i have just about 84 students part of this school's marching band. i don't think they've been up this early for very long time unless they're craming for a test but they're excited and preparing. it's a good thing, because what they're playing is the first thing that pope francis is going to hear once he steps off the plane in philadelphia. we're joined by katie hershey, she's the drum major. she has a very important job. are you nervous at all for it know? >> i feel in the band, very proud of what we've accomplished in the past, you know, few months, we've had to rehearse and i'm just very excited. it's going to be an incredible opportunity. >> are you going nervous when you see the holy father walking down the steps, a little bit. >> reporter: i'll let you get set for one last preparation. when i talk to you the band director here this is chuck keating such an exciting time for the kids. how have they been preparing. >> rehearsing real hard, great experience for them and me. it's great now they're actually practicing they have something to look forward to.
