at the shore.

at the airport. >> as he stepped down to cuban soil, pope francis received a heroes welcome. complete with flowers, trumpets, and cannons. at the airport francis emphasized his dedication to renewed us cuba relations, i encourage those in power to continue down this road, he said, it is a road he helped open. after hosting secret meetings between the us and cuba at the vatican. cubans said they praised the poach for his role. >> i want to thank him for that, because he brought back unity, she said. the 79 year old devout catholic received communion from pope john paul ii, during his 1998 trip to cuba. what was that moment like for you? indescribable, she said, there are no words. her new dream, special moment, got her chance when pope left in his pope mobile.
