why some are not happy tonight. but first, one week has gone by and we're still no closer to answers in the mysterious death of a three-year-old camden county boy. good evening everyone i'm ukee washington. jessica is off tonight. brendan creato found dead blocks from his haddon township home last tuesday. david spunt joins us live from camden with the latest on the investigation. david? >> reporter: ukee, we still don't have answers from the cam county prosecutor's office. not a word updating the case since last week. neighbors are frustrated. we have a three-year-old little boy who was found dead in the woods and people just want to know what happened. you can't go more than a block in haddon township without seeing blue ribbons like these. they honor a little boy found dead in the woods. half awhile from his dad's home of the bran dan' body was discover some three hours after his dad called 911. >> 911 what is your emergency. >> i just woke up and my thee-year-old is missing. >> his dad stayed on the phone

with the 911 dispatcher as detectives responded. >> did you hear anything or see anything nothing like that? >> no. i just woke up and he wasn't in my apartment. i don't know if he wandered out or what happened. i don't know where he is. the door was locked. i guess he unlock it and left. >> his grandfather david creato told "eyewitness news" he's anxious to fine out exactly what happened. >> i can't even look at his picture right now without bursting out and crying. it's just devastating. >> employees at haddonfield floral are making ribbons as a way to honor the three-year-old. >> we're going to have several on our property and we asked several of our neighbors if they would would be willing to have them also and they agreed. >> reporter: neighbors are watching the case closely. hoping for an answer and soon. >> for something like this to happen it's just -- it's absolutely devastating. >> just go to sleep right now and wake up and he's not there. and there's no answers. what happened? >> reporter: last week brendan's autopsy came back

inclusive. they also ordered a toxicology test. the results of that test have not been made public. nobody has been charged in this case. his family will hold a private memorial for him later this week. we're live in camden tonight, david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> i know you'll stay on top of this david thank you. new tonight three people are injured including two police officers in a fire in strawberry mansion. "eyewitness news" on the scene in the 1800 block of taylor street. the fire started in a home just before 8:00 o'clock. the two officers suffered smoke inhalation. there's no word on the condition of the other person who was injured. the cause of that fire is still being looked into. high school student under arrest in connection with a child porn bust in hatboro montgomery county. pablo rodriguez charged with possessing more than 1500 explicit images and videos of children some as young as three years old. the 18-year-old is a student at hatboro horsham senior high school much the pornography was found during the search along a home along east county line road where he lives with his

grandparents. the homeless parents of a toddler found wandering alone in love park in center city will have to wait to regain custody of their son. angelique roland and michael jones appeared at a family court hearing today. a judge granted them two hours of supervision twice a week with their four-year-old and two-year-old siblings. the court wants to complete drug and mental health evaluations before proceeding with the case. >> i think they're disappointed and that's normal. they want to check on some other thing. let them check. we're hoping soon this family can be reunited bauer there's no place for a child like being home with his pan. >> chose season 300 ministries rallied community support to raise $12,000 to pay for year's worth of housing for the family. two very special crime fighters spend their days and nights on the job at philly international airport sniffing out crime. customs and border patrols says their efforts are really paying off. rocco at the airport tonight and tell you more about it. diana? >> reporter: ukee, these two little beagles have already made some big stops. their owners say while they may be small, their coming through for the country in a big way. meet beagles maddie and auburn agricultural k9s patrol philadelphia international airport looking for any type of goods like food, flowers, even animals smuggled or accidentally brought into the country. >> something does get in, it could destroy millions and millions of crops. >> reporter: auburn handler melissa is hearing impaired and she's taught her sign language. two week ago they uncovered thousand of unreported currency in inside a woman's luggage. >> they find something. especially something big. the team work we do. >> in 2010 she sniffed out 85 pounds of pot in passenger's suitcase. about 4,000 passengers come through phl international

terminal this time of year when the flights come in the dogs go to work. on this flight from cancun auburn made at least three seizures which produced a few apples and banana left in in passenger's bag. >> a lot of people believe it or not they just forget they have one apple in their bag, and when a dog find it they're so surprised. >> the dogs may be small but the handlers say they've got a nose helping to protect borders and keep the country safe. >> they appreciate what we do. every once in awhile people say thank you. on average each of these dogs makes about 18 seizures per day and every once in while it's a big one. we're live outside philadelphia international airport, i'm diana rocco cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> i anna, thank you for that. mainline restaurant shut down for health code violations will reopen today. yang ming in radnor it was closed august 18th. roaches were found and pipes were dripping on to food. today our cameras got a good

look inside much the restaurant has been rein inspected by radnor township board of health and has received the okay to reopen. it has completed extensive up grades to dining rooms and the kitchen are a. it's a sign of times. parking spots in philadelphia dedicated solely to electric vehicles so they can recharge. but not everybody is juiced about the concept. our todd quinones reports, some claim the charging setup creates unfair parking advantage. >> reporter: a battle is brewing on one side subscribers to the roar of a combustible engine. on the other, those who prefer the silky quiet of an electric car and environmental friendliness it brings. >> it's just not fair to the majority of the residents. it's not like i'm taking a spot away from -- them. it just happens to be in front of my house. >> dennis lynn is a growing number of philadelphias who have an leck trek charging station

right in front of his house where park his electric car. it's illegal for gas powered cars to park there ever. >> everybody should use electric instead of gas. i think it's great. it's difficult to find a parking spot in center city here. >> reporter: philadelphia parking authority says city council approved the electric vehicle parkin parking eight ye. applications are beginning to soar. today there are 25 approved electric charges spots in the city and another 13 are pending. but that includes 19 applications this year alone. >> the push back obviously people who don't have electric car is parking at a premium in the city and now i'm losing a space. >> correct. what does the ppa say about that. >> you're taking one group happy and making another group a little bit unhappy. you try to come somewhere in the middle. limb the amount of space that is could happen per block. >> homeowners who won a space need to pay about $3,000 in installation cost. $150 annual fee in center city.

a 75-dollar annual fee outside of it. the homeowner has to pay the electric bill but anyone with electric car could technically park in this spot. but here's the rub. they would need to homeowner's physician plug in and charge. freedman fred was considering getting a spot in front of his home. >> i've had enough negative feedback i'm not going to be for. >> reporter: enough neighbors got in your ear? >> yes. disagreements own parking will likely grow. in society hill, todd quinones cbs3 "eyewitness news". new tonight a local congressman is continuing to fuel speculation that vice-president joe biden will jump in the democratic race for the white house. in washington mr. biden attended an event honoring former vice-president walter mondale. there was no mention of whether or not biden will be running for president but late tonight during a telephone town hall meeting, pennsylvania congressman brendon boyle stood by his monday tweet that stated biden will run. >> well, i put something on

there are new guidelines tonight from the american cancer society that say women can have fewer mammograms starting at a later age. the group now recommends women begin annual breast cancer screenings at 45 instead of 40. then every other year after 55. doctors caution it is not a one size fits all recommendation. the advice is for women average

risk for breast cancer. >> between 40 and 44, breast cancer is less common. there's still the risk for false positive and so we thought that needs to be informed decision between the woman and health care provider. >> the affordable care act currently mandates that mammograms are covered for women 40 and older and always when medically necessary. landmark across our area looking good in pink lights in the fight against breast cancer. among them cooper university hospital in camden. cooper taking part in the lights for the cure campaign joint effort by the cw philly, cbs3 and susan g. komen philadelphia. the statue a top another camden hospital is a glow in pink as well. you're lookin looking at our laf lourdes medical center on haddon avenue participating in lights for the cure. the pink light is a reminder for women to schedule a mammogram. october is breast cancer awareness month. strong storms earlier this year have made thing difficult for local farm that depends on pumpkins. farm in sewell, new jersey, where the hay rye this year does not entity pumpkin patch but at a witch's home. powerful storm in june killed zimmerman's pumpkin crop. >> rain was so torrential and downpours that the seeds were just packed into the soil so far that the sun couldn't reach them and they couldn't come out of the ground and come um. >> the situation at zimmerman's farm appears to be isolated. experts say the pumpkin crop in the gloucester county is strong this season. tis the season for screams and scarce and in our area there's no shortage of hair raising haunted attractions. our vittoria in glenn mills right now some of the post frightening spots are joining forces. i'm glad you stayed away from that saw i heard tori. wow! >> reporter: missed it by a hair, ukee. missed that saw by a hair. two. storm scan3 shows the line of showers going over portions of upstate new york and this is the boundary line between cold air to the north and warmer air to the south. we luckily are south of that boundary and that means some nice warm weather over the next couple of days. in fact even today, we just barely sneaked into the 70s. 71 was the high in philadelphia. 71 in trenton. 70 degrees in wilmington and got to the upper 60s in atlantic city and in allentown. so what to expect overnight? clear, but not as. we'll bottom out in the 40s in most spots right around 50 degrees in the city. for your wednesday and thursday, we're talking 70s well above average by about 10 degrees. friday and saturday cooler again. it's still dry. then we've got our next shower chance on sunday. temperatures across the live neighborhood network are in the mid 50s right now my moth meeting at 56. saint davids golf club 56. 54 degrees in will ming and mace lanning just dropped to 53 temperatures are cooling as we speak. this is a very typical set up in the summertime. high pressure to move off the eastern seaboard as it sits

offshore it pumps in warm air from the south and west. that's what we'll be feeling the next couple of days. that helps us jump into the 70s again toll. mid 70s as we wait for this cold front to arrive on thursday. then the front comes through mainly dry thursday night. we tap into a colder canadian high to the north. the sun comes back but breezy and noticeably cooler with highs only in the low 60s to finish out the week. fall foliage underway. you can go to the scary haunted houses do the hay rides you can do the pumpkin patches. fall fail i don't have moderate in the city. high up toward the lehigh vall valleyly. we bottom out around 50. not as clear as the past two nights. tomorrow nice and warm fantastic summer afternoon. a cool morning, a warm afterno afternoon. doesn't get much better than that. it's warm again on thursday. then back to the chilly stuff but sunshine again friday and saturday. so even though it's cooler, it's still dry and sunny and bright next chance for showers comes in on sunday but all in all pretty great october forecast. >> that looks really good. >> i think so.
