little bit of rain to deal with this morning to the north and west. we go to lehigh valley, berks county. some light rain shooting in from the south, not a big deal, and this should pass through over the next couple hours. you can see around philadelphia, south jersey into delaware, nice and dry, looks like most of our commute this morning does look good. 65 at the airport. 50s in allentown, reading, rain cool there to deal with, similar numbers. 57 in quakertown, 56, doylestown, here's what to expect today. clouds should see a little sunshine especially during the afternoon, still cool on the breezy side. we do clear out tonight. and looks like a nicer start to the fall season. we're actually going to warm things up tomorrow. through the day today, overcast skies, hold in the mid upper 60's lunch hour low 70's afternoon highs tap off into the mid 70's around philadelphia, heading up to the shore, breezy day with the clouds, up in the mountains, chance nor that morning shower around for the next few hour, and we clear for the afternoon, temperature in the upper 60's.

that way. over. 5:35. another business impacted by papal visit. money watcher jill wagner joins us now with that and more. good morning. >> good morning, wall street started the week in positive territory. the dow jumped 125 points, the nasdaq rose almost two. lower open note today. home sales fell last month after three straight months of gains. national association of realtors, sales dropped five percent in august. part of the reason is that the average price of a home is on the rise. macy's is getting ready to her for the holidays. the retailer going to be bringing on about 85,000 seasonal workers about the same as last year. cole also plans to hire about 65,000 workers this season, up slightly. for anyone out there pray forgot apple's newest iphone get ready to wait a little longer.

ups is warning customers in new york and philly expect delays because of the pope's upcoming visit. there will be in pick ups or deliveries in certain areas of philly on friday and saturday of the that's when the iphone comes out. >> we made it this long. weekend wait few more days. right? jill? >> absolutely. i mean, unfortunately, if you're expecting to use your new iphone camera to take pictures of the pope, you'll have to as you have with the old one. >> have great day. get your headlines ahead of pope francis' visit this week, the world meeting of families conference begins this afternoon with a ribbon cutting meehan the pope will depart cuba for washington, dc today, and philadelphia schools announce they will be closed this coming monday as the city begins cleaning up from the huge event. part of the pope's sunday schedule includes a visit to prisoners in the northeast. the pontiff will visit 80 women and 20 men on state road.

in an exclusive "eyewitness news" exclusive, pat ciarrocchi traveled to that prison where she met the women who will meet with the pope. >> i've never met anyone that didn't seem like they didn't have any kind of judge meant in the back of their mind. that's ground breaking. >> many inmates will be joined by their families when the pope visits sunday, we will broadcast that prison visit live as part of our papal coverage all weekend long. when the pope touches down here in philadelphia this weekend, bishop schon man high school marching band will greet him way very special performance. i have just about 84 students part of this school's marching band. i don't think they've been up this early for very long time unless they're craming for a test but they're excited and preparing. it's a good thing, because what they're playing is the first thing that pope francis is going to hear once he steps off the plane in philadelphia. we're joined by katie hershey, she's the drum major. she has a very important job. are you nervous at all for it know? >> i feel in the band, very proud of what we've accomplished in the past, you know, few months, we've had to rehearse and i'm just very excited. it's going to be an incredible opportunity. >> are you going nervous when you see the holy father walking down the steps, a little bit. >> reporter: i'll let you get set for one last preparation. when i talk to you the band director here this is chuck keating such an exciting time for the kids. how have they been preparing. >> rehearsing real hard, great experience for them and me. it's great now they're actually practicing they have something to look forward to.

even some nuns who will be in town for the world meeting of families. everyone is pitching in. since the school opened seven years ago, 700 students have been using a classroom converted to a gym. >> our recess time kids are playing in a small area but they don't have equipment to play with really or slides or anything fun to play with. this is really a dream come true for our students, we've been waiting and fund-raising for many years, to build a facility for a gym. >> it's final happening. that playground will cost about $70,000. community groups and fund-raising is footing most of the bill. not everyone is sticking around for the pope's visit this weekend. also it is irish weekend in wildwood. temple university billy designed a t-shirt. try to get this lined up for you so you can read it. it reads the pope came to philly but i went to irish fest wildwood 2015. hard to read. if you're interested, he's

tonight comfortably cool. 59 for center city. cooler in the suburbs. looking ahead to the weekend for that papal visit saturday. probably the best day, breezy at 74. sunday could be rain, that moved in, we're going to watch the storm system to the south. until then, pretty nice, warming up, 70's to near 80, keep it dry through the end of the work week. meisha how is that traffic looking. >> traffic looking good, justin, good morning to you and all of you at home. if you're waking up with us, grabbing that first cup coffee taking a peak at our roadway, things looking good, i've been watching since the 4:00 hour, levels slowly starting to build as we would expect they would, as we push towards 4:00 on tuesday, schuylkill eastbound at girard. you can see plane of headlights out there but the overnight construction projects are swiftly getting off the roadways, which is a good sign. the schuylkill looking great. everyone traveling at posted speeds, the boulevard looking good. the boulevard southbound as you approach the schuylkill starting to build as well, you can see plenty of headlights already at

this early hour, again, that's what we would expect on a busy tuesday morning, one of our busyier travel days, here's a look at the vine on the ben franklin parkway. running across slightly moving in the eastbound and westbound direction looking good on the vine, plenty of taillights out there. you can see no construction, no accidents there, just levels building as you would expect. the pope is coming on ben franklin parkway between logan square, 19th and race and eakin's oval until next tuesday, erika over to you. a hospital in pennsylvania is suspending organ transplant operations following a deadly mold outbreak. three transplant patients in pittsburgh died from fungal infections. the cbc is investigating a and a team will be at the hospital later on to look into this matter. u p m c says search forgot the source has been challenging and tedious. >> we've been tirelessly culturing everything possible. hundreds of culturing around the clock. had we found something, we would

on cbs3. and we still have no limits on carbon pollution which can lead to more asthma attacks in children but senator toomey has voted repeatedly to let polluters keep releasing unlimited carbon pollution into the air. and took more than one million dollars from the polluters. tell senator toomey to vote for the clean power plan, because unlimited pollution shouldn't be a right. but playing outside should be.

lehigh valley and berks county. on storm is scan three light rain, not causing a whole lot of problems, from lancaster, should last maybe couple more hours, otherwise, just overcast skies around this morning, keeping the temperatures pretty much uniform, not much change from philadelphia on south and east. we're on the lower and maybe mid 60, 57 cooler to the north and quakertown and do you also do you also, 58 in pottstown this morning, we still have that wind out of the north and northeast. that's going to remain in play, really for the next several days, so that keeps humidity levels very low, and temperatures a little bit above average today. we are waking up cloudy skies, maybe sunshine this afternoon, overall cool and breezy day. tomorrow the sunshine rareness, it will be a nice start to the fall season and forecast tonight, mid 70's around philadelphia, low 70's breezy at the shore 60's. with a little rain this morning in the poconos, we'll talk about a warmup in the seven-day in a few minutes. let's go back
