at we you'll in cooler there in doylestown good morning to you, 72. seventy-six in palmyra. so those temperatures as we go throughout the day-to-day will stay relatively warm. thinks the other big story though. we have tropical storm joaquin. as we look at our tropical satellite you can see it in action. storm warnings and watches, tropical storm warnings and watches in the bohamas as they prepare for the impacts of this tropical storm sitting at 70 miles an hour, that is very close to a cat one, still a tropical storm but only five more miles an hour and we will talk hurricane. expect to strength tone a cat two as it makes its way up the coastline and those impacts likely will be causing us some issues as we get into the the weekend. these are models just to show you not consensus yet. but we are keeping an eye on it as we role through the rest of the week. high of 78 but look at what happens thursday and friday, temperatures are low as we get in the lower 60 ease for our highs. that wind and rain will be part of it and still with us. if you haven't down loaded our

>> reporter: good morning. we have a total of two grandparents and their grandson, happening overnight here in the 1300 block of seller street here in frankford. if you can see over there, crime scene tape still on the front porch. police still inside gathering evidence the. the lets get now to video, police tell thaws 51 year-old grandfather was tied up with electrical cord and it was police actual hoy untied him and freed him from this ordeal. he told police that he awoke to a gun in his face. he said both of these men that held up his home are armed wearing dark clothing, their faces covered, he believes both men to be in their 30's and 40's. meantime as he is held hostage in his own home his ten year-old grandson and five two-year old wife were hiding under a bed and adjoining bedroom. two men they believe got in through a rear entry way on the first floor of the home. police also say they noticed in the alley that the motion sensing light bulbs have been

unscrewed from the hinge and when these men broke in they believe to have broke in through a front rather rear or side entry way breaking glass to make their way in and police tell us more about what these men stole, lets take a listen. >> when he was awoke even by two guns pointed to his face. they tied him up with electrical cords, his wrist behind his back. they gagged him by tying what appears to be a button down shirt around his mouth. then they proceeded to rob the location. they took about $200 cash. they took a 56-inch flat screen tv and they also took a play station. >> reporter: as you can hear these men making off with a long list of items here luckily victims in this case were not hurt, a bit shaken up, but police continuing to inn rest gate and they have reason to believe these men perhaps knew this home, that they robbed overnight. we are live in frankford i'm

justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". erika and nicole. philadelphia police are on the manhunt after two women attack near campus of the temple university. one of the victims is a student who was sexually assaulted and robbed on the 400 block of carlisle street monday night. two hours before that attack police a two men tried to rob a woman on thompson street. student who lives in that area said she woke up to a text alert from temple planing that attack. >> they are good about telling us what is going on and making sure we are safe. >> nervous. especially because it is so close to home. >> police are looking to see if the attacks are related, if you have any information on this call 911. police are looking for a man who got a manicure and then robbed the nail sal an at gunpoint. it went down at rockland nails in logan just as it was closing. police say after the suspect received his manicure he was asked to pay and then pulled out a sawed off shotgun.

>> pretty nerve racking to sit in the nail salon and actual get a manicure and produce a gun and announce a robbery. he is very serious about what he was doing. >> suspect grabbed cash from the manicure desk and register and stole a cell phone. no one was injured. if you can id that suspect you are asked to call police. opening statements could begin as soon as today in the trial of the contractor charged in the deadly center city building collapse. six people were killed and more than a dozen were injured when a building is being demolished at 22nd and market collapsed on the salvation army thrift shop in june 2013. griffin campbell, owner of the company performing that demolition faces third degree murder and other charges. we're following a developing story right now from overseas. russian lawmakers voted unanimously to allowed president lattimore putin to send troops to syria. chief of the putin's administration says the authorization is necessary, in order to defend russia's

>> reporter: despite a packed schedule with parades, masses and meeting was world leaders, attorneys for kentucky clerk kim davis says pope francis managed to meet privately with her and her husband joe, during his historic visit to the u.s. in a statement, davis who spent several days in jail earlier this month for refusing to issue marriage licenses, to same sex couples described the experience as humbling, saying quote, who am i to have this rare opportunity. i'm just a county clerk who loves jesus. the representation for davis said the meeting speaks volumes. >> the fact that he met with kim dave us send a message that he is someone who stands with, those individuals who are standing on their religious convictions. >> reporter: drove a brief encounter at vatican embassy in washing, he says pope hugged davis and told her to

70's. still a pretty warm day this could be the last one for a little while here as temperatures take a turn but you can see rain chances over the next four days start to get going, as we work our way into friday and saturday. we have a couple things, going on, one is stalled out front, other is tropical storm joaquin which is 07 miles an hour sustained wind, that is about 5 miles an hour less then it need to be category one as we see that throughout the day-to-day. path projected to go right up where we are, folks we are in that cone but that would be monday, early morning hours. so regardless of whether or not the impact will be right near us or come a shore further to the south we are very likely to get rain and wind. these are current models. they are starting to get a consensus bringing tonight north carolina and virginia, but we will keep an eye in the next 24 hours we will get more information there mostly cloudy, a shower around with a high of 78. that wind about 10 miles an hour. tonight a low of 58 degrees as we take a quick look at seven day forecast, this is what i'm
