>> love it. >> the good news, looking at dry day today. so, for trick-or-treaters, for football fans, it will be just fine. little cool though. did you notice that when you walked out the door? >> i did, yes. >> i grabbed the coat because i was like geez that's a little chilly. we seeing some 30's, 40's, around the area right now. but pretty nice day on tap. we can expect this weekend is a sunny start to the day, some spooky afternoon and evening clouds, though. but much warmer sunday on tap. taking a live look at the neighborhood network, check out the temperatures, drexel hill, 37 degrees, just 33 doylestown, 35 in hamilton and cinnaminson coming in at 39. already in the 40's here in philadelphia. about 44 degrees right now, and you can see storm scan3 showing that the skies are relatively clear, just few clouds there, off to the west, but his is lurking further west, will start to fall apart, but will cause us to have few sprinkles on our sunday morning, i don't think game changer for plans. looking out high today about 59 degrees down the shore,

the monday any hand. >> to make it happen, diaz says victory today against the fighting irish and big bowl game would give the board sufficient if i case to put a stadium in north philly. >> all right, we also following breaking news this morning from overseas. egypt's prime minister says flaring radar about 23 minutes after take off. that plane was found for st. petersberg, search and rescue team trying to find out exactly what happened. new this morning, crews are still on the scene trying to determine the cause of a fire that broke out in the cecil b. moore section of north philadelphia overnight. this happened at 20th and oxford street, just before 2:00 this morning. the fire broke out in a row home, officials say, the build something in danger of collapsing. at least one person has been taken to the hospital. but no word on the severity of the injuries.

>> a robbery spree has a south philadelphia neighborhood on high alert. thieves are striking in the area between seventh and 13th, and washington and shunk. there have been eight robberies in that area, little more than a week. the crimes ranking from stolen phones, to a commercial business robbery. police are still searching for suspects. more and more towns are enforcing curfews to crackdown on halloween pranks. the curfew last night for juveniles in maple shade, new jersey, was set at 8:00. children we saw out and about were accompanied by their parent, which of course is a good thing, the curfew in nearby moorestown began at 8:30, and parents we talked to think the curfew starts a little too early. >> what's wrong with 10:00 o'clock? that's a normal time to be kids to be out and about. maybe after 10:00, no. >> i don't see a lot of mist chief in moore towns. >> for tonight the curfew in maple shade is 9:00 and 10:00 in moorestown.

"eyewitness news" reporter greg argos has more. >> reporter: police aren't sure why a suspect in this black sedan got out of his car with a bat. >> it is an uber lift car. looks like it is registered in new york. so we're not quite sure why he got out of this vehicle and damaged the parked vehicle.

>> bashing in the windows of this gray suv. >> the officers go to stop a male, he jumps back in this car for short distance around the area, he fleas, officers lose track at him. >> that's at 1:35 friday afternoon. minute later on the same block as the 18th police district, two plane clothes officers spot the suspect parking his car. one gets out, and chases him on foot. >> as he is chasing westbound his partner is paralelling him, as the two pass, get up toward 56th street, the partner pulls on to the sidewalk. >> as both the officer and suspect fall to the ground, a third officer, the one who originally spotted the suspect, bashing in the suv's windows; now also in pursuit in this marked police van. he can't stop in time, and hit the plane clothe officer. >> he is not able to stop quick enough. he runs over the leg of the one officer. >> investigators say the officer injured is going to be okay. though he did suffer some injuries, some fractures to his foot, and his toast. as for that suspect, he is being charged with both

vandalism and endangering the life of an officer. reporting here in west philly, greg argos, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> authorities arrest five students in connection with an after school brawl that left four allentown police officers injured. the officers were trying it break up the fight involving dozens of student outside william allen high school. part of it was caught on tape here. authorities say, a female student grabbed an officer by her hair, pulled her to the grounds, and assaulted her. three other officers were also injured. >> had the police, that was crazy. >> really, immature. i don't think educational should be doing this. >> i think super crazy. at this always see youtube, but never witness that before, crazy. >> the student rent charged with aggravated assault, riot, disorderly conduct and other offenses. still ahead on "eyewitness news", kyla grogan back to tell fuss there is any reason to be scared of our halloween

time that tracks over here, it is not going to be a problem for us. as you can see, we have relatively clear skies right now. so everything looking really good for us. so not going to be a problem for us. we just have maybe few sprinkles on your sunday morning, that's it, we stay dry for halloween. current temperatures, chilly 44 in philadelphia, 34 mount pocono, to 32 in allentown, 35 in lancaster, little warmer down the shore there. we've got wildwood at 41 degrees. we zoom in, take a lock at quakertown, 30 degrees, several places below freezing, that includes pottstown, and doylestown there, as well. so it is a chilly start. now if we have got little saving grace here, so the winds is calm. it helps, right, because we had breezy conditions the past couple of days, five, 6 miles per hour not bad at all. we we go through the morning, see we have clear, chilly morning, bright sunshine, but cool there, get to the 40's around 9:00 a.m. 50's as we get into 11:00 a.m. then later in the afternoon when the clouds move n taking a look at future weather, show you that we start off with the sunshine, clouds will roll in from the west, that's about

3:00 p.m. and as we get into our trick-or-treating hours not bad. we stay dry. this is overnight. by sunday 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., see few sprinkles trying to make their way in, not a big deal for us, though it, takes us through our sunday, litlestown start, some clouds. your halloween forecast, staying dry, weaver spooky clouds for tonight. it will be cool and creepy, and you can see temperatures there in the low 50's, and upper 40's, so i think just perfect at best probably will need jacket. just it gave you a idea, warmest halloween in 1946, 82 degrees, can you imagine, the coldest was in 1925, 41 degrees, and by the way that year, they got some snow. and the wettest was 1.32 inches all the way back in 1895. we won't set any records this time, i this i that's a good thing. we also have little football game going on. have you heard? temple taking on notre dame. going to be little chilly tonight about 8:00 when they kick off. but again, dry evening, about 49 degrees, and the wind, nice and calm, just out of the south 5 miles per hour. not bad at all. also, i want to mention the

foliage. hitting peak season and much of pennsylvania, so, it is a great time to do little leaf peeping. you can see already past peak at mount pocono, but allentown looking good there, and close to it here in philadelphia, we are hi, so i got beautiful photo, from mike type err. he's, yes, isn't that great? photographer of ours. he sent this from pemberton, new jersey, look how beautiful the red colors are there. so great day to get out, check it out. look out your window now, see it everywhere, right? so today we start sunny, afternoon clouds, high of 58 degrees. wind giving us a break, staying nice and light. tonight will be chilly but dry, so 47 degrees. we get the overnight sprinkle, shouldn't affect our trick-or-treaters. so stay dry for the evening. then overnight talking five to 9:00 a.m. that's when we can see the sprinklement take a look at the seven day forecast, we wind back the clocks tonight, get extra hour of sleep, i'm super excited about. we start warming up sunday. look what happens as we get into tuesday, 70 degrees, oh, but there is more, 72 on

raised approximately $100,000. >> gibbs says for now, no more fundraise remembers planned, and she'll consult with staff about the october 31 deadline and go over the current numbers. and announcement is expected next week. complete redevelopment would cost more than $200 million. number susan gibbs is hoping a private developer would pay. she told "eyewitness news", a few developers have expressed recent interest. >> are you at peace with whatever happens? >> no, i'm not at peace. we can't -- she's got to stay afloat. >> david spunt, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". well the philadelphia inquirer, daily news and philly.com are merging news rooms, that move announce the by the publisher philadelphia media network, also comes with layoffs. the company will continue to put out separate papers. the changes are expected to save the company five to $6 million. >> well, get out the vote effort are ramming up across the region as election day approaches on tuesday.

non-substantive questions. in a dramatic policy shift, the obama administration has made the decision to send us soldiers into syria. some lawmakers are criticizing the move, saying it was made without a clear us strategy in the war torn nation. correspondent craig boswell with more from the white house. us troops will soon be on the ground in syria. less than 50 members of us special forces will deploy to northern syria to help coordinate the fight against isis. >> they do not have a combat mission. they have a training advising and assist mission. >> the soldiers are expected to assess the situation on the ground, and determine which group the us can best partner with to fight isis. while house officials trying to down play the new orders, insisting this is not a shift in policy. >> this is an intensification of strategy that the president announced more than a year ago. the core of our military strategy inside of syria is to build up the capacity of local forces, to take the fight to ice ill on the ground in their own country. >> us secretary every state, john kerry; currently in
