"eyewitness news" reporter january car barrow joins us at police headquarters where authorities are still is her clinic for the gunman. jan, good morning. >> erika, good morning, that's right, police still tracking the suspect at this point there are no arrests to report. in the meantime, family, friends, are mourning the death of 16 year old who was just out riding his bike on sunday evening, when he was gunned down. in the strawberry mansion section of the city. this is his picture, vigil held for sell even west, friends, family, gathered to remember the high school student. police say west was shot just after 4:30, sunday evening, riding his bike on the 2200 block of sedgley avenue. he was with his 15 year old

friend at the time. investigators say, at some point, they end corned earth several men in silver buick, for some reason two men got out of the car and started firing at the boys on bike. west shot in in the back, died n the hospital. his friends still can't believe he's gone. >> he is a young boy like that, go so fast, man. i ain't even see him do too much. man, i see him go to school, played little basketball. 's good kid, man. wrong place, wrong time, wrong crowd. >> i ran down the block, i see all of these cops. then i go across the street, he is laying there traumatized i don't know. >> and that is tienear anderson, 15 year olds boy who was with west as the gunfire rang out. we'll hear more from him in our next hour, also hear plea from this community for help in tracking down the suspects again, no arrest haves been made, anyone with information

are asked to call police. jan carabeo, "eyewitness news". >> jan, thank you. this man now facing murder charges for almost decade old cold case in gloucester county. police arrested john blocker yesterday. they say he's one of four people who ambushed juan cue vest in his washington township home and beat him to death back in 2006. he owned a germantown auto part shop. detectives are still looking for three other suspects. a warning for runners this morning, another woman said she was attacked on the schuylkill river trail. the woman told police a boy on a bike inapropriately touched her while she was you can wag -- walking with her boyfriend. other women reported similar attacks last month. >> 5:35 right now n your business news this morning, the markets kick off the month of november with a big surge. money watch's jill wagner joins us from the new york stock exchange, take it and hope for more. good morning.

>> reporter: that's right, good morning, erika. wall street starting november with a rally. the dow jumped 165-point yesterday, it is now in positive territory for the year. the nasdaq rose 73, inning back to up record high. all right, the holiday shopping season, could be make or break for retailers which is why it seems to be starting earlier and earlier. amazon now launched it "black friday" deal, will post daily deals now until december 22, prime members will get 30 minute head start for additional lightning deals. those will run at various times throughout the day. >> and, some say amazon.com helps kill the book store, so it is with a bit of irony that amazon is opening its first physical book store this morning, in seattle. it will carry about 6,000 books, including amazon.com customer favorites, prices are the same, as on line. >> and, pepsi going back to the future again. company row-releasing several thousand bottles of it pepsi perfect this morning at 9:00 a.m. they will be available on line at shop pepsi.

wounds, he was so cold, the temperature wouldn't register on the thermometer. the heart rate wouldn't register on the machine. >> justice rescue officer russ harper rescued the pitbull terrier found along this chester street by a police officer, who stayed at the dog's side for an hour, until harper could rush him for treatment. the officer not just helping save the dog's life, but also, in those sad moments, giving him a name. >> remi. >> i heard him cough. i heard the problems, so i didn't want him to die without a name. >> but with wounds stapled, antibiotic registered, remi is now hoped will survive and fully recover. at one and a half, it is believed he simply out grew his usefulness to the vicious dog fight promoters who abandoned him on the street wounded and dying. >> he woke to up love. you know, he was alive, but when he woke up from recovery, all he saw was love here. >> remi, who apparently was

happening, low 40's, even upper 30's, even the cold spot, slightly below freezing, gilbertsville, eileen checking in at 31 degrees, however, cold. ed connor, phil's howls, 39. middletown, delaware, little cool there, 41 degrees, same deal in clementon, new jersey, upper 30s, in perkasie, cherry hill four; sailors berg up in the poconos looking at 35, at this hour. you get the picture. clear skies this morning, it is cold, but full sunshine this afternoon, really warms us up quickly. so today, sunny, warm, same deal tomorrow. we dealing with a streak of the 70s, really through the end of the week, next shor chance comes in possibly thursday, better chance coming in later on friday. here's the set up. high pressure over us right now, across the mid-atlantic. that's blocking any storms from developing. check it out, storm scan3, nothing happening. same deal again tomorrow. with the high over us, as we go into the future there, big area of high pressure, large and in charge, starts to move off shore later wednesday, into thursday. each day, though, it is warm, start to see clouds returning on thursday.

as little disturbance moves in from the south maybe stray shower, but the jet stream well to the north. that's what you want if you want warm temperatures. just check out the surge of warmer air. this is wednesday. talking highs mid 70s, sticks around, on friday. so, the jets, all the way up here, so we're underneath t you just get this big push of warmer air. so i think friday's highs, could be the warmest this week. if we see enough sunshine, then finally for the weekends, we start to bring some cooler air back in here. but nothing terribly cold for early november. today, though, 71 degrees, full sunshine, tonight, another cool night with clear skies. fifty-two for center city. four's in the suburbs. and here is the extended forecast, pretty much repeat wednesday. just few degrees warmer at 74. clouds return thursday and friday. stray shower possible thursday. still warm at 72. friday, late in the day, best shot for some showers, some of the showers could linger into early saturday. but then we dry it out. second half of the weekends back to the 50's sunday into monday, what's the latest? >> spends a lot of time outside this week, thanks so much, justin. things looking good on the

roadways, take a look at this, just postcard picture perfect view of the schuylkill and spring garden. i love this shot. specially when we're starting to s the skylight up gist little bit. traffic levels, not bad either. just beautiful shot there. new jersey, 42 freeway northbound creek road, approach 295, looking good there is stretch looking real good in fact it did yesterday too. mondays, tuesdays, tends to be very busy on the stretch. right now things looking good. of course getting your normal flow, but overall things are holding stead think morning, so far. ninety-five southbound at academy road. this is another area, kind of keeping our eye on, taillights, moving in the southbound direction looking good in and around the area. in fact 95 looking pretty good this morning. when we go to the wide, you can see, 55 on the schuylkill, which is good, 95, holding at 55, as well, the vine, dropping just ever so slightly, to 48, but overall, nothing too worried about there. fifty-five in new jersey, downed pole, 07 eastbound before maple avenue still there blocking two right lanes and the shoulder. erika, back over to you.

bently tips the scales at 228 pounds. that big dog also eats about 110 pounds of food a month. meisha, he needs his own so far a owner said even vets are amazed at his size. >> i think by the vets, they're actually shock on the size that he was, because they said they never saw one his size either. so once they told me don't let him get over 240, i sort of then realized he is a large one. >> oh, no kidding. now, guiness officials are evaluating the claim. see what he is doing right there? five year old bently does have parlor trick. has taught himself to get ice from the fridge. so he knows to nose the door there, and walks away with a little snack. all right, 5:00 a one right now. an unusual scare for some train passengers. see what caused them to jump off the ground. stranded at sea how these fishermen were finally rescued after drifting in the ocean for months. we'll be right back.

soaking flooded portland, oregon, the water even went into passenger bins, see it there? parts of the track ended up several feet under water, transit agency admits the driver should not have gone on to the water-logged track. >> four south american fishermen rescued after drifting in the ocean for a month. mexican navy said it pick them up saturday after navy plane spotted them in the water. they went fishing in ex width or late september, but got lost at sea and their both ran out of fuel. treated for dehydration but are expected to be okay. >> jimmy carkner memphis building habitat for humanity home despite the fact he's been battling brain cancer. cart he err was originally schedule to volunteer during week long build in nepal this week, but the trip was canceled because of supply shortages, civil unrest in the region. carter says it is too soon to tell whether the treatment he's been receiving has been effective against his brain cancer. we have a cut-back on the schedule yet.
