developing right now at noon, safety concerns on the campus of temple university. after several violent robberies, the last ones just last night. a girl was sexually assaulted during that attack. good afternoon, everyone, i'm pat ciarrocchi. >> i'm erika von tiehl. right now police are looking for surveillance video that may help them solve these vicious attacks. the most recent happened right off temple's campus on the 1400 block of carlisle street. "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter joins us now at

the scene with the developing details. walt? >> just off campus here the 1400 block of carlisle, here when the 20 year old temple student returning to her home after a night at the library was viciously attacked. special victims unit investigators out here all morning, looking for video and any clues that could lead to the suspects. >> special victims unit investigators carefully search for possible evidence, after a 20 year old temple university student was ambushed at gunpoint, robbed and sexually assaulted, as she walk home from the campus library, to her residence, just off campus. >> i got few knocks on the door, it was my neighbors actually good friends, too. and they just said they heard a lot of screaming outside, all of the commotion. >> brutal crime left other student shaken and concerned. >> that is scary. because i'm over there almost every day. >> less than two hours before the attack, at carlisle and jefferson, at 15th and

thompson, few blocks away, two robbers, attacked another woman, knocking her to the grounds and firing three shots, police trying to determine if there is a link between the two crimes. >> it was three, four gunshots. >> finally these investigators are also hoping surveillance video may help lead to the attacker. meanwhile, those who live nearby are taking precautions. >> i'll probably have somebody, boyfriends, friends, walk me around, because i walk here at night all the time. >> now, preliminarilly, police believe that the victim, and companion walking home from the library, they separated right here close to where the victim lives tap the ambush and the attack occurred. special victims unit possibly holding press conference later this afternoon, if they recover video, or perhaps do composite sketch, meanwhile, anyone with information on this attack just before midnight on carlisle street is asked to call philadelphia police immediately.

much more on this developing story, walt hunter, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> walt, thank youment to breaking news, person arrested inside an area high school with a gun. this happened just within the past hour at chester high school. want to get right out to "eyewitness news" reporter greegree ghost, live at chester police headquarters with the latest information, greg? >> chester police expect to go hold press conference in just a few minutes, but here's what we know so far. shortly before 11:00 there were calls for service at the chester high school just few blocks from where we're standing, a student suspect we're told with a gun enters the high school. police put that high school on lock-down, then search each and every room individually for the student secretary expect. we're told the suspect arrested, in police custody right now, weapon was recovered. once again there is happened shortly before 11:00 this morning at chester high school. the high school since has been lifted. the lockdown has been lifted. now things are getting back to normal there at chester high school. the police commissioner and chester police are expected to

hold a press conference on this, and we should also mention very importantly, that there were no injuries during this situation. once again, before 11:00 this morning, calls for service to chester high school here in chester, a student possibly with a gun, entered that high school, the school went on lockdown, and that student was recovered as well as the gun, student right now in custody, the press conference beginning any minute. we'll be upstairs and provide you more information what's going on. fortunately no injuries at chest they are high school. there was a situation, though, with that student, suspect caring a gun into the high school here earlier this morning. for now we're live in chester, i'm greegree ghost, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> greg, thanks very much. chopper three over septa bus accident, this is at haverford and lansdowne avenues overbrook just after 10:00 this morning, septa tells cbs-3, that the driver lost control of the route 65 bus, and it hit a traffic light. five passengers and the bus driver are being treated for injuries.

so that's indicate ago tropical air mass. so that's going to help fuel some heavier showers, tonight into tomorrow morning, where we see the heaviest rain, potential one-3 inches through wednesday, specially north and west of the city. looks like saturday we have to deal with some more rain chances, that could be steady heavy rain, as well. forecast high today for philadelphia, mid 80s, that's well above the average high of 73, mid 70s at the shore, low 70s in the poconos, we time out the heavy rain coming up in the full forecast in a few minutes. >> justin, thank you. jury selection underway this noon in the trial of building contractor charged in the deadly center city building collapse. it was in june, when building being demolished 22nd and market street collapsed onto salvation army thrift shop, killing six people, inside. a dozen people were seriously injured. griffin campbell, the owner of the company, performing the demolition, faces third degree murder, as well as other charges. and the site of that collapse is being turned into a memorial park, the salvation

army donated the property in honor of the victims. organizers are trying to raise more than a million dollars to complete that work we expect update later today. >> three people including eight year old girl are in hospitals after shooting last night. this happened in feltonville. the gunfire started at about 8:30 last night, inside a home, in the 500 block of boudinot street. the eight year old was grazed but the two other women did suffer gunshot wounds. some least, but so far no arrest haves been made. send at is going to set a spending bill. measure been stripped of language to take taxpayer funding away from planned parenthood in exchange for keeping the government open. the house is expected to approve the spending bill before a midnight deadline on wednesday. planned parenthood zest eel richards appeared before congress to defend funding for

>> part of south florida a mess, under water after continuous rain, high tides cause some cars to steal in rising water. residents could experience a familiar scene later today, as more rain is headed in that direction. >> we have some rain coming our way, too, hopefully no flooding for us, justin. >> no, could be heavy, see little localized flooding, heavy rain through the overnight hours. not done, through the weekends, looks like another rounds of potentially heavy rain. wet forecast coming up. we could use it, so dry recently, widespread soaking rain across the delaware vale, where we will be trending into really the next five days, so have the umbrella handy for awhile. let's take you outside, actually nice in delaware right now. not bad beach day on this late september day. temperatures, 73 degrees, rehoboth beach. in the sunshine, right now,

wind calm, 11 miles per hour, enjoy the break, wet weather will return, so here's the set up. for today again warm day, humid, watch out for scattered showers through the afternoon, steadier rain arrives later tonight, then wednesday we have the rain likely potentially heavy wednesday morning, should catch break by wednesday afternoon. thursday, friday, again, keep showers in our forecast, then we watch the weekend possibly more of steadier rain with windy conditions, as well, as we're also watching a tropical system. we will talk about that in just a bit. bit of break, couple of breaks in the clouds, few spotty showers, trying to break out now in south new jersey, moving northward, so again eventually we start to see some of the steadier rain just to the south and west, move into the delaware valley later tonight. but look at the numbers, though, it is warm, low 80s philadelphia, trenton and south jersey dover delaware, 08 degrees, closer toward the colds front, clouds, showers, cooler, 68 in pittsburgh, 70 in state college, that cooler air will be returning to the region. here's the set up.

cool front to the west, low pressure to the south, these two systems come together to bring the steadier rain later tonight. again, i think we do catch that break on wednesday afternoon, wednesday night, but this front is just going to stall just off the coast thursday into the weekends, focus for more rain chances in the forecast. again i mention watching tropical system, this is joaquin, west of the bahamas, winds 45 miles per hour, tropical storm. notice the track, just kind of hangs out, near the bahamas over the next couple of days, starts to track northward, off shore, but still, we have the front around, so there will be a connection here, it will try to throw back some rain once again friday into the upcoming weekends, through the afternoon scattered showers, or two, then real that i steadier, heavier rain moves through the overnight hours, by 7:00, 8:00 looking better. good news for the morning commute, scattered shower or two curing the afternoon, here we go thursday again with the front close by, another wave of steady rain moves n how much rain are we talking about? through wednesday, notice brighter colors, purple, red,
