so far no arrest have been made we'll bring you the latest throughout the evening. also our other top story police are investigating reports of tainted halloween candy in chester county community. good evening i'm natasha brown. two families found the candy you just saw there in their childrens trick or treat backs discovered in kennett square. eyewitness news is at the police department at this hour with the very latest. >> reporter: well natasha tonight 6 pieces of candybars are being inspector ted. county detective spent much of the day here at the police department questioning the different family members involved. but tonight they are not able to say where this candy came from or who it came from. >> we all kept our 26 and our skills and our nickers we didn't find any in the neck considers. >> reporter: the lay after halloween this year kennett square police department instead

of eating his candy he's trying to help police under why his twiq had a needle in it. >> snoot it's very disturbing. >> reporter: police say around midnight they received a report of sewing like needles in 27twiq bars. he says he first saw posts on facebook about a needle in a nickers bar so he and his friends all ages 7 to 12 checked there's and made the discovery. >> there were 4 kids involved. they are not all related. two separate families. but they all went trick or treating together in the same area. >> reporter: police investigate all complaints as legitimate until proven otherwise. but the report was enough to prompt police to send out alerts early sunday morning warning neighbors. >> check the candy again. >> reporter: by sunday afternoon another child came forward to report he found a needle in his

nickers bar police say they did not think that 12 year old went trick or treating with other. >> what did you think when you saw that. >> we were nervous and we called its police because we didn't know what was going to happen. then we all came to the house. everybody checked they're candy. >> reporter: tonight that's the message police are stressing to parents. check your child's candy and maybe check it again. >> reporter: to be clear police say they don't think the two groups went trick or treating together. but they are looking into whether they no one another. none of the candy was ingested. if they find this was legitimate the person responsible likely faces at least reckless endangerment charges. reporting live eyewitness news. >> it was a chilly halloween looks like warmer temperatures are right around the corner for us. let's get over to lauren casey in weather center with first look at the forecast. we were dealing with clouds

then we are going to warm things up as we head into tomorrow a lot more as we head into midweek we'll talk about that warm up in just a few. >> thank you very mop. officials are trying to figure out what caused a fire at a montgomery complex that killed one woman and forced dozens from homes. res p departments in plymouth township are still dealing with the after math tonight. >> didn't look so bad when it was dark in the daylight e. >> like many of the residents she can't believe her eyes. >> this as missing. >> more than 30 residents evacuated halloween night when a fast moving fire tore through building e around 10:30. damaging 19 of 24 apartments. >> some people furniture and property is damaged. >> officials forced to ring 3 alarms as firefighters rescued several residents and pets. and used latter hoses to tackle flames several feet high.

basket this morning. officer say they found a woman's body to the atlantic palace condominium on the 15 hundred block of board walk at around 7 a.m. no word on cause of death just yet. >> police in camden meantime are asking pho the public's help in finding a epstein who went missing on halloween. police say 16 year old john harris was reported missing last night from his home on the 2700 block of nickel avenue. he's described as a hispanic male 5 feet tall with brown layer and brown eyes. if you have any information about his whereabouts please contact police in camden county right away. new details he emergency in the plane crash that claimed the lives of more than 200 people. russia's top avis official says the plane broke a part at a high altitude shortly after take up in egypt. core responder brian web has more.
