"eyewitness news" reporter just continue finch joins us live on the scene with the latest on this investigation good morning are the. >> reporter: good morning. we have three victims in this home invasion, a grandfather, grandmother and their ten year-old grandson about 3:30 this morning police say that grandfather was awakened by two guns aimed at his face, leaving him helpless in a sent city home as they went room to room searching for stuff to steel. police say suspect, would be two men wearing dark clothing, and dark face masks. they broke in through a first floor alley facing entry. a motion sensing light bulb disable in the alley helped in that alley at that time. again these men had to break

open a plexiglas window and they soon found that grand fat's sleep in the bedroom. they tied and gagged him. then they went to room to room, living room to bedroom, taking $200, a play station, and a 56-inch television, all the while police say the man a's five two-year old wife and ten year-old grandson hid beneath a bed in the separate bedroom. police say it is likely intruders had no idea those two were even there. after police were called we're told officers found that man, the way these burglars left him. >> he was a asleep, in the bedroom, when he was awoke even by two guns pointed to his face. they tied him up. they tied him up with electrical cords, his wrists behind his back. they gagged him by tying what a appears to be a button down shirt around his mouth. then they proceeded to rob the

location. >> reporter: robbed the location of $200, a 56-inch tv and a play station all taken out of the same door, that these men broke through overnight. video cameras in the area may have caught the suspects, again, police say there were two armed men wearing dark clothing, face mask as well, police also believe that per the victim here they could be in their late 30's or early 40's, police continue in this morning to hold that scene for northeast detectives who will arrive here and talk to those victims and looking for surveillance video that may be in this area we are live in frankford i'm justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". so scary, thanks for the update. meanwhile philadelphia police need your help to find a suspect or suspects who attacked two women near temple university's campus. police are working to determine if the attacks are related. a 20 year-old student was robbed, sexually assaulted on carlisle street about two hours earlier, police say two men tried to rob a woman on thompson street. >> it makes you nervous, especially since it is so

close to home. >> i'm not sure i want to walk around at night. >> detective are going through video hoping to identify the suspect. if you have any information, call the police. all cleared right now but earlier this morning an accident involving a tractor trailer temporarily shut down lanes on i-95 south in philadelphia. police say that the tractor trailer hit a guardrail after colliding with another car at the vine street expressway. no injuries were reported and all lanes have since reopened. it is a big day in court as opening statement could begin in the trial of the contractor charged in the deadly center city building collapse. six people were killed and more than a dozen were injured when a building being demolished at 22nd and market collapsed on the salvation army thrift shop in june 203. griffin campbell, owner of the company performing the said demolition faces third degree murder and other charges. a georgia woman is executed overnight, despite appeals from pope francis.

kelly gisenddaner's execution was postponed twice. mother of three sang amazing grace being put to death by lethal injection. she was convicted along with her boyfriend of plotting the 1997 stabbing death of her husband. gissenddaner's boyfriend received a life sentence. it looks like pope francis may have had a secret meeting during his visit to the u.s., kim davis, kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples said she met with the pontiff in washington. vatican officials have have not yet confirmed this meeting. henna daniels has the details. >> reporter: despite a packed schedule full of parades, masses and meetings with world leaders, attorneys for kentucky clerk kim davis says pope francis managed to meet privately with her and her husband ohio during his historic visit to the u.s. in a statement davis who spent several days in jail earlier this month for refusing to issue marriage licenses to

in logan on sunday as it was closing in the 1300 block of rockland street. police say after the suspect received his manicure, he was asked to pay, in turn, he pulled out a sawed off shotgun. >> he pointed, he told the rest of the workers to go in the back. >> pretty any ofy, to go to the nail salon and actually get a manicure and then use a gun and announce a robbery. he is very serious about what he was doing. >> the suspect grabbed cash from the manicure desk and register and stole a cell phone. no one was injured, but if you can id that suspect you are asked to call police. police are looking for vandals who damaged a cemetery in new castle county delaware. "eyewitness news" was at this jewish cemetery in minquadale. now early sunday morning police found numerous grave stones separated from the basis and one broken. also a a flower pot damage. doctor milton w ahl mother, father and other relatives are

baby, the other air caring nurse. >> but now decade later they are reunited. we have a great picture. three month-old amanda scarpinot i, she's recovering from third degree burns a at albany medical center. two weeks ago amanda posted that photo to facebook hoping to find the name of the nurse. within 24 hour she knew it was sue burger a and that reunion started to get underway. emotional event happened yesterday and it turns out both women never for got their bond. >> it is an amazing take one that would never thought i would have. such a great reminder to think back on all of these interactions i have had with patients, all of the things i have done and maybe put aside the hard work and times when it was so stressful and think about this. >> the photographs are just so tender to the expression on her face and both in her hand the baby. amanda says picture helped her through difficult times in life but children heard about

here's the story we have been covering all morning long a family shaken up after gunman break in their home overnight. >> and it happened in the 1300 block of seller street. just continue finch joins us with the very latest information, good morning. >> good morning. >> reporter: good morning. detectives remain on the scene trying to get more clues after that home invasion overnight. that victimize $3 people, grandfather, grand mother and their ten year-old grandson. we have video overnight. we are told at 3:30 that grandfather had a gunpointed at his face by two armed men wearing face masks and dark clothing. they would later leave with the 56-inch tv, $200 and a
